Fascinating visually. Complete stumpers abound. The difference between "sha" and "sha?" I'll never know. I've played it over and over. The five variations on weird-looking double b's? Naming letters starting with eleven consonants? I appreciate your willingness to teach. Think this may all be quite beyond me.
i found a video called "How To Read Russian In 9 Minutes (Seriously)" it really helped me understand the sound difference between a few similar sounding letters. i recommend watching it.
How's it going brother? Been learning Russian for half a year with duolingo. Very helpful. I just thought about looking up the alphabet. No need to memorize it though. All your points stand but you can learn. I'll be back if I find the video that got me started. The lady was an excellent teacher.
I'm doing better, just have to repeat lessons over and over until I've got it right. The consonant combinations in Russian are insane. It's like what I'd expect to hear if someone was falling down drunk and had a mouth full of marbles. (Drinking does NOT help with my pronunciation.) Been checking out Real Russian Club here on RUclips. Have to be patient and dedicated. I do find it cool to examine Cyrillic text and easily recognize some words, so that keeps me motivated. Thanks, man!
And what are the vowels?😮 And what about the consonants?🤔 Can you please put'em separated from each other? I can't do it by myself. However, i can notice them more clearly when they're working as syllables: "па, пэ, пи, по, пу." Counsidence, we have in spanish "pa, pe, pi, po, pu." All the spanish vowels are "a, e, i, o, u."😅
When people decided to denote sounds with symbols, the alphabet was born. The Russians did it well. But not in the case of the English or German, and especially the French alphabet, where the same letters sound differently or one sound is indicated by two or even three symbols. An absurdity implicated in the stubbornness of “Aryan superiority”
Й would be closer sounding to ee, it's hard to explain as it's a prolongation with a short cutoff of и Ь is a symbol for a softening of the syllable, not a standalone sound. Ъ is a symbol for the hardening/ firming of a syllable, not a standalone sound.
It's a different sound from и but it's more a modified version of it rather than a standalone letter. The same goes for the symbols ь and ъ. They are assignments to syllables rather than individual-sounding letters.
@@G4MM3RF3L1PE so ь and ъ are called soft signs and hard signs respectively (can also call them symbols), think of them as an apostrophe, like making a break in the word or separating syllables..like in names like D'Lisa or Jack O'Brian..we stop awhile before pronouncing the rest, but without apostrophe it would sound weird. For ь it indicates the consonant must be pronounced softer ,same for ъ but the consonant is stressed or pronounced hard. I know it sounds a bit complicated you can completely understand this once you learn about syllables, vowels and their pairs along with how they sound.I would recommend learning grammar along with alphabets for effective learning.

й is pronounced like 'y' in 'boy'..its basically soft и .. where и is pronounced as 'ee' in 'meet'.
ь doesn't have a sound ,its more like a symbol.
