- #FlyHainan The new Boeing 787-9 aircraft is equipped with a total of 292 seats across our Economy Class, Hainan Plus and Business Class cabins. Our Business Class cabin is fitted with 30 Herringbone seats, each with a 42-inch pitch and arranged in a 1-2-1 configuration. Our Hainan Plus cabin is equipped with 36 seats , each with a 36-inch pitch. Our Economy Class cabin has 226 seats, each with a 32-inch pitch. Hainan Plus and Economy Class seats are set out in a 3-3-3 configuration.

I'm a big fan of Hainan Airlines, looking forward to flying SZX-VIE in January 2019. Greetings to HNA!
Great flight from Hainan Airlines from Boston to Shanghai. Food was great and service was excellent in business class. The only downfall was the movie selection was limited, TV functionality was also limited. For a new aircraft (B787-800) you can see alot of cosmetics issues in business class, an example was moldings from the foot rest was peeling off, the entertainment system was not functional so I was moved and continued to have issues. Some of the seats has visible wear and tear and even stains. The 2-2-2 configuration is also the not friendly given that you have to bother your seat mate if the seat was in full bed mode if you want to get out from the window seat section. Overall, the service and flight was excellent, the food was excellent, the drinks and smiles from the flight attendants was exceptional. Sooner or later I hope Hainan can transition to the herringbone configuration for business section so flyers can have privacy and have a wonderful experience. I will definitely fly Hainan Business Class again for my Asian business trips.

I don't see seat chat on most flight reviews. The seat chat feature sounds awesome, my problem is that the video never shows which category and menu it's in.
Can it fly from Shenzhen to Gold Coast Australia non-stop?

we have only one herringbone configuration flight, but there will be more flights next year.

yes, already have four B787 with new herringbone configuration,there are B6969, B1345, B1499 and B7667
it appears 1345 and 1499 haven't flown in 2 months. Are there any more? Any on flights between US and China?
