Wow. I am blown away. The fact that I was able to find this piece has really astounded me. There was a young Korean elementary school band that performed this, and someone told me the name of the piece. Fantastic piece of work.
Came from there too. But this recording is not as high scale and "ocean like" as their performance. What do I mean Ocean like? The recording gave such a grand feel like the atlantic ocean. This recording just sounds like it's only supposed to be a march. But in general, I like the piece ALOT!
we played this my freshmen year of highschool and now we are playing it again my senior year i just love this song soooooo much :) it is by far my favorite song i have ever played
I understand that people borrow other ideas from other people, and try to make it their own and better, and also that that is what makes civilization grow. However, what Reineke did here is an extreme copy, when many of the form and sections are from Summon the Heroes; it is even in the same key! Not only is this it, but this was a piece written as a tribute for 9/11. The people who suffered deserve a lot more than this exploitation of a tragedy ripped off from a well known piece.
This piece and Summon the Heroes may sound the same in many parts, but they're also very much different. There are parts that differ in a way that sets them apart. They're certainly not the exact same.
@sciencmath every newer composers learn from older masters, and add in their own style and stuff, perhaps trying new things, that is how music evolve. try to listen to star wars theme then listen to Gustav Holst's Mars. you will understand.
This song is the ripped off version of John Williams' Summon the Heroes. Im sorry but the whole ending and beginning is totally copied and manipulated so that this composer can say it was his. PEOPLE, I advise you to see the "legit" version of this song
