Rain check! Taking a little break from building to add a little berm... and enjoy the snow!

It's getting into a time of year when there are more chances of precipitation. So, it's a good day to prepare the hole area for surface water flow. A couple of small berms on the uphill side of the site is most of what it needs. This ground absorbs water pretty fast so there is very little surface flow. I'll show my tiny wash areas in another video. With so little surface flow I don't need tall wide berms. Small ripples like on a sandy beach will catch the surface water and plantings along the berm, will absorb and store the water.
This band of moisture and plants will also provide another habitat zone for wildlife.
And did I mention that it started snowing while I was making the berm?!
