    I can't believe how well this worked! My huge fabric piles are now neatly stored and easy to access. Thanks for the great organizing tips!

    I love the idea of rolling the fabric. I am still going to keep my fabric in lidded totes to help keep them clean from dust, pet hair & any bugs. But i can still roll them in the totes & stand the rolls on end so i can see all that is in the totes. I do all kinds pf patchwork toys, purses, curtains, table runners, etc., so i sort according to color, fabric type & prints with light & dark backgrounds. Boy oh boy i have a lot of totes to go thru & change to this style of storage. LOL

    This way of storing is genius! I used it for my studio in my home and my fabrics are so easy to organise. I use it for my Edinburgh Press cabinet as well. Thank you!

    I store my towels like this, it never occurred to me to store fabric like this. Thank you. It will be much easier than digging through my boxes and the material I want is always at the bottom.

    I liked the idea of rolling fabric especially if I don’t have ton of space and it’s better than just keeping them in a storage bin and unable to see what I have. Thanx for the great idea

      Thanks for the feedback. I love this method because it is so easy to pull out one piece of fabric in the middle without messing it all up

    Love this idea. I just sorted my scraps by color but I do like to do scrappy project. However I have to have more bends open to pull different colors. Any ideas.

    I love the cubby bins being stored on their side and the rolls exposed! Are those the standard 13" h x 13" w x 15" d bins? They look larger :)

      Carrie Sleutskaya these are cubby bins from IKEA, I believe they are the same measurements you listed. It is amazing how much fabric fits in these. Thank you for watching!

      These are the bins from IKEA, so they may be a little taller?

    Do you get more creases in the fabric when you roll?

    • @TheWhimsicalWorkshop
      @TheWhimsicalWorkshop  3 года назад +3

      no actually by rolling the fabrics I get less and they do not require as much pressing before starting. Thanks for watching
