    Does the shoulder bolt just go in to the existing hole in the b pillar? No need to tap the hole with threads or weld in a plate nut for strength?

    What company is this that manufactures the 3 point seat belt? Can it be installed on 1955-1959 Ford, Mercury, Edsel, and Lincolns?

    • @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV
      @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV  6 лет назад

      Wr're sure there is a company out there that will do retro-fit kits for Merc, Ford and Lincoln, but we have these made for us specifically for Chevy & GMC trucks by a private vendor.

    • @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV
      @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV  7 лет назад

      On the Drivers side in the 67-72 Suburban models there is a mounting boss in the B pillar for a shoulder belt. The passenger side does not have a mount because of the need to "walk through" to the rear seat.

    What size drill bit? Do I drill the hole slightly smaller?

    • @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV
      @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV  2 года назад

      You need a drill bit just slightly larger than the bolts you are using.

    How does this application work in a 1967 c20? There isn't a should strap bolt hole?

    • @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV
      @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV  6 лет назад

      If your truck doesn't have the shoulder strap hole then you would create one and drop an anchor in to support the bolt. That is how it's done when installing this kit in earlier trucks too. It's a little more work, but results are the same!

    • @zayvier69
      @zayvier69 5 лет назад

      What kind of anchor?

    • @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV
      @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV  7 лет назад

      We routinely use the original lap belt mounting positions. If your truck doesn't have those, then you'll need to drill holes in the floorpan where you'd like the inner/outer belts to mount. If you have any additional questions, please call our customer service guys at 800-977-2767.

    Did I miss something? How’d they get the hole in the b pillar? How’s the bolt stay in the b pillar? Most other ways of doing this have a bracket plate on the inside . How’s this one work? Should’ve started the video from scratch

      The "B" Pillar on the '67 and up trucks already has a threaded mounting point for 3 point belts. This kit uses that factory position to attach the upper strap. Early trucks that don't have the factory mount do require the installation of a threaded support plate.

      @@BROTHERSTruckPartsTV OK - I have a truck that had the 3-point belts but the threaded support plate is missing. Where can I order those?

      @@StubbTx Call our shop and check with the guys in Customer Service, maybe they can order just the plates separately. Otherwise, call the Truck Stop in Fullerton CA, they will have what you need (714-870-7920).
