Good racing, but damn, your steersman went overboard! So, is there a DQ for the other boat? Or, is that just part of OC6 racing? (I'm a first season novice steersman in Dana Point CA... I'm watching and learning. My boats don't go that fast, but we still get some close contact near the turns.)
Yes this in the articles for the Racing Association... the head of the association did ask me if we want to push for the DQ... we said No !... no one died... if they want to win so badly ..let them have it... the guys paddling are all friends anyway...but the Steersman makes the choices...the Capttain is in charge... there's no one else to blame
@@HYPRFIT Yeah, winning isn't all that important. Our coaches having been teaching us to hold our line, communicate with other steersmen, and give way even if you have right of way to avoid a tangle. Glad there was no DQ; friends all the way!
