I booked a Regal princess in December and bought the packages plus, i 've never been in any Princess cruises before, thank you for you wonderful information. I am ready to go, thank you again.
Thanks! The packages do include the flavored coffees, but sometimes it might be more beneficial just to purchase them out right. Especially if you don't plan on using any of the other options in the package.
I'm thinking like you but im also starting to lean towards getting the cheaper one because I drink 4 to 6 bottles a day of water alone.. and a milk shake or 2 sounds good but I have til the end of February to make my decision. I just keep watching great informational videos like this one to help me make up my mind .. happy cruising to you !
We purchased the Plus package for our next cruise and paid $60 per day. We were told the $60 includes the 18% gratuities and we wouldn't be charged more while using the package. Was this incorrect and has anyone received a bill for the gratuities at the end ot their cruise?
Princess is sneaky with their wording of the plus drink package and the regular plus package. I tried to cover the major difference in the video later on, but may not have conveyed it well, I didn’t want to make the video too long. If you purchase the Princess Plus package the gratuities are included and you will not have to pay anything. Even the typical room steward and restaurant server gratuities are covered. If you purchase the Princess Plus beverage package you will be charged an additional 18% and the other gratuities are also not covered.
It’s one device per package. So if you purchase the plus package, you have access for one device and your wife will also need to purchase the plus package and then she would have access to one device.
That’s a great question! We did a two week cruise that was considered two back to back cruises. The package operated as if we were on two separate cruises. However the package inclusions have changed since we did that, so the rules could have as well. You might want to call your travel advisor or Princess to clarify.
$60 US is $95NZ and we only interested in the drinks. We going from NZ to Australia on a 6 day cruise. Do you know how much a cocktail is on average? Will have no more than 2 a day. Might not be worth having the plus package then.
When we were on the Emerald Princess back in August, the pricing ranged from $12-$15 US for their standard cocktails. If you wanted a cocktail with higher shelf alcohol, those ranged from $16-$20 US. The beer ranged from $9-$11 US.
This was misleading. Initially, I thought he was talking about the Premier and apps Packages being a bad deal. He was talking about the Plus and Premier DRINK PACKAGES. Maybe that’s the fault of Princess for using confusing naming conventions.
Princess is one of my favorite cruise lines. I really enjoy their more relaxed, laid-back feel. They have a few kids on their ships, but not near as many as you would find on Royal Caribbean orCarnival.

Thanks! Princess is one of our favorite cruise lines. Enjoy your vacation and safe travels!
Don't drink enough unless it includes the different flavored coffees. Don't use WiFi while on vacation. Very educational.

The package indeed covers the gratuity on the Plus and Premier package. You don't have to be a heavy drinker to make good use of these packages👍
You mean gratuity just for the package or general crew gratuities ?
@
Both packages cover the daily crew appreciation charge and as well, the grats on all beverages ordered from special coffee to wine👍
Plus package has wi-fi for 1 device. Is that 1 device at a time, or once you sign in 1 device, you can not later switch devices?
It’s one device at a time. I switch back and forth between my phone and my laptop with the Plus package.
Is that one device per person? So with the plus package, does my wife and I each get one device?

Princess Plus is a fantastic deal, I’ve done it twice. Royal won’t compete
We're you charged the 18% gratuities at the end of your cruise?
@@kristieanderson6034 The truth is I don’t think so, I never received a paper statement
Yes it is. If we don’t purchase the Premier package we will always get the plus package. For us, it is definitely worth it.
When you say "per sailing" how does that apply to a 20 day cruise, which is really 2 back to back 10 day cruises? Is that 2 sailings, or 1?

@@take2-travel I guess that i will find out when I get there eh?

Are there a lot of kids on this boats or not at all what have been your perception if you have sailed with Princess ..anyone :) ?

Well said.
Thanks!
Not an adult beverage drinker, so I don't purchase the package nor the soda package. Saves a TON of $$$
the price of the package includes the 18%
Yes, as long as you get the full Princess Plus or Princess Premier packages. The Princess Plus and Premier beverage packages don't include the 18%.
I want them to bring back the coffee package they used to have, I miss that one
Cool boat
