Nice movie - lived in Tasiilaq from 2003-2009, and did an expedition to Mont Forel in 2004. It is even greater than shows in the movie. By the way - skiing on the Ammassalik Island whereabouts Tasiilaq lies is amazing
Wonderful project and a very important one. We all take advantage of carbon and we are all guilty of consuming probably too much. Thank you for making this film, an incredible film, a must see and share.
you could do a annual 'update-Trip' to the same location and check the glaciers that way the ones of us who can't travel there can still witness it alternatively, pls link the continuing research of Alun Hubbard :D
I'm an archive researcher working on a Discovery Channel docu-series (yet to air) called Secrets in the Ice. The show looks at what is being revealed as the ice melts and permafrost thaws. One of our episodes focuses on The Mummy of George Mallory and if he was the first to climb everest . We are interested in using your footage in the episode to help tell this story. Please let me know if this is possible. Thank you
Whenever I see documentaries on places that have not been visited before, I'm worried about the tourism it will trigger from the naturally littering careless and heartless ape species that has infected this poor planet. The comments I read here confirm this worry.
Please check out new song, 'Keep It Wild', with previously unreleased photos of La Grave and find out how we can protect this unique and incredible place thanks to Signal de La Grave's crowdfunding initiative. Thank you! Ben ruclips.net/video/AfsBWUTDzEs/видео.html
Hm, I can't think of a better reason why the sled dogs were pooping an ruining your "experience". Perhaps because they haven't been allowed and have had space to do their business before having to work. Certainly one dog with diarhea everywhere on his/her butt should be a concern, if not for you guys who are being carried, than the musher.
This is not just another ski film. This is real life. Love it!
shopkins
Great film again from Salomon...what an awesome dude Alun Hubbard seems!
Awesome! Loved that this had more BTS/banter and the science was great too!
Top technical work all round, and educational to boot. cheers
Phenomenal scenery and filming. It's not always the destination but the journey.

My favorite line..."as if Alaska and Patagonia had a baby"!
the hat Chris has on at 1:14. I need one..
So... why are previous ice-melts better than the current one? Doesn’t it show that it’s happened before?
Well, we either destroy the planet, or we cherish it. You choose.
Awww Salomon c'mon........... I'm supposed to be working here :-)
Malcolm Howe my essay seems to have taken an unscheduled break

The climate has been always changing. The planet warming up since the end of the last ice age.

I Believe It Goes Up And It Goes Down
Nice vid minus the “global warming” tree hugger. Climate change is just that, change. It comes in cycles. But I doubt this guy refers to science...
