    It's my belief that Jim and Dwight thought up Lloyd Gross while they were eating their desserts in bed together and was the moment they officially went from enemies to friends.

    • @henrypeters5291
      @henrypeters5291 11 месяцев назад +12

      I like the theory. But keep in mind, Dwight was not planning to stay in Scranton. At this point, his goal was still the VP position. And they did not officially become friends until after Jim saved Dwight from bein fired.

    • @slaybomb96
      @slaybomb96 10 месяцев назад +4

      Yeah Dwight was always chasing higher management. They also used to go on sales calls all the time and Jim also was really nice to Dwight when Angela was dating Andy. There was always a friendship there and there wasn't a defining moment where it changed.

    • @henrypeters5291
      @henrypeters5291 10 месяцев назад +1

      @@slaybomb96 I would not go that far. I do not think Jim considered Dwight his friend until after he saved him from Roy. And Dwight definitely did not consider Jim his friend until after Jim stopped Dwight from getting fired.

      @slaybomb96 10 месяцев назад +2

      @@henrypeters5291 you aren't listening to what I am commenting. Their "friendship" was always there it just took time for it to mature. Both Pam and Jim worried about Dwight when he was playing the flute by the dumpster. They also stayed at Schrute Farms for their first night out together and Jim checked in on him then. Even Dwight's speech even though it was a "prank" we saw Jim actually showing some empathy and compassion for Dwight for an early episode example.

    • @henrypeters5291
      @henrypeters5291 10 месяцев назад

      @@slaybomb96 Sorry, it is just that what you just said contradicts the last sentence of your original comment. There friendship did change at certain moments throughout the show. Also, prior to season 8, after Angela and Dwight broke up was the nicest Jim and Pam were to him the entire series.

    Lol at calling out Gabe for doing something illegal. That was one of the funniest bits of this episode.

    Also... (one more here)... in that deleted scene, Darryl demonstrates some serious bro code by throwing Jim a rope with the line [something like] "so it's a whole bunch of people up there together, right?" kind of a dope slap for Jim, just in case he was drunk or being stupid.

  • @patrickcarney13
    @patrickcarney13 8 месяцев назад +4

    I appreciated Jim's integrity here.... buuuuttttttttt how much credit can we really give him? There's a damn cameraman in the room with them. Most likely a human being that knows his wife personally. A hidden camera or cameraman hiding in the bushes outside would have been more interesting.... KEVIN!!

    To answer your question, I think the difference between Kevin and Lynn and Michael and Holly with Darryl and Val, is that like Jim and Pam, Darryl and Val already had a good friendship. So I think Jim's advice would be only go for it, if you are ready. Because remember, after Pam rejected Jim in season 2, he ran away to Stamford.

    While Pam was with Roy, she was emotionally cheating on him with Jim and he was all for it. It wouldn't have been a stretch for him to emotionally cheat with another woman at the very least.

    I read online that Kathy just got out of an abusive relationship, which (while not justifying her trying to make a move on Jim) made me feel sorry for her. I always wonder what a conversation between Pam and Kathy would've been like after this episode.

      That sounds like odd fanfic, tbh.
      An audience can't and won't assume a whole backstory for a character's behavior if there's zero reason to think it in the first place.

    I like Daryll and Pam but just stealing some girlfriend is not a good thing. And yes it is a different case with Pam & Jim.
    The boyfriend was a little bit rude. But still Daryll was trying to steal his girlfriend. And Daryll is also her boss at the same time.

    This was a slog. I hate all the characters, stakes and logic are completely absent. Why is "mind you own business?" and "that's literally a crime" just not an acceptable response to anything in this world? At least Frank Grime and Todd called out the lead characters for their crap.
    I'd rather read a book than watch the stupid show at this point.
