Good morning Janey, I love the garden tree. I started decorating a small garden tree several years ago when I bought the gardening ornaments from your shop. I now blame that obsession for all garden ornaments on you😂❤. I love my garden tree which I setup in my kitchen. Thank you for your inspiration and your love of all things gardening. 😊
That was my dear cat, "Henry," who advised me to send the glass garden ornament to you. Sadly, Henry passed last December, but seeing this ornament on your gardening tree made me smile throughout the whole video, and brought back memories of our rambunctious kitty. Happy Holidays Janey! 🥰😺💐
During the mid-to-late summer, I make pesto and freeze it with my basil. That way, I can add it to whatever recipe I wish to. I have dried basil, but it quickly disappears, since you use a lot of it with each recipe. I first started putting my pesto in ice cube containers, and then popping them out and putting in a freezer bag, but recently I heard that they get freezer burn easily. They recommended putting them in freezer bags and then flattening them out and freezing it that way, and when you need to use them, just break off a piece. I've enjoyed them this way better, and it also makes sense with not having such a large area of your freezer with the cubes. Enjoy your herbs with your recipes! Always enjoy watching your videos!
I grow tons of rosemarry...I take a small handful, vanilla, and lemon slices or lemon juice. Add to to small saucepan add water. Simmer for a little while turn off. Makes the house smell so good. It's a dupe copycat William Sonoma store signature scent. I use small saucepan, add 2 cups water. A small bunch of rosemary dry or fresh, lemon slices or lemon juice a couple of teaspoons, and a splash of vanilla extract. Simmer for 30 minutes. Then turn off...It's amazing...it's is a heathly way to scent the home.
I love you videos. I watch every day. You are a precious young lady inside and out. You wear your makeup perfectly and even when you don’t you are still beautiful. Stay with who you are. It’s enough.
Love the herb drying rack. Bummer it’s not available right now. Hopefully in the future. Tip for storing your herbs (thyme and oregano): when they’re dry it’s super easy to pull your fingers down the stem as you hold the stem to get the leaves off and aren’t stuck with hard stems in recipes. I do this and it works so well and you can fit a ton more in your cute jars 😉
Janey-could you install a pulley up at the peak of your office ceiling and hang your herb-drying rack off of the pulley? That way you could raise it out of your way, and lower it for access when you need it. Might as well use all of that volume.
I just love your tree. My Grandma always did a Birds and Bell tree. It had feathered birds it was always so beautiful.to get your parsley to stay green you have to dry it in the dark like a closet. Store it in a dark color glass container and it will retain its color longer.
Seeing you store your herbs reminded me that I need to make some poultry seasoning herb blend before Thanksgiving. I saw a recipe that said I should use parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme! That’s easy to remember 😀
🦃Hi Janey, Herbs will keep as long as you keep them in a dark dry place, as long as they have that scent they're still good like your little herb dryer it's cute. Your office is so adorable 😍, I have two miniature pencil Christmas trees you can put them any where in the house. Thank you for sharing. Have a wonderful rest of the day and weekend stay dry. 🍂 😊 👋
Putting the bundle of thyme in a bag and gently crushing will knock the little leaves off the stems and not make too much of a mess. Remove the stems and then you can bottle just the leaves.
Hello there. Rain, what is that? LOL You guys are lucky with the rain. We haven't had any in Southern AZ. Love your pencil xmas tree and your space. Everything is looking great outside. I maybe wierd, but I love those dark, rainy days. Ugh, I would love a day that like here. Have a great weekend. I'm about to go outside and finish decorating for christmas.
Thank you for the tip regarding leaving dried herbs intact until use! Question, will you be giving us a Christmas home tour this year? Please!!! Zone3 snowy Manitoba 🇨🇦🎄❄️
Hi Janey 🌺 . Your office looks so beautiful with this pretty christmas tree and you can hang a wreath on the wall near the tree . Wonderful dried herps . Have a great weekend .🌻🎄🌻
What a fun and inspiring video! Loved it! Also, loved your beautiful cream colored turtleneck sweater! Could you share where you purchased this and a link if you have it? Thank you!❤
Just my opinion but I think tender stem herbs (like parsley) dry better in a quick dehydrator and woody stem types do better with air drying. I've started writing on the metal lids with permanent marker and it cleans off fairly well with rubbing alcohol.
It looks beautiful Janey! Love the tree! Also your make up looks awesome…with the white/ivory sweater! It gives it a soft look! Hope you and your family have a Happy Thanksgiving 🍁!
Good morning Janey! Love your tree! But, I have a question for do you have a favorite scented candle? I just finished one of sage and lemon. I wish I had bought more! Such a soft and comfort scent for the evening. Anyway, drying herbs is not something I have done, but want to do. Thank you for showing the way you store for cooking. I learn from you new things alot! The tree is perfect!❤😊
Where is the greenhouse ornament? I went to website and can't find it.
Depending on which browser you’re using, you may need to scroll sideways in the holiday section to see everything! 😊
@@Jason_DPWR ohhhhhh
I was able to find it and order.
Janie your tree would be cute in a terra cotta pot or urn. Your office is so cozy! Love your channel . Your new property is amazing!
I’m putting up a tree for the first time in 13 years. Going with a red & white theme with a splash of silver. I’m so excited! 🎄
Put that tree up & put on some Christmas themed movies/shows on Netflix while you’re at it! I’m so excited for you! Christmas rocks!
Your office is such a pretty, warm, cozy reflection of who you are sweet friend. I love it!! 💕💕
We had the bomb. Now we have more heavy rain coming too. Pacific Northwest.

just a suggestion for your herbs. Parsley, dill and basil freezes very well and you get that fresh taste.

I bought that greenhouse last year, 2 of them, one for a friend, and I just love it so much. I am going for a nature Christmas tree too this year.
The tree is so pretty. I’ve had a small garden themed tree for years. I have it in a terracotta pot but mine is more rustic.
Oh I love that idea!

So true about leaving the leaves intact. I love my homegrown herbs! But you can strip them off the stem. They will be yummy.
