Clearly this is a very special city as one may have heard or read about it. Red buildings, narrow streets, old markets, spices, beautiful palaces, the most popular meal in Morocco. You showed it all with good presentation Brother.

I LOVED Marrakesh when I went there! The city, the food, the people all just so lovely. There's even a Hebrew restaurant in the city. I plan on going back to take in more of the city, though I do feel I did a ton while there. And honestly it astounded me how open they were.

Thanks for the Vid, Bud!! You're using the right strategy to travel. You mentally do the conversion fast to US $ to get an idea about the prices compared to the USA prices, you get rid of the hustlers rapidly and politely, and you use a different nationality to avoid the attraction and the money milking. I can see you walk pretty fast and you stay alert. All the things to do when traveling solo as I do too. A simple piece of advice: I would NOT rely on google Maps or Directions too much in developing countries because it's not accurate and doesn't give the short distance. Take care and enjoy your stay in Marrakesh/Morocco!! Cheers,

It's called Moroccan language. we call it arabic but it's a mixture of three languages. it's 90% of words and expressions split between Arabic and Amazigh (berber) but the grammer is Amazigh (berber). and the reset is french, where we sometimes shove some words or expressions in as well. The Arabs from the middle east don't understand it. Just a little correction.

All Moroccans are ethnically Berbers(Amazigh) some speak the language and many don't because of the influence of Arabization. Some think they are Arabs because they no longer speak the Berber languages Moroccans however don't speak Arabic in their day to day life, they speak Derija, some people call it Arabic our of ignorance, Derija is a mix of Berber, Arabic, French and Spanish loan words.
