@@tengoodquestions So the original Human torch was an android named Jim Hammond. Before the company was renamed to “Marvel” the three main heroes were Captain America, Human Torch, and Namor the Submariner. But by the 1950’s the original human torch was pretty much forgotten, and Stan Lee and Jack Kirby reinvented the character for the 1960’s with Johnny Storm of the F4. But since the F4 was deleted in this reality, it makes sense we can bring in the OG to the Ultimates roster. Makes me wonder if Namor will also be on the Ultimates or if he will be on the Maker’s council. I could see either way.
I think actually the coolest thing about this new Ultimate universe is that not only is Ultimate Spider-Man in real time (as in it comes out in May and the comic is set in May) but this is for every comic in the Ultimate Universe. Ultimate X-Men shows it off through Japanese school years and Ultimate Black Panther shows it off by how much it skips around events. it's so cool.
@@trevorwalton5431agreed let it flesh itself out on it own the ground work is already compelling and doesn’t need to go beyond. I trust Hickman knows what’s he’s doing since after the prelude 616 has had no involvement.
This has been my favorite Marvel stuff for awhile. I love the Black Panther & Spidey series so far. Haven't gotten into X-men just yet, but I will be picking up the issues that are out.
Agreed, but I hope they keep some of their dark parts sense it would make them stand out like they were in the 616 but without going too far by making Hank abusive or something.
I LOVE all the books so far. Especially Black Panther. This is the best work marvel has done in some time. Really happy with everything so far. I've bought every book except 1 x men. Can't wait for Ultimates
I wonder if they will have a reboot where they set a new status quo. One thing I don't like much about this Ultimate universe is how much of it is about "destiny" and especially Spider-man being destined to become Spider-man, like his whole thing is that it was a complete accident, I don't mind a fresh take, but it's just influenced so much by the multiversal Shenenigans on the Maker ... I don't like that part. I wish it was it's own thing, separate from 616 and the other Ultimate universe.
If a plot is finished, we can always develop new ones. Especially since in Ultimate Spider-Man and Ultimate X-Men the protagonists in question don't fight the Maker organization (not at the moment anyway), and do their own thing.
@brightlord-ov7cm it's not ruining anything. If anything, it's more respectful to the legacy of spider-man than the current 616 books just doing things a bit differently your overreacting.
Hey what is going on guys today I'm going to piss and shit myself
Bruh. 💀
Nice!
I love how each book feels different too, like the ultimates book is gonna be this big grand story while ult xmen is so odd and personal
This is good stuff just all around. I did NOT expect them to add in the OG Human Torch.
Who is the OG Human Torch

@@wheattoast1971 mind is blown i didnt realise that. Thats what i get for growing up on the animated cartoons. I will do a deep dive for sure
I hope even after this Ultimate Universe Marvel keeps making runs that experimental using thing that you couldn’t do on the main Universe
It just feels better if you try tell story by making it feel like one shot it. That's what marvel use to do for most of their stories .

Anyone else think that "Ultimates Unite" would be a better slogan than "Ultimates Assemble?" Missed opportunity, imo.
Bro, make a separate playlist for Ultimate and cover everything!
They’re straight cooking with the ultimate series
The new Ultimate universe is the best. Its like a mini mcu.
I hope to God marvel doesn't do any crossover events with this new ultimate universe

@trevorwalton5431 I agree it should be it's own thing.
9:10 AYOOOOOO. I never thought I’d see him again 🔥🔥🔥
Jonathan Hickman and Co are cooking so good.
bro this video is amazing. definite sub
Awesome video I enjoyed watching it. Thanks for the new information.

Ohhh I love this new ultimates man!!! Feels so much new and refresh and it feels like it’s own thing, like the first iron man film
Think its a good way to plan something fresh and actually will have a good planed end (no ultimate killcount)
I am hoping Antman and the Wasp are more like their Avengers EMH varient, jnstead of their 616,MCU and obviously their previous Ultimate varient.

Johnathan Hickman is the man
He is currently the best thing at Marvel, yet those dumbasses didn't want him to finish his Act 2 of the Krakoa era.
You should definitely cover Ultimate Invasion. It's fundamentally important to this new Ultimate Universe
I’m hearing that DC might do their own Ultimate universe that would be awesome what would they do with Batman and Superman?
The already kinda are with Batman/superman worlds finest

It just feels really convoluted to me. The story is interesting but I don’t see it as sustainable either. More of a What If type of scenario.

Maybe i got too old, but it all seems dumb to me.
You should read the ultimate Spiderman story it still fells grounded for now and it a different origin story for Peter
@@LacTose90 yeah I'm not into ruining what was original, only makes it seem like they have no originality to their creative teams.
