Good info! That's a really nice big box VFT. I had good luck using a sunscreen/ large holed tarp from Amazon to cut the sun back a bit. But yeah, I killed a couple this past spring by not acclimating correctly. Thanks.
fly traps acclimatised to full sun will not only survive outdoors even in a month long heatwave in australia but go absolutely ballistic doing so can confirm

For dormancy in NYC, do I put the Flytrap outside or on the windowsill? From December to February, the temperatures are usually below freezing.
@@captainiosbeeswarm7432 they can handle the cold. Once it goes below 10°F, I would recommend covering the plants to prevent them from freeze drying.
