And that feels exhausting to log onto the game like a job to do check-ins instead of logging on because you actually want to play. And/or they add meaningless trivial expiration dates to items so you're forced to use it or lose it, so you cant build up to use stuff on your own schedule you need to rush it to the randomly chosen expiration date of the item😅😅😅

I wanted to highlight some of the major features that can be discouraging for new players like me (the ones that almost made me quit early on), as well as the positives that kept me going without doom posting. if in reg server, it's free but for hyperion - it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that around 60% -70% of the top players just buy service (hiring someone to play on the account to grind/etc. 24/7)

The only real bad patterns are when they overlap like crazy due to latency/funny business. Xlotus doing 3 pattern simultaneously or Kalos boss lag into 3 shit at once, etc.
For the legion grid, I'd prob prioritize Crit Damage, Boss Damage, and IED. Rest, I'd pump into Crit Rate. I would put more into Crit rate and less into IED if I have a Bishop in the party, as they provide tons of IED already. I hope this helped! :)
I chose reboot because I know I have an addiction problem and will go into debt by buying cubes on regular server. With mesos I know for sure the only thing I am losing is time spent and not money spent.
I mean I get it but I think gms needs to work more on their events end of things. Like ride or die isn't good or fun. I think they should've play tested it a lot more. It's not fun when kazax spams Damien fire balls that have 0 I frames and kills you in 2 hits while being charmed by HT cause you couldn't burst the boss's hands fast enough.
I started playing in MS from 2008 to 2012, stopped at big bang. finally recovered 1 of my accounts, other one is lost. Game is still nostalgic and cool to finally come back and hit level 200+. But its just way too grindy and time consuming for me. Came back originally to level up and see what cool old "nx" items i had. But just too much too keep up with.
GMS has struggled with player retention for EVER and I am not surprised why. Things are getting better though (hopefully) for new players. However, MapleStory will always be a hardcore grind game at its core so yeah...

And i missed out on my Tera burn and other burn coupon to make 2 other alts. That woulda gave me some more fun. I just log on to do my daily bosses . Maybe i just need to find a class i enjoy more lol
I went to reboot when it first came out but ultimately just went back to reg servers. I felt I was having to split too much of my time to farming mesos on a Kanna then progressing and not being able to transfer gear between characters was the nail in the coffin after getting so much stuff I couldn't use on my main or couldn't even give to an alt.

Listening to player feedback LMAO. All we got is NOT getting deleted, NOT get meso change and a darknell fight that revers, knock u up and throw debris at you in dark ride. Dont forget Grandis familiars that literally troll you almost intentionally. You're coping very hard, GMS is dead and tram GMS are incapable of making any good improvements.
I can't disagree that I do have a lot of hopium for this game as the potential for it to be really good is there. It still seems to me that we are moving in the right direction, as shown with the new Showcase NEXT from KMS. Hopefully, GMS is able to adapt and bring some changes that will benefit all of us (like the familiar card revamp for example) :> Ty for your comment!!

I agree 100% but maple being an MMO RPG was something like 15 years ago when your roles in the boss fight and in the grinding party actually mattered.... it lost its identity through the years due to greed.

I explored the major features that would turn off a new player such as myself (which are the ones that almost made me quit).. and the positives! While it is not explicitly said in the video that I was almost going to quit, it was left for the viewer to interpret it as such and it was not my intention to trick people. Instead was left with something that was mostly just a high level overview of the game. In general I think that if the title poses a question and the viewer watches the whole video and comes away feeling like the question isnt answered, there is a problem.

100% can understand that. I wish we could transfer basic stuff other than consumables to mules. It would make the experience much much much more fun.
