Great video! I agree that the one from LMC kinda blows. I had to fool around with this to get it close but now the retractor is blocking the seat from sliding all the way back. Now I know how to fix that thanks to you! Keep square-body truckin’!
Great video! Just put mine in watching your video. Started with the passenger side and reversed the 2 pieces on the belt. On mine, I already had the 3 point top piece so I was able to re-use the bolt and not have the molding issue. Very helpful.
Thank you for this...was driving me nuts having so many extra bolts. My truck had different threads anyways so had to re-use the factory bolts. But the L bracket positioning was great. Cheers
Excellent video. I was wondering how to get these installed. My truck had shoulder belts but the “PDSO” cut the shoulder belts off using just the lap belt (death wish I guess). Now I know how to install them. Thanks!
No problem. After I posted this video. LMC actually made a video. Here is the link. Take my knowledge and his instructions and make your own judgment call on install. www.lmctruck.com/product-videos/kevin-tetz-how-to/3-point-retractable-seatbelt-install-video
I just remembered I need to order a tap to install mine in my 82. Got the reel out, but I can't get the bolt out for the clip half of the belts out. Ruined a brand new torx bit trying to get said bolt out.
Best tutorial I've found hands down. Do you happen to know the dimensions of the L bracket? I know they're 3/16" tick with 5/8" hole but what are the lengths and the width?
Great video, I've ordered a couple seat belts and none of them line up for my "84" which I am now stuck trying to figure out what year this damn cab even is
Good info ty ... what about the drivers side seatbelt mine has a wire going to it will it be needed on the new set not too sure what it’s for any thoughts
Yup, I just used what was included. The washer is actually for the floor to spread the load out but this was the only way I could get my belts to work properly
I agree that the LMC kit is horrible. So were the directions and customer service. They essentially told me to just read the directions and I told them the directions were terrible and unspecific.
Tried to install my LMC belts today and spent an hour cussing and throwing tools. So glad I found your video!!! So helpful!!!!
Great video! Thanks for your very helpful information- this saved me several hours.
Glad I could help
You are a lifesaver. I looked at all these peices and thought WTF. I'm gonna go outside now and get it done.
Ok, I recommend watching the lmc video too and do whats best. They have some good info too. Glad I could help.

Glad I could help. That makes me happy.
Thanks for sharing! I watched your video and successfully got my replacement belts in with no hassle!
Glad I could help
Thanks. This video was a huge help. Have been struggling to figure out the pieces to make it work properly.

Very helpful.
Thx for the post. Just got the LMC seat belts today and thought, well thanks for the instructions guys.
No problem. Lmc Now has a video out with the proper way to do it so I would check it out too. I made this because lmc didn't have a video.
Thanks dude!!!!!
You’re 100
It’s so frustrating with some of the fabs required
To rebuild one of these thanks for your support to the culture 😜

Awosme ! I also had to reuse the top bolt due to different threads on the new bolts.
You got a bad ass truck

Wish I found this video earlier. Spent almost a whole day trying to figure this out

Haha the comment about the twist. Sub’d!
Nice. Thanks!
Nice video
thank you for this
Good info ty ... what about the drivers side seatbelt mine has a wire going to it will it be needed on the new set not too sure what it’s for any thoughts
Same process. The wire may be the seatbelt chime. Not sure what to do with that.
It’s definitely for the seatbelt buzzer. I cut mine off because I don’t want that thing bothering me, haha
Nice video, why is the washer so big? I can use a smaller one I’m sure?
Yup, I just used what was included. The washer is actually for the floor to spread the load out but this was the only way I could get my belts to work properly
@@RobRealistic ok, thanks for the video. I’m installing some today.
This video maybe 2 years old but yes the Lmc seat belt kit instructions are complete garbage. Thanks for the info
Thanks
I was getting ready to have a fit until I watched this video.
Glad I could help.
I appreciate how much you hate the twist also
Lol. Drives me crazy!
Thanks! Bought these seatbelts for my 87 pickup and was confused on how they went in there.
Same! Great video!
How are they holding up?
@JonnyBlazeTCB I mean, I haven't exactly "tested" them if you know what I mean but they are still good as new.
@RobRealistic I want to order a set, but no way in hell I'm paying the $40 for shipping they are trying to charge me.
@JonnyBlazeTCB buy 1k worth of stuff and shipping is free.
@RobRealistic they told me $2500. 😂😂😂😂😂
I agree that the LMC kit is horrible. So were the directions and customer service. They essentially told me to just read the directions and I told them the directions were terrible and unspecific.
Are they sold in a pair?
No, 59.99 each
@@RobRealistic damn ! i wish i'd got them that cheap. mine was 87 bucks each. smh
