Bird Colonization in a Restored Prairie in Maryland: Dr. Douglas E. Gill

Dr. Douglas E. Gill will share the history and early results of restoring habitat for grassland birds, especially Grasshopper Sparrows. Dr. Gill received his Ph.D. in Evolutionary Ecology from the University of Michigan. He has been on the faculty of the Department of Biology of the University of Maryland since 1971 and is now a Professor Emeritus there. He has led scientific expeditions all over the world from Alaska to Antarctica.
