- The only thing greater than this group of skier's desire to claim a first ski descent on Greenland's second highest peak is the size of their carbon footprint to get there. Loaded with guilt, they decide to bring along renowned glaciologist, Alun Hubbard, who’s scientific hypothesis, if proven, could rewrite popular projections of global sea-level rise. However, the entire expedition is put in question when they arrive in Greenland and discover their objective is beyond the range of all available aircraft. Shot on location in Greenland

I have a guilty conscience too! Send me on the next trip!!
Great film again from Salomon...what an awesome dude Alun Hubbard seems!
I didn't know I had to go see the greenland ice sheet until this movie.
Top technical work all round, and educational to boot. cheers
you can't spell conscience without science. mind blown
Awesome! Loved that this had more BTS/banter and the science was great too!
This is not just another ski film. This is real life. Love it!

Nice movie - lived in Tasiilaq from 2003-2009, and did an expedition to Mont Forel in 2004. It is even greater than shows in the movie. By the way - skiing on the Ammassalik Island whereabouts Tasiilaq lies is amazing

Well, we either destroy the planet, or we cherish it. You choose.
29:06 what is the point of analyzation of this specific ice?
Awww Salomon c'mon........... I'm supposed to be working here :-)

I can't understand blaming dogs for pooping I mean what are these people just save their poop for their trip back
Its a science wound. hahah
What a great film... That place looks amazing... I hope we have some big and positive moves towards climate change asap
So... why are previous ice-melts better than the current one? Doesn’t it show that it’s happened before?
The climate has been always changing. The planet warming up since the end of the last ice age.
Great adventure & Great Story!
how do i get ahold of those salomon hats???
Hm, I can't think of a better reason why the sled dogs were pooping an ruining your "experience". Perhaps because they haven't been allowed and have had space to do their business before having to work. Certainly one dog with diarhea everywhere on his/her butt should be a concern, if not for you guys who are being carried, than the musher.
Track ID 24:50 please?

I'm an archive researcher working on a Discovery Channel docu-series (yet to air) called Secrets in the Ice. The show looks at what is being revealed as the ice melts and permafrost thaws.
One of our episodes focuses on The Mummy of George Mallory and if he was the first to climb everest . We are interested in using your footage in the episode to help tell this story. Please let me know if this is possible. Thank you
This is such a beautiful video!
Great Trip! I would love to see that gearlist tho :D
Brilliant!
Awsm
Wonderful project and a very important one. We all take advantage of carbon and we are all guilty of consuming probably too much. Thank you for making this film, an incredible film, a must see and share.
Awesome work! Don't ski myself but I appreciate all the amazing views and natural beauty of the landscape you guys captured perfectly
Great job guys!
you could do a annual 'update-Trip' to the same location and check the glaciers
that way the ones of us who can't travel there can still witness it
alternatively, pls link the continuing research of Alun Hubbard :D
so nice to see gansta rap culture spreading to the far reaches of the earth
That's irony right? Please tell me that's irony...
Phenomenal scenery and filming. It's not always the destination but the journey.
Unbelievable ! Such a great piece of sience and art from a brilliant crew! Still its not cool whats happening with the greenland icecap!
"I have faith in science". I almost spit out my coffee. lol
wow, really a crazy trip! love how you filmed it and how much you enjoy it 😊👍
My favorite line..."as if Alaska and Patagonia had a baby"!

This was absolutely FANTASTIC. Glaciology is an incredible science, and combining it with ski mountaineering.... what could be more rad!!??
yawn zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
“Super unique”? Where’s our camp writer!!
the mountains look like a well marbled wagyu steak
How is the mountain spelled that they climbed on the edge of the ice sheet?
Fantastic!
What are those glasses that Alun is wearing in the first half with the side shields?!?
Imagine only 100 people think about their ecological footprint, because of pictures this great it was all worth it.
Where can I send my application form?

Good movie
Excellent.
Awesome
Well done!
Whenever I see documentaries on places that have not been visited before, I'm worried about the tourism it will trigger from the naturally littering careless and heartless ape species that has infected this poor planet. The comments I read here confirm this worry.
Nice vid minus the “global warming” tree hugger. Climate change is just that, change. It comes in cycles. But I doubt this guy refers to science...
and trump said.
