1:20 networking is one of the basic concepts which you must learn at the start of devops even when I started my devops journey I started with networking and LINUX administration, how web server works? , git workflows, automation with bash and shell scripting, having a strong foundation with python and golang (I am pretty much active in cloud native space)
1: How The Networking and Routing Works? 2: What are Ports? 3: How will you troubleshoot a slow running Linux machine? 4: What is a Firewall? What is a Stateless and State-full firewall? 5: What are web servers? 6: What is DNS, What are the DNS Records?
I am giving multiple interview these days, and I observed that if you are very good with Networking, VPC, Security groups, DNS and Load Balancing then you already conquered the Interview 50 %... rest is just tools that you can play with
I am learning from Past three Years, I Clear AWS SAA, SAP & DevOps Engineer Professional Certifications also, My Certificates are near to Expire but still i am learning DevOps. Your Videos help me really sir. Thank uh so much.
@@jashvadgama8731you don’t need any guidance from someone else brother, just watch this channel tutorial watch some random tutorials for roadmap and then start learning those tools from somewhere else. 🎉
Hi Rahul , I'm a devops Engineer and this video is so apt I take interviews and some are not Abe to answer basic questions like what is roll out and what is roll back ,loadbalancing types but they are very good in tools and which exactly rises the concern I keep telling not to give importance on learning tools and rather understand the buisness scenarios .I would request to create a small 3 tier aws project with deva and test env on aws please explain how to stop and start server when there is version upgrade or roll back .
Hi Rahul , Thanks for making this video , it really helps a lot. I would request you to make a video on what all the things one should know to become Devops engineer. It’ll really help people like me who is having experience in AWS could and wants to become Devops engineer. Thank you.
I have been into IT for past 6 years and learning devops since past 2 years ,it takes a lot of patience and curiosities to thoroughly learn devops tools. I would say you can't become a devops straight out of college. Work on cloud then step by step dive into cicd and keep on learning.
Hey Rahul thanks for the explanations for these questions, one request is can you take up more interview questions like a scenario based and make a series pls as it really helps.
An excerpt from that thread I found surprising & disappointing : I've been (unsuccessfully) trying to hire in/near London for a while now, and generally this is what I see from 90% of applications: ~Indian name ~Exactly the same resume format (like, EXACTLY), only the order is reversed ~Usually around 4 years experience mark ~Grocery list of every single Linux and DevOps technology under the hood ~Experience is usually listed as either WITCH-like companies or some big companies like Verizon etc but when HR talks to them, they were contracted through a WITCH company Now, when I talk to them, one of these scenarios happen: ~Candidate doesn't know anything and can't answer basic questions about technologies they supposedly worked on for 4 years ~Candidate pretends there are technical difficulties with their camera or screen sharing or internet ~Candidate is absolutely amazing and I'd hire them right away. We hired one like this. Literally a different person showed up to work... (funny in hindsight but WTF moment when that happened) We've started comparing screenshots from the HR video interview and my video interview and usually if the candidate is amazing, it's a different person to the one talking to HR
Hi sir Rahul, please for your honest opinion, do you think someone with a very low education background and have no knowledge of tech could learn devops and master it ?
@@RahulWagh Thank you for your reply! Appreciating your teaching skills and your dedication. I'm want to learn how to set up a complete local CI/CD pipeline, using only free, local resources like GitLab, Jenkins, and Kubernetes. I want to avoid any cloud or paid services.
I think nothing in cloud is for freshers. most companies are living in AI zone where they have started to believe most junior level work could be done with AI tools. so expect a lot from juniors or freshers. Let's suppose one answers most of these questions, if not all.. do you think he/she will get selected? Not really, and than this reedit post would have been about lack of practical understanding. All they want a superman. btw if possible can you talk about, How do we show cloud projects in CV and github? Also how to explain these cloud/devops projects in interviews when asked.
You know what if you build a GitHub projects and make it open source with proper documentation you get rewards in terms of GitHub star which you can easily show case in resume
Hey i come across to your channel and like to tell you that you explains very well though i have given some DevOps interviews it was for 2-3+ exp candidates and i'm a fresher ; employer have asked me real time based scenario questions like how you have worked on premises , manage clusters etc and i have always end up with disappointment not getting any opportunity please suggest me some advice for this DevOps root sir it'll be really helpful!

I agree, it is all about basics. I never go on asking cloud specific questions in interviews I always stick with the basics

infrastructure cost is too high for devops
Agree. Devops requires a lot of knowledge. Atleast 2 years before become devops I think with Developer or System Engineer role xD
It’s true you need to be developer or system engineer before you jump to be a devops engineer
Hi sir, following you from long time, please post fresher interview questions on aws devops
Thanks
I will try my best to
Sir make more videos on fresher in devops it very helpful and inspiring us sir thank you 👍
I will be preparing more in upcoming weeks

@RahulWagh thank you so much eagerly waiting for such contents!
hi rahul devops is not good for beginners as it has lot of deployment cycles need more exp guys
It requires a lot of practice and experience to be a devops engineer
I'm a fresher and I know all the concepts and answers cuz i worked on it
Practice will make you more perfect
Even me xD
