And now, it feels like that again but only now we got all the newer next-gen amazing games to dive into...and ff7 remake is coming out soon along with so many other amazing games in April
It’s been said many times before, but I’ll say it again. The PlayStation Access team are all amazing in their own ways and I feel bad Rob sometimes gets the most recognition. But, you really are an exceptional writer and put into words the internets shared love of video games in such an eloquent way. We all appreciate the years of features you have made and the amount of creative energy and love that has been poured into each one. Hands down, these videos are my favorite on RUclips.

I played through Flower recently with my son, and we both had a fun time playing it. We both went through the wide range of emotions that game puts you through. After finishing it I just kinda sat there for a bit as he ran off to play and realized that game so simple had somehow touched my heart so deeply and I had a good cry. Flower is all about life and connecting with others and even though things get scary and dark the sun still rises and everything that is broken can be fixed again. I'm still surprised by how deep Flower is despite its simplicity.
Idk if i would agree with "exploring" skellige per se as that can in fact remove the serene music when you accidentally find a harpy lair or the like, but "experiencing" skellige and just letting it wash over you? That i can get behind. It really is supremely beautiful.
When I first arrived and took Roach up to Kaer Trolde I slowly took it all in, letting the serene music wash over me. Just one of the many amazing and unforgettable moments I have from that game.

This is easily the most wholesome thing on RUclips. Thanks guys! You hit some real amazing ones. Grim, Dear Esther are great. What Remains of Edith Finch, Oxenfree and Observation I would like to give a shout out too. Can we do the opposite? Games to stress you out during this time just to mix it up a bit?
Abzu is fantastically calming. It's always on my console as an anti depressant and just something to calm down and play. Also I literally spent the entire time just saying "oh it's so pretty"
I discovered the Glass Masquerade games this week - basically beautiful stained glass window jigsaw puzzles with lovely chilled music. Thoroughly recommend.
I was just having unbearable diarrhea and then I put this video on to play in the background and Rob’s voice honestly was so relaxing it actually helped ease the pain I was feeling. Thanks Rob ❤️
I played Concrete Genie for the first time last week to help with my state being quarantined and it truly is a game to just sit and chill out to. I highly recommend it in times like this.
Got my wife into Final Fantasy finally because of the jobs closing and people working from home. She loves FFX so far. Also she's one shot almost every boss...so that blew me away.
FFX and OHKO bosses? In the beginning of the game? Nah. Maybe after getting Yojimbo with Zanmato. But absolutely can see her getting "Overkill" on them.
Thank you, Rob! We need your wonderful voice, humor, and spirit during this time. Escape, including video games, matters for our mental health right now. Please keep Friday Features and Tuesday Checklists going right now. They mean a lot to all of us.
I have to thank you guys for this video. I'm going through a very stressful time in my life and I've never played any of these games so i just bought them all now and just playing Flower really helped, this video is gonna help me out thanks for the suggestions

After all, the electric towers introduced late in the game can singe off some of your petals if you touch them, making your train of colorful petals slightly less beautiful as it wafts across the sky!
I felt like Abzu's story was completely pointless. To be fair, I was expecting Journey levels of insight and emotion. Disappointment was inevitable. It has some cool scenes, but that's about it.
Hey Rob. Thanks for the video. Stay safe! Also, really appreciate the comment about shark not being a mindless predator. Keep up the good work and stay healthy.
This will be the last time we see Rob in a video this year, as he will dedicate this year to getting the platinum for both Persona 5 and Persona 5 Royal.
Well granted P5 Royals trophies are way easier than the base game. No more of those annoying nes type games to have to go through. You can almost platinum it in one playthrough. Though the my palace thing has plenty of stuff to do

Great Feature, but I would like to formally challenge you to do a list of games, from across 4 generations of Playstation, that you've never talked about before. "7 Criminally overlooked games we've never put in a Friday Feature" or something like that? That would be amazing!
I would add The First Tree, Rime, Fe and, mainly, Journey. I know you mentioned it, but it's probably my favourite game of the decade, so it's definately worth a shot. Other than that, pretty good list! Chill games are my favourite genre, and they are marvelous for times like this.
This is oddly perfect for today. In the middle of this crisis and today at 10am, I got fired from my job (in the games industry, incidentally) because the company I was working on cancelled the project I was assigned to. If there is a day when I need to calm down and relax, it is today. Thank you, guys, for putting a smile on my face after the roughest day of 2020 so far.
Literally EVERY Elder Scrolls game for me. Doesn't matter if I'm playing Arena or Skyrim, I hardly ever do any quests anymore. I just slowly walk/ride around while the calm, soothing Jeremy Soule music plays in the background.
My recent chillout games were "Eastshade" and "A Short Hike". I'd also recommend "The Witness" for those who like clever puzzle games. I'm on PC though and I'm not sure if any if these are on Playstation too.
I just wanted to say that I really enjoy and appreciate all of the work you all do. Rob, you especially resonate with the kinds of video games that I have loved throughout my life. I'm 36 and cut my gamer teeth on Final Fantasy, and really any JRPG, primarily. You have a way of describing the gaming experience in a way that is typically very difficult to describe. I have often voiced my opinions of games as a way to connect to the deepest, most meaningful parts of ourselves. There have been many times when I've said to myself, "Yes, that's exactly how I feel!" You have the gift of empathy. The gift of mindful connection to the moments you experience. Video games provide an opportunity to nurture these gifts unlike anything else. A point you have well made in previous videos. I'm a mental health therapist with a deep passion for the positive application of video games, so I could talk about this all day haha! Just wanted to say thanks for what you do. It's nice to know that others feel the same about games as I do. Keep up the great work! It is truly meaningful!

For me, Chillout games are turn based RPG's. But since social distancing became a mandatory thing, now I have the time to play the Single Player games. So for a while I'm gonna take my time with Days Gone and replaying Kingdom Hearts 3 with the DLC. I literally got the DLC when it was released, started a new game and a few days later, for some reason I decided to get the Rainbow Six Siege Platinum. Just two trophies away.
This channel during the lock down (UK) has been unreal. Rob and the team are the goats of the gaming journalism world. You're work is masterful and I too am obsessed with MGS! Channel = Masterpiece! Love it!
It may sound weird to some and Rob is going to love this one but I think Death Stranding is quite peaceful. Sure the BT's a and other enemies do get in the way sometimes but when I'm walking or riding the motorbike there's a calm and serene feeling. It feels good in these times or after a day of hard work.
Right now for me it's "Disney's Aladdin & Lion King" on Switch, once I adjusted to the new controls I had both completed in a day, now I can complete each game inside of an hour, I find it therapeutic! Thanks in advance for the suggestions Rob and Friends 💙🐱💙
I recently played RiME and was thinking this was a great chillout game. In the beginning, at least. Once you little by little start to understand what the stages try to say it gets quite nicely more depth.
This is exactly what I needed to watch to end my week. Found out one of my friends has the virus so I cant hang out with him for a while but he's doing well so that's all that matters. One of our favorite games to play is Stardew Valley. You can spend literal hours playing it and it feels like 10 minutes. One thing about Flower that always sticks with me is the trailer set to 'Catch The Wind' by Donovan. It's always been one of my favourite trailers.
This channel during the lock down (UK) has been unreal. Rob and the team are the goats of the gaming journalism world. You're work is masterful and I too am obsessed with MGS! Channel = Masterpiece! Love it!
Flower is super calm until you get to the downed electric lines... that part is so stressful!!!
Listening to Rob speak is what relaxes me!!!
I usually have a hard time understanding British accents, but i swear to god, Rob's way of speaking is so clear it's downright therapeutic.
Bless you, Playstation Access. You have no idea how much I needed that this week.
Man i needed this vid, thank you guys so much for making this and do stay safe
I recently played RiME and was thinking this was a great chillout game. In the beginning, at least. Once you little by little start to understand what the stages try to say it gets quite nicely more depth.
I was going to include Rime, but yeah. If you've played it, you know.
Thanks for keeping everyone happy and occupied during this time, good job 😁👍
Dear Esther reminded me of the last video it featured in. Rob (and the team) remember that we are all here for you if it does get a bit much.
This is a lovely video to find as I first open youtube today. Access team always has something I enjoy.
This is exactly what I needed to watch to end my week. Found out one of my friends has the virus so I cant hang out with him for a while but he's doing well so that's all that matters. One of our favorite games to play is Stardew Valley. You can spend literal hours playing it and it feels like 10 minutes. Very relaxing game to play
Everybody please take the virus seriously and stay safe out there
I'm sorry to hear, hope he gets better soon and hope you keep in contact via chat or the like.
Keep strong you two :)
I'm sorry your friend is ill. I hope his recovery is a smooth one.
GRIS is one of the best games of this past year. The music, the colors, the story; everything is pristine. Can’t wait to see what the devs make next.
That Fez part made me think... What if our memories and hopes for the future are just our soul looking through a 4th dimension, time.
The best channel on RUclips without a doubt, Always cheers me up watching your videos , very relatable and extremely well written as always rob
There is nothing more relaxing than playing Stardew Valley! I completely forget reality whenever I start the game. The music is incredible and everything else, too.
as always, top stuff Rob and hats off to the rest of the team. love to sit down with a cuppa and an access vid to end the day. joyful
Thank you. I’m struggling today and needed this video. I’m going to play Abzū again to chill out my brain. Thanks for the great videos. ❤️
Love Rob getting super close to the mic.... "just....let.....it....taaaaaake….youuuu"
It's like the whole world is forced to take a sick day from school but only the gamers are ready and willing 😂
Rob ASMR is something that I don't expect but now I can't live without.
