  • We're back with my BA Falcon XR6 Turbo, checking out my V2 custom mount for a Haltech IC-7 dash. Opinions will no doubt be divided, but I absolutely love it. We're also fitting a Michigan Motorsports Reverse Lockout Solenoid Delete kit to the T56 6-Speed gearbox to solve my weird lockout issue. #motoringbox

    I'd personally take it one step further and pull the components out of the IC7 housing and design a pod with integrated housing and 3D print it, I'd probably also find and integrate some OEM style buttons and rewire them to the IC-7 board so it all looks factory.

    There is something quite rewarding about making your own custom part for your pride and joy. Especially when it's a one off that sets your car apart from others. Well done mate! 👍

    Good job Sean, but it looks a little too tall for me. I might change my mind if I saw it first hand.
    I was in SCA the other day looking for a battery for my kids Autocross car. I was just going to get a “home brand” version, but then I thought of you and your sponsor, and grabbed a Century. Does this make you and influencer now?😀

    Love the mod of the ic7. Only thing is if you can get a slightly darker shade of silver or a metallic grey paint for the dash pieces. I think the silver is a bit bright. Just my 2 cents. Cheers !

    Pretty good job there Sean. It's always fiddly but you have it right this time. The height is perfect. I modded a Holden VY/VZ clusterpod onto the top of the dash for a VU ute and with a good deal of thinking, I got it sitting firmly on the dash. Even though it wasn't made for it.

    Do not paint it silver...the light will reflect off your windshield. And become distracting hence why dashes are black to begin with. Drive with a plain A4 sheet of paper on your dash to understand what I mean .

    • @johndouglas1848
      @johndouglas1848 Год назад

    Great video as always Sean, the 2nd iteration of the IC7 mount is much better. 100% the right call to recess it further into the dash. It's not perfect (when is it ever eh?) but I think it looks great! Keep up the good work mate!

  • @mahcooharper9577
    @mahcooharper9577 Год назад

    I reckon if you cut the top bit off the ICC (where the Phillips head screw is) you could get it to sit even lower and then it would look better. You don't need that top bit to hold the ICC, the 4 bolts down low are more than enough to hold it in.
