Marbled Murrelet Research: Josh Ward
n 2023, Josh was stationed in Roseburg, Oregon to conduct Marbled Murrelet surveys. This talk will not only be about this research, but will cover the rich bird life of Oregon and the natural environment of Oregon in general. Josh graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in wildlife conservation. He is a passionate poet, birder, and all-around naturalist, and has worked on several seasonal field jobs across the United States.

In 2021, a floating island or raft was constructed to provide breeding habitat for Common Terns and placed in Chincoteague Bay near Assateague Island.
