- Here is a quick video I put together with my iPhone 5 since I don't bring my real camera to work, please forgive me for the shakiness I just wanted to get some quick shots to showcase these awesome new winglets.
United and Alaska Airlines where the first two customers to order and have these winglets installed on their 737-800 aircrafts. This video shows aircraft N586AS which was the first in the Alaska fleet to be retro-fitted with them.

Great Video Jay, you & your iPhone 5 did a great job. I haven't herd of the Split Scimitar Winglets yet so glad you posted it.
Yeah it comes in handy some times, Yeah they're fairly new so you're certainly not the only one!
Awesome! I love those new winglets
Great close-up view of these scimitars, and always nice to see ramp ops! Excellent video quality also! Liked:)

Ah, I saw this at Kahului Airport recently, nice shots btw :)
Thanks I appreciate it!
That really is upclose footage. Love those Scimitar Winglets!! Nicely filmed footage and also fantastic audio. Liked alot!! Subbed.
Thanks!!!!
You are welcome. Greetings from CPH :-)
Cheers!
i flew on N586AS almost 2 years from PDX to Kona
I am jealous, what a video. Great job thanks for sharing. :-)
Thanks a lot! Not a problem.
The winglets do look cool, but I much prefer the 737 MAX's winglets over these ones. It just looks like they attached a tiny wing to the bottom of the winglet and added small spikes! It just looks a teensy bit... well, crude. I digress however, this is an awesome video! Thank you for sharing!
Elliot Legos, Ferries, And MO! there the same winglets just the 737 max need discharch cords because its more likey to get struck by lightning
It looks that way because that's exactly what they did, lol!
nice and thats for , what? 1/2%?/ but it does add up
With the cost of everything these days, this may seem like nothing but does a lot for the company in fuel savings
Mets747
yeah the economies of scale
