Saw a fella high side a brand new one of these on a nasty corner just down from where I used to live.
He was on a test ride from the local Honda dealer!
He was ok apart from his ego, the bike not so lucky.
Same shape and year as my 2nd CBR1000f (my 1st was a 1987 that my mate has literally just sold a few weeks back).
As Ian says below, main issues - reg/rec (all Honda of that era), cam chain tensioner (all bikes of that era) - I wasn't aware of a swing arm issue on that bike, unlike my Pan 1100 which rotted from the inside out.
Comfortable and quick bike, a touch thirsty on fuel, but not the end of the world.
I have one 212000 miles still runs great love it ❤
You can really see how much this gave to the Blackbird that followed it.
That is a really nice one, imagen if Delboy got his hands on it and customised it. What a horrible thought.
nice bike don`t see many of them in that condition as well
Haven't seen one of these in years, however yesterday I saw a red, white and blue on the road, and now this.
I remember these were called a sports bike for truckers which I thought even as a tuned exup 1000 rider at the time was a real disservice as they were a top bike imho
8.06 the guy waving you to slow down 🤣 or cheering you on 😉. Brilliant bike! I actually have a 91 myself and its ageless! Heaps of power and a true joy to ride. Silky smooth and can literally go all day on it without feeling like you've gone 10 rounds with tyson by the time you get back home. Can't wait to get back out on mine this summer!
That was Donald Trump.
Hi Craig, hope you are well, love your channel
Beautiful condition. I’m sure the new owner will be pleased as punch!
That's cracking bike. Good luck with the sale
what a bike k reg pulling like a train got to be a honda nice one craig
The only problems with that model are the cam chain tensioner, the swing arm rusting at the root, and the voltage regulator. It is a cracking bike, I own one!
As someone mentioned earlier, you may want to blur the speedo. They can calculate your speed by road signs and white lines etc.... Well done for giving it some beans, as it was designed for though. I've a blackbird, and would love to have one if these to follow the evolution of the sports tourer. Good luck with the auction 👍
Owned 2 of them. Great bikes. 2 up on an autobahn with camping gear flat out caused me to think the tank had sprung a leak. 😂😂
Why?
@@jayflash2035 Why what?
@@peterwilson8797 oh okay, you were going through more fuel…
@@jayflash2035 seriously more. 🤣🤣🤣
Del's next project...
very nice bike, if a guy wanted a bike to tour Europe there it is, saddlebags, tail bag, tank bag.. beautiful area you were riding thru there..
G’day Craig very nice bike I have had two Honders and they are always beautifully turned out the paint and finish is terrific terrific. Regards John

Evening cocker 📸
come on Del buy it and fab it.....
Evenin' everyone
The colour scheme looks a little like the one that was on the CBR250RR MC19
Luvly looking bike, very classy
Lovely bike 🙂
Just a tip...probably not the best plan to show your speedo in that 40mph limit 😂
@@alastairhutt8534 if only teapotone knew that 😂
@@alastairhutt8534 It's not the calibration of the speedo you need to worry about, it's the calibration of the speed detection camera.
If it's handheld then the police have date, time and location because you were recorded travelling at that speed, at that time, on that date and they were at that location to do it.
If it's a fixed roadside camera it has date time and speed and it knows the location because it's where the camera is.
In any case where we get caught speeding, the date, time, speed and location is recorded.
It's really not difficult for "them" to prove at all. It's down to justice traffic to decide whether to prosecute or not.
@@alastairhutt8534 just saying as there have been prosecutions especially as at one point there looked to be double the proscribed limit. The ones I've heard of didn't go for speed but for due care/reckless due to excessive speed and unfortunately the evidence is published on this channel. I'm only saying cos Craig is a nice bloke and the last thing he needs is sh*t from the police.
Barely run-in and very clean. Not in the market at the mo.
