Zigzag is a figure from Kentucky Running Set or Appalachian Big Set.
The Heads separate and, with their opposite, Cross-Trail through the Sides, i.e. go through them diagonally, letting the Lady go first. You meet your partner on the other side and pass them by the right shoulder (Men on the outside), then Cross-Trail through the other Side Couples to get home.
There are lots of variations on what happens next, I just get everyone to Dosido and Swing.
You can call "All the Men/Ladies Zigzag". They all go in front of their Corner and weave around the set to Home.
The call "Everyone Zigzag" is not well-defined, you just watch everyone try to get around the set to Home without crashing! :-)
As long as everyone is having fun it is not crucial that they follow the "correct" path!
The Circles, Into the Middles and Grand Chains are just throw in randomly to fill out the dance.
