I asked Him recently to show me my sin and He did right away. and I asked Him to show me in what ways it manifests itself and He showed me right away again. There was another time many years ago when I was reading something I knew right away I was guilty of it and I confessed it to God and he cleansed me of it and filled me right away with His Holy spirit again and He started working in my heart again.

Did you know? The Scriptures clearly predicted that the Holy Spirit was only for specific people. Do you have an idea to whom? It was NOT meant for everyone according to the Bible prophecy . People were set part through faith and believing and obeying the gospel of the Kingdom before the NT writings even existed. They were saved that way. No human blood sacrifice needed either. The change began in my life when I made studying scripture a daily discipline. God's Word is what makes the change. When we pray we are speaking, but when you read you are listening to God speak. I've met so many people who crave the need to speak on tongues but their life's are a mess. The fruits of the Spirit are clear as the pastor mentioned. Let's focus on those first before desiring to speak in tongues. Otherwise we are looking for the experience instead of simply believing in God and his sovereignty.

Cesar I agree with you. God's Words are alive and inspired by the Holy Ghost. I was told by God to get as much as I can inside of me so the Holy Spirit can retrieve them when needed. I believed that the Holy Spirit is a spirit of God that comes and dwell within your physical body. You will see the Holy Spirit upon your eyes and hear the sound of it in your ear. Furthermore the Holy Spirit will teach you all things that are mysteries to us.

If a brother is not letting the word speaks for itself then the ones who have greater knowledge should help him. As the word says, as iron sharpens iron so one man sharpens another. I hear alot of talks about speaking in tongues but if you don't love all the speaking in tongues will be in vain. I rather prophesie rather than speaking in tongues.
I tryed for months and one night our pastor anointed me with oil and layed his hand in prayer on me and it was the most amazing experience I ever had, the fact I prayed for months months and to finally receive was amazing and my baptism was even creater ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ just keep praying and asking. I completely agree with the two other commenters. I too have experience this and they are right it is a mind blowing experience. It’s to know Christ’s LOVE, which a four dimensional experience. Meaning that time becomes lifted from you. You understand at the core that you are eternal as the the Holy Spirit now takes residence. You feel Him every where you go. Although, I didn’t receive the Holy Spirit as the other two had in the same fashion. I received by totally doing an open heart search for Him. If you search for God, meaning seek everything you can to know that He is true. He then will reveal Himself to you!! You will understand immediately the depth of what Paul is really trying to convey in the whole book of Ephesians. Some scripture can only be interpreted by the Holy Spirit. It’s the solid food Paul refers to. However I can reiterate enough...search, drive 300 miles if you have too. You will find Him!! I leave you with this. God Loves you more than you can imagine! Search for him. You will find Him!! In fact it’s the most common way you can. It’s referenced in the Old Testament like Jeremiah 29 all the way even into the book of Revelation chapter 3. Look at the church of Laodicea. In fact that church period which is now, appears that searching for God is now the only way to find Him because you can’t find Him at church anymore. Except for a few out there. Which are the types the other two commented over. Even demonic people speak in tongues. Anyway all I can say is when you receive the holy spirit everything changes you become new and the spirit leads you in every occasion that's only if you and the spirit are intact.

I believe demons can speak in their type of speaking in tongues. Always a counterfeit tongue compared to Christ followers speaking. That's why evidence of God's spirit in Christians is their fruit, life and witness. Everyone that receives The Holy Ghost WILL speak in tongues, that is how you know The Holy Ghost has come in. Every time someone in the book of Acts received The Holy ghost, it was evidenced by The Speaking in that unknown tongue. Jesus said to Nicodemus in St. John 3rd chapter. Nicodemus was not quite understanding how to be reborn again, and He wasn't understanding The Holy Ghost. I kept looking for a cure for my illness but it was getting worse. I didn't remember how i came across to Sid Roth It's Supernatural. When I was in youth group in my church we learn about Jesus and his teaching. Our pastor ask us do we want to receive Christ. I was one of the Youth that said Yes. We had classes on the teaching . Than I was water baptize in the name of the father , Son and Holy Spirit. The later is the Holy spirit that I receive before emerge in the water . There no baptism in the Holy Spirit apart from water baptism. You receive the Holy spirit when you first believe Jesus died for you to take away your sins. I've watched so many preachers especially on VTN that say you will speak in tongues and heal the sick and all of that if the holy spirit is within you. So i have felt like I'm coming short somehow not doing something right or maybe my faith isnt as strong as I thought maybe there is some doubt that is hidden somewhere that I need to find before the holy spirit can live within me. This has made me feel so much better . Although I do believe that there are ppl today who can speak in tounges , lay hands on ppl and heal the sick in jesus's name . They are confusing the fruits of the Spirit and the gifts of the Spirit. This is really common. In Joel 2:28 I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; KJV John 14:17 but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. KJV Acts 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit was giving them utterance. Notice all. Joel 2:28 was fulfilled in Acts 2:16 but this is what was spoken of through the prophet Joel: Acts 2:38-39 Proves that speaking in tongues is for every believer. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 For the promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off, as many as the Lord our God will call to Himself." When God stops calling people to himself then the gift ends. At one point in time the Apostles thought that The Baptism in the Holy Ghost was only for Israel or many would say for Jews only. Many teach today that it was only for a select group of people. And most add way back then to that statement. However Acts 10 Shows it was for everyone. Acts 10:44-48 While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who were listening to the message. 45 All the circumcised believers who came with Peter were amazed, because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles also. 46 For they were hearing them speaking with tongues and exalting God. Then Peter answered, 47 "Surely no one can refuse the water for these to be baptized who have received the Holy Spirit just as we did, can he?" They knew that they were filled because they heard them speak with tongues. Why because that was the sign God gave on the day of Pentecost. So lets move to 30 years after the day of Pentecost . Acts 19:2 He said to them, "Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?" And they said to him, "No. They were believer yet without the holy Ghost 30 years after Pentecost. Act 19:5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. 6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they began speaking with tongues and prophesying. It is so clear in the scriptures yet people have an agenda against the way God said it comes. 1 Cor 14:18 I thank God, I speak in tongues more than you all. This scripture shows that the whole Corinthian church spoke in tongues. They all did it but Paul did it more often All of the Apostles churches did because they all had the same doctrine. Ephesians 5:18 be filled with the Spirit was written to a church that spoke in tongues, not to a half covenant people that only take part of the promises of the kingdom of God. So the question may be fairly asked do all speak with tongues? The context of the verse is Do all speak with tongues do all interpret? There is a spiritual gift for the churches edification, which is one of the 9 spiritual gifts because it is tied to interpretation. The gift of the Holy Spirit is different. It does not require interpretation and it is for personal edification. The cases in Acts prove this otherwise every person that spoke would have to have someone with the gift of interpretation. Didn't happen. The benefit of speaking in tongues is: your spirit prays to God for things you don't know how to pray for. You build yourself up in the Holy Ghost. You receive power. It opens the door for the operation of many other gifts of the spirit. My challenge to you is this. Find a church that prays in tongues for an hour before Sunday service begins. Go to the members and ask them if they would ever give up speaking in tongues. Then ask them a simple question. Why? I have seen so many miracles, deaf people hear, those who have legs with one shorter than the other and watched them grow to the same length. In July we went with 260 people to Nicaragua and in 1 week documented 13000 salvation's and so many miracles. I live in Bible days and see the same things they saw back then. There is so much more in Jesus why not receive it?
Amen. You speak truth. All the Letters or (churches) in the New Testament were filled with the Holy Ghost evident by speaking in new tongues (Mark 16:17). Many make the mistake of confusing the Gift of tongues for edification in the church setting (which not all have) to the baptism of the Holy Spirit (which ALL should have) who truly believe.

I hope this gives some clarity. If an individual prays in tongues they pray to God. The edify themselves, build themselves up in the Holy Spirit. If the entire church is speaking in tongues then the entire church is edified on an individual basis. One by one. Church edification on a corporate basis comes through the gift of tongues. Instead of being a prayer to God it is a God speaking through someone to the church. So one would stand up while the rest of the church listens. The essence is that it is a prophecy in another language to the congregation. When a tongues like this comes we are instructed in the bible to pray for an interpretation. The tongues language can be human or angelic. Since it is intended to be interpreted. Paul in Scripture says let it be by two or three and if there is not an interpretation then those giving the tongues need to stop. You can't have one person speaking while everyone waits for an hour with no interpretation. The reason it is allowed to happen three times is to give opportunity. The person who hasthe interpretation may not be yielding or fearful of stepping out. God wants us to grow in the gifts. You can't grow if there is no opportunity to practice.
You are quite correct ! The Holy Spirit's role in the Christian's life is sanctification ( making one holy )... Many of the "gifts" can be "duplicated" by Satan... So, they aren't proof of salvation... This is an excellent video !
I have the holy spirit and it does allow you to be most holy if your walking in God. I find if I sin it's out of choice not a desire, the holy spirit eliminates that desire to do sinful things, but that doesn't mean you will make holy choices. Knowing you have the up most power to walk with God is above all holy.

@@LIFEWITHWILLAM_ Salvation is a process just as physical impregnation to birth is a process. Jesus Himself used this comparison when talking to Nicodemus in John ch.3. Many believers have experienced the presence of the Lord and been filled with the Holy Spirit but to be " born of the Spirit" which is to have the permanent indwelling they must complete the process. What they lack is the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Which is to be filled to overflowing with the Holy Spirit. A believer must pray for the Lord to fill them with the Holy Spirit until He does. Then they must surrender/yield the body's " most unruly member" until He enables them to speak in the spiritual language called " tongues". This will cause the overflowing filling and the permanent indwelling of the Holy Spirit. Now the spiritual rebirth process is complete. I know because it happened for me and millions of others. Complete the process! Go find a Pentecostal church they will pray with you!
The fruits of the Spirit are all what was told n also the gift of tongues ... But it is not only tongues as some stress n try to confuse and beguile many. It's so sad😭 That some spiritual people try to define Holy spirit only to the gift of tongues... What then is implied in acts chptr 2 and 4 “ and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost and begin to speak with tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance” and verse 38 states that to be saved you have to receive the gift of the Holy Ghost, and be baptized in the name of Jesus. John 3 and 5 says unless you are born again of the water and of the spirit, you shall not enter into the kingdom of god, that came from the very mouth of JESUS!! When A baby is born, he cries. Therefore, we were born again of the spirit, you cry.This cry is shown through the speaking of tongues.

Amen! There are only nine gifts of the Spirit! There are other gifts but they are not one of the nine spiritual gifts. Service is a gift, but not a spiritual gift. Apostles, prophets and evangelists are gifts, but not a spiritual gifts. They are offices in the church. The problem is that people try to make fruits of the spirit into spiritual gifts, abilities and talents into spiritual gifts when they are not. All of this is done to deny the need for the true gifts God offers the church

The book of Acts which is the book of Grace, the beginning of the Great Commission, the beginning of the church, The manifestation of the power of God, the unification of the church the body of believers. In Acts 2:4, talk about the disciples being filled with the spirit giving utterance speaking in others tongue. The whole chapter 2, talk about the coming of the HOLY SPIRIT. Acts 10: 44-46, they heard them speak with tongues, and magnifying GOD. Acts 19: 6 they spoke in tongues and prophesied. Tongues is evidence that GOD Power and SPIRIT or in you. Read John the fourth chapter the 23rd and 24th verse. We must be baptized in the SPIRIT, look at John 3:3-7 verses. Tongues is also a gift that must be received by FAITH, exercise by the Believer's. We must remember to Live by THE WORD OF ALMIGHTY GOD. Paul, talk about prophesied edify the church, but tongues, build up The believers, look at Jude 20-21. Even Peter got some things wrong and Paul had to set him straight, as the Holy Ghost was within Paul to help Peter.......Peter humbled himself and I'm sure talked with the Holy Ghost to understand the discernment inside of him.
What is the reason that we can perform miraculous power in the name of Jesus? Repented yet not having any spiritual experience is because you repented doctrinally and you did not surely repent before God. You must repent that you tried to live on your own without God, and you must realize and confess that you cannot live on your own. Then God will give you the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Spirit will testify with uncountable gifts and power. What humans absolutely lack are things like the truth and the power of the Holy Spirit. These things are not ideological power but practical experiences. The power does not stay in Christians’ individual bodies but through their bodies, it moves to others, and appear as signs and work as wonders. It is unhappy that these wonders do not appear in Christian churches because modern churches do not fulfill their duties. However, for them who truly turned their way to God, these signs as testimony are universal and Jesus Christ is the same now and before. For them who intend to live on their own God has blocked His ears and closed His eyes. Yet for them who intend to live with the will of God and obey the truth, God will be with them. I know I have the Holy Spirit in me because I feel so much conviction on how to live my life and I have allowed the Holy Spirit to help me to believe that Jesus is lord and that he has forgiven me for all my sins and that Jesus died on the cross

I went to a pentecostal church and many people spoke in tongues. I never have but when I looked upon them I could could tell they were slain in the spirit. These same people were the most kind genuine people you’d ever meet in your life. One Sunday when I wasn’t there a girl started speaking in tongues after prayer request. The preacher told the congregation that they had a problem. The preacher through the gift of discernment knew she was speaking in unholy tongues. She was demonically possessed and apparently had contracted these possessions at a youth camp where they were casting out demons. From what the other people at the church said her voice was deeper then a mans . She was extremely strong and her eyes were different. They spent four hours into the afternoon casting out demons until she was back again. I know this , god is real and Satan is real.

May the Lord bless you immensely for sharing the TRUTH! I grew up in the Pentecostal religion which is overly obsessed with the OUTWARD sign of speaking in tongues. And they go so far as to tell people they “don’t have” the Holy Spirit if they don’t speak in tongues. This is absolute foolishness and a lie from the pit of hell. However, God is faithful. When I got saved He told me to focus my attention on the FRUIT of the Spirit, not the GIFTS of the Spirit. He also allowed me to see that there are countless people operating in spiritual gifts, but their hearts couldn’t be further from Him because their is no fruit of the Spirit. For all of those who dare to label and discourage people who don’t speak in tongues, my question is: What good is “speaking in tongues” if you LIVE like a hellion? I’ve seen some of the most “tongue speaking”, dancing, falling out on the ground folks in church. They put on a 3 ringed circus during Sunday service only to continue living for the devil the rest of the week. Fornication. Drunkenness. Revelry/partying. Gossiping. Cheating on taxes. Lying. Adultery. Oh-but they “speak in tongues” so they definitely have the Holy Spirit... NOT SO! To all of the babes in Christ who may read some of these foolish comments, don’t be discouraged! Seek the Lord! Speaking in tongues is a GIFT and if the Lord wants you to have it, He will give it to you. If not, focus on the fruit of the Spirit. The change in your heart. The change in your speech. The change in your mind. The change in your behavior. Your desire to please God and live right. I am filled with the spirit, I speak in tongues and have control over it, I've been slain in the spirit more than 20 time probably, I've had spiritual laughter. And I'm not mentally ill, demon possessed, or making this up. The power of Hod works within me and I wouldn't trade it for anything. Most people who preach against this just haven't had these encounters themselves with God so they think it's false. Wrong. Pray that you get revelation on this and watch God move!

I just got baptized yesterday. I havent been in my scripture much and or having to do anything with the Lord. I was being lukewarm and today i have yet to feel the holy spirit. I dont know why and im just hear for answers.
Do you know who Bill Gates is? Are you friends with him? Just because we know of Jesus doesn't automatically make us his friend. You need to spend time with him and call on him and listen to him. To have a true relationship with anybody we need to at least speak with them once in a while. The more time we spend alone with the Lord, the closer we get with him. No need to read a huge passage and study for hours. If you do great, but the quality of time is more important than the quantity.
The second a person is saved, born again, becoming a child of God, The Holy Spirit enters that person. The Holy Spirit Never leaves that person who has been born again. There is only one God, God the Father, God the Son... Jesus Christ, God the Holy Spirit. The Great Trinity.
I don't see anything in scripture that would show that the out pouring of the Holy Spirit is any different today than it was in the first century. Mark 16 says that these signs WILL accompany those who believe..........they will speak in new tongues. I haven't found anything saying that was just for the first century church.
The initial sign of being filled with the Holy Spirit is speaking in tongues. This is true from the Day of Pentecost onto Cornelius's house and all the way to today. AFTER the life changing experience of being filled with the Holy Spirit comes the fruit of The Spirit. The cart cant go before the horse, the Chickens gotta come before the egg.
The miraculous ability of speaking in tongues is not happening today. In fact there are NO miracles happening today. I can read the purpose of miracles in the first century.....what would be the purpose of them today? And the Holy Spirit is not miraculously indwelling in anybody.
Speaking in tongue was a special gift to the apostles when they were baptized in Holy Spirit on Pentecost and the men they prayed and put their hands on them. When these men and the apostles were dead, no one could give this power to anyone else; and no one is still alive today who was given this power by an apostle. Therefore, the gift of tongue speaking is not available today.

I have believing friends that speak in tongues although I don't. But all of us have asked for and received God's Holy Spirit by faith!! Everyone that receives The Holy Ghost WILL speak in tongues, that is how you know The Holy Ghost has come in. Every time someone in the book of Acts received The Holy ghost, it was evidenced by The Speaking in that unknown tongue. Jesus said to Nicodemus in St. John 3rd chapter. Nicodemus was not quite understanding how to be reborn again, and He wasn't understanding The Holy Ghost. and Jesus gave him an example in chapter 3 and verse 8 He says " The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of The Spirit." you see you cannot see the wind, but you can feel it and hear '"THE SOUND'" of it, so is it when one is born of The Spirit, you cannot see IT , but you can feel it and you can hear "THE SOUND" of IT! for when it comes it utters sounds of the heavenly tongues out of your mouth, and you can feel IT as well because it will cause you to move. as a matter of fact it moved the Apostles as well as the other 108 people in that upper room, it moved them in such a way that the people in Jerusalem thought they were drunk of some kind of new wine! Yes, I do agree with you , if one is falling on the ground like in a seizure, that person has a devil, and its ready to come out. You will see some do this BEFORE, The Holy Ghost enters, because The Spirit of God will not dwell in an unclean temple, meaning your body. The Scripture says , Know ye not that your body is the Temple of The Hoy Ghost! So yes you will see people doing some crazy stuff before The Holy Ghost enters, because the demons got to come out. Remember when Jesus was casting those demons out of that boy, the demons rended that boy then they came out. But The gift of tongues that Paul talked about in 1Corinthians 12: 10 is not given to every one. That is one of the gifts of The Spirit. God IS ALL POWERFULL! So much so that there were 120 people in that upper room and He was able to Speak through them all of them at one time and all those people of different languages that had come to Jerusalem for Pentecost, were all so astonished because They all heard them speak in their own language. So God had literally allowed every man to HEAR those 120 saints in their own tongues even though they were speaking in a heavenly language! Now that was a MIRACLE! Oh what a Mighty God we serve! oh yeah and those first saints were Jews, they spoke Hebrew or Aramaic, The Words you should be looking for a better understanding are those languages, not greek. I think you missed the part of Acts where it said all the non-believers thought they were drunk because a handful of gallileans were speaking languages from all over the world - places they had never been to nor languages they had ever learned. Therefore any given person could not tell if the dozen other languages being spoken were real words or just gibberish. Peter corrects them and says in fact that they are not drunk. You will also note, of course, that people there *understood* what was being spoken in their language. This was not one language being spoken that is not understood by man. It was many of the believers speaking in many different languages from around the region. Those from given regions certainly understood those believers that were speaking their language, but didn’t understand the rest of the believers speaking in every other language.
Hi Ryan Johnson. The key verse in that situation was Acts 2:8 "And how hear we EVERY MAN in our own tongue, wherein we were born? " You see the miracle was also in the hearing. They could not of all been speaking in the tongues of the many nations there gathered at Jerusalem. Because it would have been utter confusion. but when these disciples were speaking in tongues, the Arabians understood as if they were speaking Arabic, The Greeks heard greek coming into their ears, the Cyrenians, heard their language. etc. If you walk into a room and there are different nationalities speaking their own tongue, all you would hear is confusion. if someone were speaking English , it would be drowned out by all the other languages that were speaking at the same time. Thus these 120 souls from that upper room were all speaking the one heavenly language , but Yehoshua caused every nation to HEAR their own speech! ISNT THAT JUST AWESOME! hey thanks for replying.
Speaking in tongues is part of having the Holy Spirit. This is why the person that's filled do not understand the things they themselves speak much less the Christians around them. It is a communication between you and God

Not saying speaking in tongues are all fake but people are forced to do it to impress their church family. The word of God says, come out of Babylon my people.

The Quran contradicts with Jesus crucification. That is why they are not saved. If you truly wish to be saved you have to BELIEVE Jesus died for you, BELIEVE that he shed his blood for the remission of your sins and BELIEVE that rose back on the third day for you. THEN ONLY YOU WILL MAKE IT TO HEAVEN. Once you believe this you must do everything in your power to walk according to the Bible. Try not to do things forbidden in the Bible. For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 KJV. As a child of God it is our responsibility not to defile our body with sins like fornication, adultery, watching porn, having lust in our hearts, drugs, smoking, drunkenness, using abusive language. It grieves the spirit of God. When you pray pls also say this. Jesus help me to grow in the spirit, to walk in the spirit and not in my flesh. I reject my flesh and it's desires in the name of Jesus. I belong to God and I will be used by him for his plans ❤️. In Jesus name AMEN . You can feed your spirit to grow when you spend time in prayers, read Bible and worship. Every time you reject your flesh and do what Bible says you are suppose to, you help your spirit to grow. When you obey and do the things the Bible says the annoiting on you will grow and it will reflect to other's. They will be drawn to you because of Jesus's light that will shine on you, then you must try to lead every lost soul to Jesus because Jesus told us to do that and He is very interested in saving the souls. I wonder how many signs wonders and miracles is evident in His life? He is pulling up many convincing scriptures that are way too general. He needs to do study of the "infillinging" and as Jesus did " Walking in the Supernatural" power of God. John Baptised in water but their is one comming that will baptised you in the Holy Spirit and fire! This Baptism would fill them, teach them, comfort them. counsel them etc etc.. This is why the disciples were changed so drasticly, enough that they "Rocked the World" they lived in and we as Deciples and Ministers still doing the same to this day!.. Love ,Joy Peace etc are always a must but there is a deeper infilling with evidence of speaking in an unknown tongue. This is a supernatural experience . Ones that have never experienced or have desired or truly hunger after "more of God " will never relate or experience this Beauty of The Holy Spirit on their life. There is a price to pay and some will counterfeit it and are not willing to pay the price. But those serious hungry searching hearts will understand for they who deeply "Hunger" will be touched and receive God's Miraculous presence of His "Holy Spirit" with evidence of "Heavenly Tongues" and do the works He did. Receiving the Holy Ghost is evidence of speaking in tongues as the spirit gives utterance. You will feel joy, peace, love, kindness, patience, self control, longsuffering, gentleness. The tongues can manifest when singing, under spiritual attack, praying, casting out demons etc.

Once I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, I was filled with patience, kindness, and happiness ! Before then I was irritable, (not too mean , I would always hold my tongue but I would curse people in my head), and I was depressed and constantly dissatisfied!!! That's reassuring. I have a lot of the qualities you described, I'm working on being more patient. When I first met my late husband I was so inpatient, over the years with his help I became patient. I still find myself being inpatient in some areas of my life and that's where I am working to become more patient.

So why did the people in the town think the apostles were drunk when they were filled with the Holy Spirit? ACTS 2. This guy has missed it! When you have never experienced something from God, never use your mouth to say that 'It's just some language that you don't understand...' I agree that the fruit of the Spirit are important but don't shut out and downplay the gifts of the Spirit.
Pray that you get a true understanding of the Holy Ghost/Spirit. Spend an hour with Jesus daily and just repent and call on his name with your whole heart and wait as you call the Lord name. Acts 19: 1-17 You will speak in multiple languages and they will flow like living water. Christian Brother Norbert you wont go to hell if you're being prevented from being baptized. Make sure you're doing it for the right reasons and not because you're scared of hell though. Do it if you love and want to obey Jesus. That should be your number one motive(reason)

But there is the baptism of the Holy Spirit. When u become a Christian and accept Jesus as your savior the Holy Spirit comes to live in you. But there's a second baptism. Which is what u see in Acts 1 and 2. This comes with evidence of speaking in unknown tongues.
This is poor interpretation of the scripture. It is amazing that one can portray such confidence but be completely ignorant of the Word! I cannot be amazed, however, because these things are spiritually discerned!

Don't believe people saying just to gobbledygook jargon, it's just clanging noise to God and confusing other members of the church. Now if the Holy Spirit comes over you and you speak in tongues and someone else speaking in tongues with you, and someone else is Interpreting and Edifying/Educating the church then Hallelujah Praise God! I asked Him recently to show me my sin and He did right away. and I asked Him to show me in what ways it manifests itself and He showed me right away again. There was another time many years ago when I was reading something I knew right away I was guilty of it and I confessed it to God and he cleansed me of it and filled me right away with His Holy spirit again and He started working in my heart again.

Did you know? The Scriptures clearly predicted that the Holy Spirit was only for specific people. Do you have an idea to whom? It was NOT meant for everyone according to the Bible prophecy . People were set part through faith and believing and obeying the gospel of the Kingdom before the NT writings even existed. They were saved that way. No human blood sacrifice needed either. The change began in my life when I made studying scripture a daily discipline. God's Word is what makes the change. When we pray we are speaking, but when you read you are listening to God speak. I've met so many people who crave the need to speak on tongues but their life's are a mess. The fruits of the Spirit are clear as the pastor mentioned. Let's focus on those first before desiring to speak in tongues. Otherwise we are looking for the experience instead of simply believing in God and his sovereignty.

Cesar I agree with you. God's Words are alive and inspired by the Holy Ghost. I was told by God to get as much as I can inside of me so the Holy Spirit can retrieve them when needed. God has given me the Gift of Healing and as He is preparing me for my Calling, reading His Words are very important. We need to renew our minds, daily, by reading His Words.

If a brother is not letting the word speaks for itself then the ones who have greater knowledge should help him. As the word says, as iron sharpens iron so one man sharpens another. I hear alot of talks about speaking in tongues but if you don't love all the speaking in tongues will be in vain. I rather prophesie rather than speaking in tongues.

I completely agree with the two other commenters. I too have experience this and they are right it is a mind blowing experience. It’s to know Christ’s LOVE, which a four dimensional experience. Meaning that time becomes lifted from you. You understand at the core that you are eternal as the the Holy Spirit now takes residence. You feel Him every where you go. Although, I didn’t receive the Holy Spirit as the other two had in the same fashion. I received by totally doing an open heart search for Him. If you search for God, meaning seek everything you can to know that He is true. He then will reveal Himself to you!! You will understand immediately the depth of what Paul is really trying to convey in the whole book of Ephesians. Some scripture can only be interpreted by the Holy Spirit. It’s the solid food Paul refers to. However I can reiterate enough...search, drive 300 miles if you have too. You will find Him!! I leave you with this. God Loves you more than you can imagine! Search for him. You will find Him!! In fact it’s the most common way you can. It’s referenced in the Old Testament like Jeremiah 29 all the way even into the book of Revelation chapter 3. Look at the church of Laodicea. In fact that church period which is now, appears that searching for God is now the only way to find Him because you can’t find Him at church anymore. Except for a few out there. Which are the types the other two commented over.

I believe demons can speak in their type of speaking in tongues. Always a counterfeit tongue compared to Christ followers speaking. Shanna Marie, there is a difference in The gift of tongues and The Initial evidence of speaking in tongues when The Holy Ghost comes in. Everyone that receives The Holy Ghost WILL speak in tongues, that is how you know The Holy Ghost has come in.
Every time someone in the book of Acts received The Holy ghost, it was evidenced by The Speaking in that unknown tongue. Jesus said to Nicodemus in St. John 3rd chapter. Nicodemus was not quite understanding how to be reborn again, and He wasn't understanding The Holy Ghost.
Jesus gave him an example in chapter 3 and verse 8 He says " The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of The Spirit." you see you cannot see the wind, but you can feel it and hear '"THE SOUND'" of it, so is it when one is born of The Spirit, you cannot see IT , but you can feel it and you can hear "THE SOUND" of IT! for when it comes it utters sounds of the heavenly tongues out of your mouth, and you can feel IT as well because it will cause you to move. as a matter of fact it moved the Apostles as well as the other 108 people in that upper room, it moved them in such a way that the people in Jerusalem thought they were drunk of some kind of new wine!
But The gift of tongues that Paul talked about in 1Corinthians 12: 10 is not given to every one. That is one of the nine gifts of The Spirit. yes I agree with you too many people do TRY to put an harness on The Spirit and God's Power.
God IS ALL POWERFULL! So much so that there were 120 people in that upper room and He was able to Speak through them all of them at one time, and all those people of different languages that had come to Jerusalem for Pentecost, were all so astonished because They all heard them speak in their own language. So God had literally allowed every man to HEAR those 120 saints in their own tongues even though they were speaking in a heavenly language! Now that was a MIRACLE! Oh what a Mighty God we serve!
Paul clearly taught the churches in Corinthians and Ephesians that different people have different gifts, and not everyone has the gift of tounges or any other single gift but love.

When I was in youth group in my church we learn about Jesus and his teaching. Our pastor ask us do we want to receive Christ. I was one of the Youth that said Yes. We had classes on the teaching . Than I was water baptize in the name of the father , Son and Holy Spirit. The later is the Holy spirit that I receive before emerge in the water . There no baptism in the Holy Spirit apart from water baptism. You receive the Holy spirit when you first believe Jesus died for you to take away your sins. Thank you so much on this vidoe . I have been questioning whether I have the holy spirit or not within me. I've watched so many preachers especially on VTN that say you will speak in tongues and heal the sick and all of that if the holy spirit is within you. So i have felt like I'm coming short somehow not doing something right or maybe my faith isnt as strong as I thought maybe there is some doubt that is hidden somewhere that I need to find before the holy spirit can live within me. They are confusing the fruits of the Spirit and the gifts of the Spirit. This is really common. In Joel 2:28 I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; KJV John 14:17 but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. KJV Acts 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit was giving them utterance. Notice all. Joel 2:28 was fulfilled in Acts 2:16 but this is what was spoken of through the prophet Joel: Acts 2:38-39 Proves that speaking in tongues is for every believer. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 For the promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off, as many as the Lord our God will call to Himself." When God stops calling people to himself then the gift ends. At one point in time the Apostles thought that The Baptism in the Holy Ghost was only for Israel or many would say for Jews only. Many teach today that it was only for a select group of people. And most add way back then to that statement. However Acts 10 Shows it was for everyone. Acts 10:44-48 While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who were listening to the message. 45 All the circumcised believers who came with Peter were amazed, because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles also. 46 For they were hearing them speaking with tongues and exalting God. Then Peter answered, 47 "Surely no one can refuse the water for these to be baptized who have received the Holy Spirit just as we did, can he?" They knew that they were filled because they heard them speak with tongues. Why because that was the sign God gave on the day of Pentecost. So lets move to 30 years after the day of Pentecost . Acts 19:2 He said to them, "Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?" And they said to him, "No. They were believer yet without the holy Ghost 30 years after Pentecost. Act 19:5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. 6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they began speaking with tongues and prophesying. It is so clear in the scriptures yet people have an agenda against the way God said it comes.
1 Cor 14:18 I thank God, I speak in tongues more than you all. This scripture shows that the whole Corinthian church spoke in tongues. They all did it but Paul did it more often All of the Apostles churches did because they all had the same doctrine. Ephesians 5:18 be filled with the Spirit was written to a church that spoke in tongues, not to a half covenant people that only take part of the promises of the kingdom of God.
So the question may be fairly asked do all speak with tongues? The context of the verse is Do all speak with tongues do all interpret? There is a spiritual gift for the churches edification, which is one of the 9 spiritual gifts because it is tied to interpretation. The gift of the Holy Spirit is different. It does not require interpretation and it is for personal edification. The cases in Acts prove this otherwise every person that spoke would have to have someone with the gift of interpretation. Didn't happen.
The benefit of speaking in tongues is: your spirit prays to God for things you don't know how to pray for. You build yourself up in the Holy Ghost. You receive power. It opens the door for the operation of many other gifts of the spirit.
My challenge to you is this. Find a church that prays in tongues for an hour before Sunday service begins. Go to the members and ask them if they would ever give up speaking in tongues. Then ask them a simple question. Why?
I have seen so many miracles, deaf people hear, those who have legs with one shorter than the other and watched them grow to the same length. In July we went with 260 people to Nicaragua and in 1 week documented 13000 salvation's and so many miracles. I live in Bible days and see the same things they saw back then. There is so much more in Jesus why not receive it?
Amen. You speak truth. All the Letters or (churches) in the New Testament were filled with the Holy Ghost evident by speaking in new tongues (Mark 16:17). Many make the mistake of confusing the Gift of tongues for edification in the church setting (which not all have) to the baptism of the Holy Spirit (which ALL should have) who truly believe.

I hope this gives some clarity. If an individual prays in tongues they pray to God. The edify themselves, build themselves up in the Holy Spirit. If the entire church is speaking in tongues then the entire church is edified on an individual basis. One by one. Church edification on a corporate basis comes through the gift of tongues. Instead of being a prayer to God it is a God speaking through someone to the church. So one would stand up while the rest of the church listens. The essence is that it is a prophecy in another language to the congregation. When a tongues like this comes we are instructed in the bible to pray for an interpretation. The tongues language can be human or angelic. Since it is intended to be interpreted. Paul in Scripture says let it be by two or three and if there is not an interpretation then those giving the tongues need to stop. You can't have one person speaking while everyone waits for an hour with no interpretation. The reason it is allowed to happen three times is to give opportunity. The person who hasthe interpretation may not be yielding or fearful of stepping out. God wants us to grow in the gifts. You can't grow if there is no opportunity to practice.

I have the holy spirit and it does allow you to be most holy if your walking in God. I find if I sin it's out of choice not a desire, the holy spirit eliminates that desire to do sinful things, but that doesn't mean you will make holy choices. Knowing you have the up most power to walk with God is above all holy.

Many believers have experienced the presence of the Lord and been filled with the Holy Spirit but to be " born of the Spirit" which is to have the permanent indwelling they must complete the process. What they lack is the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
Which is to be filled to overflowing with the Holy Spirit. A believer must pray for the Lord to fill them with the Holy Spirit until He does. Then they must surrender/yield the body's " most unruly member" until He enables them to speak in the spiritual language called " tongues". This will cause the overflowing filling and the permanent indwelling of the Holy Spirit. Now the spiritual rebirth process is complete. I know because it happened for me and millions of others.

Amen! There are only nine gifts of the Spirit! There are other gifts but they are not one of the nine spiritual gifts. Service is a gift, but not a spiritual gift. Apostles, prophets and evangelists are gifts, but not a spiritual gifts. They are offices in the church. The problem is that people try to make fruits of the spirit into spiritual gifts, abilities and talents into spiritual gifts when they are not. All of this is done to deny the need for the true gifts God offers the church

The book of Acts which is the book of Grace, the beginning of the Great Commission, the beginning of the church, The manifestation of the power of God, the unification of the church the body of believers. In Acts 2:4, talk about the disciples being filled with the spirit giving utterance speaking in others tongue. The whole chapter 2, talk about the coming of the HOLY SPIRIT. Repented yet not having any spiritual experience is because you repented doctrinally and you did not surely repent before God.
You must repent that you tried to live on your own without God, and you must realize and confess that you cannot live on your own.
Then God will give you the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Spirit will testify with uncountable gifts and power.
What humans absolutely lack are things like the truth and the power of the Holy Spirit.
These things are not ideological power but practical experiences.
The power does not stay in Christians’ individual bodies but through their bodies, it moves to others, and appear as signs and work as wonders.
It is unhappy that these wonders do not appear in Christian churches because modern churches do not fulfill their duties.
However, for them who truly turned their way to God, these signs as testimony are universal and Jesus Christ is the same now and before.
For them who intend to live on their own God has blocked His ears and closed His eyes.
Yet for them who intend to live with the will of God and obey the truth, God will be with them. Therefore, mercy and compassion of the One who did not spare His only Son shall appear as the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

I went to a pentecostal church and many people spoke in tongues. I never have but when I looked upon them I could could tell they were slain in the spirit. These same people were the most kind genuine people you’d ever meet in your life. One Sunday when I wasn’t there a girl started speaking in tongues after prayer request. The preacher told the congregation that they had a problem. The preacher through the gift of discernment knew she was speaking in unholy tongues. She was demonically possessed and apparently had contracted these possessions at a youth camp where they were casting out demons. From what the other people at the church said her voice was deeper then a mans . She was extremely strong and her eyes were different. They spent four hours into the afternoon casting out demons until she was back again. I know this , god is real and Satan is real.
Not one person can define the holy spirit that has filled YOU you yourself know it is the relationship between your heart and God's word

I grew up in the Pentecostal religion which is overly obsessed with the OUTWARD sign of speaking in tongues. And they go so far as to tell people they “don’t have” the Holy Spirit if they don’t speak in tongues. This is absolute foolishness and a lie from the pit of hell.
However, God is faithful. When I got saved He told me to focus my attention on the FRUIT of the Spirit, not the GIFTS of the Spirit. He also allowed me to see that there are countless people operating in spiritual gifts, but their hearts couldn’t be further from Him because their is no fruit of the Spirit.
For all of those who dare to label and discourage people who don’t speak in tongues, my question is: What good is “speaking in tongues” if you LIVE like a hellion? I’ve seen some of the most “tongue speaking”, dancing, falling out on the ground folks in church. They put on a 3 ringed circus during Sunday service only to continue living for the devil the rest of the week. Fornication. Drunkenness. Revelry/partying. Gossiping. Cheating on taxes. Lying. Adultery. Oh-but they “speak in tongues” so they definitely have the Holy Spirit...

To all of the babes in Christ who may read some of these foolish comments, don’t be discouraged! Seek the Lord! Speaking in tongues is a GIFT and if the Lord wants you to have it, He will give it to you. If not, focus on the fruit of the Spirit. The change in your heart. The change in your speech. The change in your mind. The change in your behavior. Your desire to please God and live right. THIS (and only this) is how you know for sure the Spirit of God lives within you.

I am filled with the spirit, I speak in tongues and have control over it, I've been slain in the spirit more than 20 time probably, I've had spiritual laughter. And I'm not mentally ill, demon possessed, or making this up. The power of Hod works within me and I wouldn't trade it for anything. Most people who preach against this just haven't had these encounters themselves with God so they think it's false. Wrong. Pray that you get revelation on this and watch God move!

I doubt very much that evolution in other planets means that those races look like humans, in atmospheres and geology that is different to earth. The holy Spirit, has Spirit in it.
I just got baptized yesterday. I havent been in my scripture much and or having to do anything with the Lord. I was being lukewarm and today i have yet to feel the holy spirit. I dont know why and im just hear for answers.
Do you know who Bill Gates is? Are you friends with him? Just because we know of Jesus doesn't automatically make us his friend. You need to spend time with him and call on him and listen to him. To have a true relationship with anybody we need to at least speak with them once in a while. The more time we spend alone with the Lord, the closer we get with him. No need to read a huge passage and study for hours. If you do great, but the quality of time is more important than the quantity.
The second a person is saved, born again, becoming a child of God, The Holy Spirit enters that person. The Holy Spirit Never leaves that person who has been born again. There is only one God, God the Father, God the Son... Jesus Christ, God the Holy Spirit. The Great Trinity.

I don't see anything in scripture that would show that the out pouring of the Holy Spirit is any different today than it was in the first century. Mark 16 says that these signs WILL accompany those who believe..........they will speak in new tongues. I haven't found anything saying that was just for the first century church.

The initial sign of being filled with the Holy Spirit is speaking in tongues. This is true from the Day of Pentecost onto Cornelius's house and all the way to today. AFTER the life changing experience of being filled with the Holy Spirit comes the fruit of The Spirit. The cart cant go before the horse, the Chickens gotta come before the egg.
The miraculous ability of speaking in tongues is not happening today. In fact there are NO miracles happening today. I can read the purpose of miracles in the first century.....what would be the purpose of them today?
And the Holy Spirit is not miraculously indwelling in anybody.

Speaking in tongue was a special gift to the apostles when they were baptized in Holy Spirit on Pentecost and the men they prayed and put their hands on them. When these men and the apostles were dead, no one could give this power to anyone else; and no one is still alive today who was given this power by an apostle. Therefore, the gift of tongue speaking is not available today.
+Oken Toy , not true. Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever, and as such, the ALL the gifts of the Spirit are available for God the Father to give to His children. I have believing friends that speak in tongues although I don't. But all of us have asked for and received God's Holy Spirit by faith!! There's nothing in the New Testament that says the gifts of the Spirit are no longer available to God's children.

Everyone that receives The Holy Ghost WILL speak in tongues, that is how you know The Holy Ghost has come in. Yes, I do agree with you , if one is falling on the ground like in a seizure, that person has a devil, and its ready to come out. You will see some do this BEFORE, The Holy Ghost enters, because The Spirit of God will not dwell in an unclean temple, meaning your body. The Scripture says , Know ye not that your body is the Temple of The Hoy Ghost! So yes you will see people doing some crazy stuff before The Holy Ghost enters, because the demons got to come out. Remember when Jesus was casting those demons out of that boy, the demons rended that boy then they came out. But The gift of tongues that Paul talked about in 1Corinthians 12: 10 is not given to every one. That is one of the gifts of The Spirit. God IS ALL POWERFULL! So much so that there were 120 people in that upper room and He was able to Speak through them all of them at one time and all those people of different languages that had come to Jerusalem for Pentecost, were all so astonished because They all heard them speak in their own language. So God had literally allowed every man to HEAR those 120 saints in their own tongues even though they were speaking in a heavenly language! Now that was a MIRACLE! Oh what a Mighty God we serve! oh yeah and those first saints were Jews, they spoke Hebrew or Aramaic, The Words you should be looking for a better understanding are those languages, not greek. I think you missed the part of Acts where it said all the non-believers thought they were drunk because a handful of gallileans were speaking languages from all over the world - places they had never been to nor languages they had ever learned. Therefore any given person could not tell if the dozen other languages being spoken were real words or just gibberish. Peter corrects them and says in fact that they are not drunk.
You will also note, of course, that people there *understood* what was being spoken in their language. This was not one language being spoken that is not understood by man. It was many of the believers speaking in many different languages from around the region. Those from given regions certainly understood those believers that were speaking their language, but didn’t understand the rest of the believers speaking in every other language.
Hi Ryan Johnson. The key verse in that situation was Acts 2:8 "And how hear we EVERY MAN in our own tongue, wherein we were born? " You see the miracle was also in the hearing. They could not of all been speaking in the tongues of the many nations there gathered at Jerusalem. Because it would have been utter confusion. but when these disciples were speaking in tongues, the Arabians understood as if they were speaking Arabic, The Greeks heard greek coming into their ears, the Cyrenians, heard their language. etc. If you walk into a room and there are different nationalities speaking their own tongue, all you would hear is confusion. if someone were speaking English , it would be drowned out by all the other languages that were speaking at the same time. Thus these 120 souls from that upper room were all speaking the one heavenly language , but Yehoshua caused every nation to HEAR their own speech! ISNT THAT JUST AWESOME! hey thanks for replying.
Speaking in tongues is part of having the Holy Spirit. This is why the person that's filled do not understand the things they themselves speak much less the Christians around them. It is a communication between you and God
Keith Wilson it's only communication if both parties understand each other. Alot of time you don't understand what you're saying is because it's nonsense and not of God. Not saying speaking in tongues are all fake but people are forced to do it to impress their church family. The word of God says, come out of Babylon my people.

When you pray pls also say this. Jesus help me to grow in the spirit, to walk in the spirit and not in my flesh. I reject my flesh and it's desires in the name of Jesus. I belong to God and I will be used by him for his plans ❤️. In Jesus name AMEN . You can feed your spirit to grow when you spend time in prayers, read Bible and worship. Every time you reject your flesh and do what Bible says you are suppose to, you help your spirit to grow. When you obey and do the things the Bible says the annoiting on you will grow and it will reflect to other's. They will be drawn to you because of Jesus's light that will shine on you, then you must try to lead every lost soul to Jesus because Jesus told us to do that and He is very interested in saving the souls. I wonder how many signs wonders and miracles is evident in His life? He is pulling up many convincing scriptures that are way too general. He needs to do study of the "infillinging" and as Jesus did " Walking in the Supernatural" power of God. John Baptised in water but their is one comming that will baptised you in the Holy Spirit and fire! This Baptism would fill them, teach them, comfort them. counsel them etc etc.. This is why the disciples were changed so drasticly, enough that they "Rocked the World" they lived in and we as Deciples and Ministers still doing the same to this day!.. Love ,Joy Peace etc are always a must but there is a deeper infilling with evidence of speaking in an unknown tongue. This is a supernatural experience . Ones that have never experienced or have desired or truly hunger after "more of God " will never relate or experience this Beauty of The Holy Spirit on their life. There is a price to pay and some will counterfeit it and are not willing to pay the price. But those serious hungry searching hearts will understand for they who deeply "Hunger" will be touched and receive God's Miraculous presence of His "Holy Spirit" with evidence of "Heavenly Tongues" and do the works He did. Receiving the Holy Ghost is evidence of speaking in tongues as the spirit gives utterance. You will feel joy, peace, love, kindness, patience, self control, longsuffering, gentleness. The tongues can manifest when singing, under spiritual attack, praying, casting out demons etc.

The Church started in the Book of Acts, and all books after that was written to the Church, and the last book is the final account of the ages including the eternal destiny of God's children.
These people are running away from the TRUTH, We need to be obedient to the COMMANDMENTS OF THE LORD and the very initial one of them all is to be BORN AGAIN of the Water and Spirit (John 3:5) which is fulfilled literally in Acts 2:38. It's very simple, people need to be BORN AGAIN or they cannot see the kingdom of God, period. You can trust Gods Word. Here is where you can know that you have received the Holy Spirit because it is promised to everyone the way is the same for everyone. Once I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, I was filled with patience, kindness, and happiness ! Before then I was irritable, (not too mean , I would always hold my tongue but I would curse people in my head), and I was depressed and constantly dissatisfied!!! I am so thankful for all the blessings that I didn’t even pay attention too before . This is how I know the Holy Spirit is in me . 💖 I can’t wait to literally meet my Maker 💖

That's reassuring. I have a lot of the qualities you described, I'm working on being more patient. When I first met my late husband I was so inpatient, over the years with his help I became patient. I still find myself being inpatient in some areas of my life and that's where I am working to become more patient.

So why did the people in the town think the apostles were drunk when they were filled with the Holy Spirit? ACTS 2. This guy has missed it! When you have never experienced something from God, never use your mouth to say that 'It's just some language that you don't understand...' I agree that the fruit of the Spirit are important but don't shut out and downplay the gifts of the Spirit.
Pray that you get a true understanding of the Holy Ghost/Spirit. Spend an hour with Jesus daily and just repent and call on his name with your whole heart and wait as you call the Lord name. Acts 19: 1-17 You will speak in multiple languages and they will flow like living water. Read the word unless you're born of the water you can't see the Kingdom of heaven and unless you've been born of the Spirit you can't enter the kingdom of heaven.

Christian Brother Norbert you wont go to hell if you're being prevented from being baptized. Make sure you're doing it for the right reasons and not because you're scared of hell though. Do it if you love and want to obey Jesus. That should be your number one motive(reason)

The Holy Spirit went through me at a teen mass when I was 18, it was the most loving, peaceful whoosh and only lasted a couple of seconds but I will never forget it. Worthy is the Lamb.
My heart has been flooded with the Holy Spirit in an awesome way but I still can’t speak in tongues. Ive known wonderful pastors that do not have the gift of tongues. Everyone doesn’t get the same gifts of the spirit
I don’t see the fruits of the spirit in me. So even if I trust and have faith in Christ to save my soul, why am I not different? Why don’t I have the Holy Spirit? Why is God silent? Why do I feel cast out? Even tho The Lord promised not to cast anyone away?

If you sincerely asked GOD to forgive you for all your SINS then conversion happens you born again you will know GOD has given you of HIS SPIRIT AS A GUARANTEED, and you slowly after rebirth sinful things will start to drop off because you learning from GODS WORD what HE don't like out of your reverence AND HOLY SPIRIT IS HELPING YOU to know better. But there is the baptism of the Holy Spirit. When u become a Christian and accept Jesus as your savior the Holy Spirit comes to live in you. But there's a second baptism. Which is what u see in Acts 1 and 2. This comes with evidence of speaking in unknown tongues.
This is poor interpretation of the scripture. It is amazing that one can portray such confidence but be completely ignorant of the Word! I cannot be amazed, however, because these things are spiritually discerned!

Speaking in tongues is THE EVIDENCE of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. If you don't speak in tongues then you don't have IT !
1 Corinthians 14:27-29 If any man speak in an unknown tongue, Let It Be by Two, or at the most by three, and that buy course; and let one "Interpret". But if there be no "interpreter", "let him keep silent in the church"; and let him speak to himself, and to God. So this just tells me straight from my King James Bible that all these churches that I've been to, where they're yelling out in tongues and nobody ever knows what they're saying is wrong in the eyes of God. Not to speak in tongues unless someone interprets and to edifie the church. Go by the Bible God's holy Inspired Word. Don't believe people saying just to gobbledygook jargon, it's just clanging noise to God and confusing other members of the church. If you don't understand what you're saying and no one's interpreting you're opening yourself for unclean spirits! Now if the Holy Spirit comes over you and you speak in tongues and someone else speaking in tongues with you, and someone else is Interpreting and Edifying/Educating the church then Hallelujah Praise God! [[But if not keep silent))! I've seen edifying of the church personally when I was a young boy at PACE Assembly of God in Santa Rosa County Florida a woman in a church of 3000 congregation spoke over everyone as they became silent she spoke loudly in a beautiful tongue no one understood when she was finished; another person stood up and interpreted what she said it was amazing! And a lot of other times that people are speaking in tongues and no one knows what's going on the Bible teaches us not to do this.
