Interesting to say the least...my ex husband was one of the original owners of Catch a falling Star, next door to Rick's..We were very close to original owner (Richard Hirschman)..I use to jump off the cliffs daily...in 1981 I snapped my back and the Rastas in the passages dove out and saved me... JAH Rastafari 🌹💛🌿😢
Word of warning to anyone jumping in the water -- if someone tells you to swim in the opposite direction of the ladders to get out, you'll be led through some "scenic" passageways then asked to pay money to get back out. Not sure if this scam is still going on, but it happened to me about 10 years ago. I ignored those people and just swam to the closest ladder. My wife had an earring fall out onto the rocks and some dude next to her saw it happen and he quickly put his hand over it so she couldn't see it... trying to steal it from her. She saw that and asked him to move his hand. Jamaica (and Rick's Cafe) is a fun place, but keep your wits about you. Oh, also, be careful with the cliff diving... if you hurt yourself, there is no good ambulance service (or hospitals) nearby and you'll likely end up taking a taxi to a hospital many hours away... even still, the medical facilities in Jamaica leave much to be desired.
I believe that ,they should improve the physical appearance of Rick's Cafe, anyone ever hear the song done by Tyrone Taylor, about the Rick's Cafe, that was the 1987, now it,s 37 years later how about spend the billions you to improve your destination decades after decade same old same old thank you
Thank you for watching. I appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment. I remember going to ricks café when I was a kid and from THEN to now it seems like an improvement. The next time I’m there I’ll have to take a second look from your perspective. Thanks again for watching.
There is nothing 'exotic' about them dancing, that word has been so overused by strip bars, I would love to see people forget about it! These are natives to Jamaica and it is the way they have fun but with alcohol being served, just a bad mix for teenagers to be there!. Thanks for sharing this otherwise!
Nice Video
Thanks for the visit

How deep is the water? I would love to do this when I visit next June
I don’t know exactly how deep it is, but you won’t be able to touch the bottom unless you intentionally dive down there for a bit.
At least 60 feet, I jump, and you can see straight to the bottom, I'll definitely say 100feet now that I think about it's, it's pretty much a ocean
@@mrs.cherry-moore8777 if you have to ask you probably shouldn’t jump 😬
I have been there
It is one of the go to destinations if you are in Negril. If you ever get a chance to go, please let me know how it goes.
Jumping into the water,I am surprised that you did not get your head mwan off clean by a shark.
