T1D is like being given an additional backpack to carry around with you at all times. You can’t take it off, you have to constantly unpack and repack it, even when you are exhausted. But you can learn to live with it not around it. Love and hope to all with diabetes of all types, from another T1D.

Hy there everyone I'm Jarrod and I have been living with Type 1 Diabetes for 14 years.
What would help is if Science could invent a type of Insulin that can allow you to inject 1 or Twice for the rest of the day regardless on what you eat.

Exactly where I am right now completely exhausted. I thought I could walk and exercise my way into controlling my diabetes. Diabetes has taken over my life! What should I eat, what can’t I drink blah blah blah it makes me furious that I may loose the fight on this battle !

I am a type 1 diabetic and yes I am managing it very well now but my diabetic doctor does NOT understand how hard it can be sometimes. She used to go and on about it for quite some time and last year she even put me on a BRAND NEW insulin. All she told was that I had to inject 40 units at lunchtime (but I changed it to first thing in the morning as it was I was used to before) and that it lasted 48 hours and that was it. I found out myself on google and youtube how it worked! At first it was a nightmare, but after two weeks it finally worked and I got a good HBA1C reading in December having having a blood test done. I just wished I had more support about how it can affect your every day life, and not just the mechanical aspects of how it should go.

i don’t know what kind exactly imhave , maybe type 2
. i had hypoglycemia when i was a kid and grew out of it. then i had gestational diabetes in 1982,then it retuned in 1994. my endo said its beause of the gestational! since i was65 my readings have become irratic and no meds or insulin or anything helps when i get dangerous lows and highs one right after another. i was pit on a new diet and i’ve gotten some weight back. it took me yearsbto get to my goal weight! and that happened. just not fair! makes me mad and sad at the same time, sometimes everything is okay but it doesn’t last morebthan two days. i have been rushed to the hospital with ketoacidosis was in a coma for five days. thankyou to God and the dr.s that helped me survive. i worry all the time that it will happen again and i might not survive this time. diabetes has damaged my eyes with diabetic retinopathy and my stomach has nueropathy in it, of all things. it could be worse, so i try to keep strong and try to find good things in my life! i hope everyone here is getting the help they deserve. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

I just hope the people' mentality could change in India as well, specially if our spouse could understand our mental health, why we feel anger and different negative emotions in our daily life, though what are ur thoughts on getting married? Could it lead us to a more screwed situation, i am a type 1 diabetic and i feel like im being narcissistic for putting up my needs and medicine and health as my first priority and then second is my fiance, am i foing something wrong😢
