When you consider who and more importantly what Kanon really is, I think this may be the most beautiful and emotionally powerful moment in all of Umineko.
@user-ks7hq7zj3x I'm going to assume you finished the story, if not stop reading bc I'm going to spoil some major things. Shannon, Kanon, and Beatrice are all personas of a girl named Sayo Yasuda, also referred to as "Yasu" by the story. Kanon in particular is the persona that represents Sayo's feelings of self-hatred, inferiority, and general ugliness. its why Kanon is so obsessed about being 'furniture', because 'furniture' is basically just a code word for subhuman. Now onto Episode 6. This chapter in particular is essentially a love letter from Battler to Sayo. He wrote it to show her that he fully understood her, loved her, and to apologize for not being able to save her. Its why the ending of Episode 6 is a happy wedding between Battler and Beatrice. But in this scene in particular, the fact that it is the Kanon persona that is the one who saves the day, its essentially Battler saying to Sayo that even the worst parts of her, the parts that she felt were hideous and subhuman, were still valuable and worthy of love.
I read the explanation of this scene. Kanon 'never' be in the guest house's first room, but in the cousin room. Erika is misguided by part of red truth that she have sealed both rooms while in fact, in the interval, 'Kanon' escape from the cousin's room. (And lastly to explain how Kanon disappear from the room would be spoiler of Episode8 so find it out yourself) I admir this is smart. The explanation would be considered wanker in proper mystery but this is Umineko, a 1 man complex jerkoff around wordplay.
Also, because Erika had to go murder the first twilight victim, she didn't actually look in the room. (darkness of the witch) Also, the red about "everyone else" came back and bit Erika in the ass.
Rosatrice theory explains it better. The trick isn’t multiple personalities but the fact that when Erika sealed the room it was shown from the magical perspective, when in reality she had to go outside to seal the windows, which is when kanon slipped out
And he's back in episode 7 and 8 later. The eternity didn't last that long. Also Kinzo taught Sayo how to shoot, so it wasn't really "Kanon" of magic world, that one died durning the duel.
I'm to lazy and don't have enough time to read the novel myself. I don't mind spoilers so can please someone tell me what was that "error in logic" that Kannon fixed?
Well, it's kinda hard to explain, but I'll try. Basically, there's this place called the Meta world, it's like a higher plane of existence. In this place, Battler (the guy who Kanon saves, also the protagonist btw) is in a fight against some person named Erika. Basically, Battler is presenting the mystery of what's going on in this Island's mansion, and Erika is supposed to solve it. Battler is also with some girl named Beatrice, who's basically supposed to be his wife, but she had complete amnesia. During this battle, at one point, Erika investigates a room where the real world Battler is supposed to be in, but he's disappeared, as part of the mystery. There's only 2 ways to leave the room, the door and the window, which can only be locked from the inside. There is a seal on the door, if the door is open or closed the seal breaks. The seal was placed while real world Battler was still in the room. Erika discovers the seal hasn't been broken, so breaks it herself and enters the room, and looks for Battler in the room. She finds that the window is still locked. What Meta world Battler would claim was that he escaped the room while she was investigating the room's bathroom. However, Erika was playing dirty and reveals that after she entered the room, she locked the door too. So now Meta Battler has to figure out how he could escape the room while still leaving the door and windows locked. This is deemed as an impossible situation, and he has committed a logic error. As punishment, he's locked in the room for eternity, until he can escape the room somehow. Beatrice regains her memories, and she figures out that Kanon could switched places with Battler while Erika was in the bathroom, so Kanon comes and locks the door for Battler so he can escape, saving Battler from his punishment.
OK. Thank you very much for explaining. Though I decided to read the manga because I heared it's a preety neat adaptation and I readed this fragment of story exactly today. I imagine that this wouldn't be so much pain for Battler if Lambdadelta wasn't a "judge". If Lambda wouldn't judge if red truths are accurate he could possibly jus say "There's a way to escape from this room" in red. Also am I the only one that thinks that "repairing" a lock with *DUCT TAPE* is preety stratched up? Also I know that it was announced in red that you can only lock this room from inside but was there realy no gap between door-frame and the door to set the lock trough it? (Well there probably wasn't if it was announced in red.)
@@makokitsune6487 I mean, the lock was a chain lock, so repairing it only required taping two pieces of chain together. As for what Lambdadelta did, that wasn't actually her fault. The only reason she checked Battler's reds was because Erika filed for a logic error
@@shaotihk6445 Have you read ep7 yet? The concept that allowed him to escape is explained there. It's also mentioned after the Erika/Beatrice fight at the end of this ep
Could someone please tell me how to download this game all the way from the start, i tried everything but can't make it run. the .exe file always says you are using the wrong game for this patch...
David Dao First look up a torrent of the Japanese version of the game. Then type in google umitweak and head to the downloads page to download the patch. After you've installed the game you just move the folder included in the patch into the game's folder. (Do not try to download an already patched version as most of them do not work correctly, download Japanese first, then patch) And then to run the game you will want to run the .exe file that is inside the PATCH folder, if you run the Japanese file then the game will still be in Japanese. Hope I helped.

what is the debt kanon talks about? i don't temember...
+Gustavo Oliveira (gugmt15) I think it's connected to Sayo becoming Beatrice, since Kanon was born from Sayo's negative feelings
Beatrice giving him time to talk to Jessica in Episode 3 by stalling Eva-Beatrice.
