    As a Korean, I remember Son when he was as young as Yang. I was surprised at exceptional shooting ability. That surprise had not been replicated in more than 10 years watching Korean football, but watching Yang made me surprised again. To be honest, I think he seems even more well rounded than Son at the age, being calm and concise, but the downside would be the speed. Son had both shooting and speed, which are two most important traits for an attacker.(plus both feet) Yang doesn't seem to be as quick. This could hold him back from utilizing his shooting skills, since he has to get away from defenders to shoot.

    He's probably the best as well as the most unknown prospect out of Asia. He's that good. Great signing. European teams should be signing up the best Korean and Japanese prospects. It's a money pot untapped. It's frankly ridiculous how underrated these kids are. Even if you sell them back to a K League. J League or a Middle East team even if they don't break into first team, they would be worth the return on investment.

  • @Vince_Paul

    His age means he fits is with the rest of the young players, spurs have signed. Nothing about replacing a player, it’s about building for the future. Having players longer at the club. Plus the resale value in the future for them is going to be much higher.
    It’s the first time in decades that spurs have had a very young team, with the right mix of older players. They have signed young players that can play just as good in a number of positions on the pitch. Young players that just want to play no matter were they play.

    I think K-League is equivalent to EFL level, and at 17, Yang is a very impressive talent. For comparison, imagine if Yang was British, 17yrs old and has 8G and 4A in EFL right now, every big clubs will be chasing after him.

    First and foremost, last season when the first team players were all fit we set off like a house on fire, running away with the first 10 games! I said before the start of last season though, our first team is pretty good but our squad players lack any cohesion. They may be reasonably good players, but never seem to be able to work as a team. I'm hoping with the players you mentioned, plus Devine, Tyrese Hall, Will Lankshear et all will be given the chance to shine in Europe and other Cup competitions. If it were me? I saw Dragosin do wonders in the Euros, but not as backup for VDV. His place is definitely in competition with Romero, so we need another Left Sided defender. Ben Davis has been a great servant for the club, but can he STILL be? I think Spence has started to mature. I'm pleased for him having another chance! For me the biggest expense should go on replacing Kane with an out an out striker. I keep giving Richarlison another chance, but my patience has worn thin with him, seeing as he is injured again! Toney? Perhaps, Jonathan David? No, I would like us to go after Gyokeres!

    The K-League has quite a few similarities with the Premier League than the other four big leagues. Although the level is low. This is because national team leaders and Premier League players such as Park Ji-sung and Son Heung-min have had a tremendous impact on youth.

      @@trex1448 Son is one of the most efficient finishers in the history of football. Yang could be half the finisher Son is and still be an incredible player. But certainly he seems to have quicker feet and seems to be a lot easier for him to manuever past players

    • @trex1448
      @trex1448 2 месяца назад +1

      @@jasonjc2264 Son's arguably the best finisher on counter attack or otherwise attacking lanes and exploiting open spaces. In tight spaces, he just doesn't have the dead ball skills to be effective although he smartly knows how to use teammates in the box in those situations and often creates chances for himself or others. Yang has the potential to be better than Son in this... but he's 18. We'll have to wait and see. I thought Lee Seungwoo, Baek Seungho would be playing in top leagues scoring goals but they both couldn't hack it in Europe although Baek is in Champions League.
