I love these chase scenes, I drove a Peugeot RCZ 1.6 200 for four weeks and it was an amazing machine. I'm assuming the 208 GTI doesn't disappoint either.
The 208 gti could've kept up with the W12 in the city, no worries there. But when they started to trade paint, and when the 208 hit the A8 on the bridge, none of those were supposed to happen. The A8 may slide sideways like half a meter, but the 208 would've been smashed to its windshield. I call bullshit.

Audis not going to hit top gear around town easily enough, and throwing a heavy car like that around means you wouldn't be going above about 80kph at any point. Peugeot would have similar power to weight ratio so is not as unbelievable as you might think. Drive some cars and get some experience before you bag on the scene
On paper that german sausage is way more powerful but on twisty roads that 208 gti is clearly better nimbler and more capable. That goes to show you don't know shit about driving performance. Stick to fatass audis where you belong

This is why the new action movies are sh!t. A Peugeot 208 GTI with just 208 HPs FWD vs Audi A8 450HP 580Nm of torque and AWD and the Peugeot managed to keep up. Whichever way you try to spin it it doesn't work. The Audi is way way quicker to 100kph and has much more grip. Even if by some miracle the peugeot can catch to that monster, it still weighs almost half of that. One simple nudge and it's flying away. They could've came up with some similar class car like an E63 AMG or 750i, but nooo .. let's make a fictional movie.
