I haven't dedicated any free time to watching BroodWar or SC2, but it's nice to watch a full match from start to finish. This is the first time I've ever seen 24:49 Flash beaten by someone relatively unknown or new, I guess.
A Marine walks into a bar. He sits down and tells the Bartender "Give me something to shoot." So the Bartender slides a beer his way. The Marine downs the glass in one go and exclaims "Outstanding!" He motions for another beer and the Bartender slides another. Just before the beer can reach the Marine's gauntlet, a Vulture Bike and a Siege Tank crash through the door and the side of the building respectively. Mainly because they can't walk. Much like the Vulture Bike's rider who ungraciously falls off the bike and stumbles towards a seat next to the Marine. Putting a hand on the Marine's pauldron and letting out a hacking booze riddled cackle. The hatch for the Siege Tank opens but nobody comes out. Likely too pregamed to do so. The Marine sighs and puts his gauntleted and beerless hand up to the side of his open visor in disappointment and wearily asks the bartender "How do I get out of this chicken sh** outfit?" To which the Bartender replies "Live for the Swarm!" And the entire bar explodes.
Man kudos for your casts, I really like them. Only one question/ suggestion: why is your ui like this and often doesn't show buildings when selected? Would it be possible to have it the normal way?
The different tabs on the replay ui can be opened and closed as you like, Falcon is optionally opening some tabs and then closing them to let us see as much of the gameplay as possible, obviously he always leaves the mini map open so we can follow troop movements etc.
486DX2 was way too weak to run the Starcraft. It did even have trouble with the Warcraft 2. I had to overclock my then 5x86-133 to 160 MHz to run Brood War comfortably. Dad brought a HP Colorado tape drive with a cassette so that I could install a Windows 95 update along with the Office 97 and some development tools. Then I discovered there's a hidden partition on the tape. Doom, Starcraft, Duke3D, you name it it was there. Who would put that on a tape used in a military data center, I will never know.
spoiler warning... Rich's attack in the middle, zealot bombing and dragging spider-mines into tanks was well done. Flash overreached there and was punished. The counter attacks were effective. Dwindling the tank count was very good. Flash didn't have very effective attack on the other bases.
Is it just me or is Rich really scary? Normally you would be scared for the protoss if terran takes a fourth. Not Rich. I get the same rush I get from top contenders from him, I hope survives the Ro24.
The audio quality only "improves" with time in technical terms as limited by hardware. The choices of the designers are only limited by their talent. In this case, these guys were goats, and BroodWar audio is incredible. It's actually embarrassing how sub-par sound design was in sc2, considering they had so much more to work with, it exposed how much less capable they were.
Yo Falcon Paladin should host a SC LAN party! I would totally be there! Ok for you young’uns out there, LAN is what people used to do before online play became mainstream for games.
17:11 Charon is also one of Pluto's moons. Maybe the thinking was something like 'range so long your missiles can hit Charon'?
Ooh, maybe you're right!
that's the magic of sound, plus this sound design from blizzard is god tier, no need to enhance it further

Ok, Starcraft and I can be brothers. I'm 28.
Eyhhh, #youngboyz
I was 7 years old when it released. And i definitely installed it in December of '98 on my old windows 98 PC
I was 13 when i first played Star Craft. It was indeed a game changer for me!
A marine, a vulture and a siege tank try to step into a bar but the assimilators got destroyed so they decided go home.

Honestly they should be on any military personnel. Strategy war games for war people who need to be strategic? Makes sense to me.
What race do you play falcon? Where on the ladder are you mmr ???
I believe he mains Zerg.
