Inferno rennen 2023 downhill ski (Abfahrt) competition in Mürren Switzerland. I had a start number 69 among 1850 competitors. This time the goal was in Mürren because of the snow situation (winter came a bit late) and the race track was about 7,5km long. The temperature was in the start about -20C degrees... Nice video Ville! I know see why I should have chosen DH-skis instead of GS. As a newbie ⛷I lost minutes just on the flat parts, so I needed even more climbing up the “woodcutter”. That was just terrible for me😫. I hope to get another chance next year. (This year’s start number 1829)

Thanx, I use 210cm SG skis, but I have friends with DH skis, and they work also well. My pair isn't that fast as the previous pair was, and I'm wondering should I use the old ones on next time... The only problem is that the edges are almost gone, so sharpening is quite tricky...😄

En törmäillyt, mutta aika moni törmäili johonkin, koska medihelejä meni poikkeuksellisen tiiviisti ympäri kisarataa. Afterski oli varsin railakas tapahtuma Festhallessa ja ilman pahempia loukkaantumisia sieltäkin selvittiin.

Ich hoffe mal, du sprichst deutsch 😅 Ich wollte mich auch nächstes Jahr am Inferno Rennen anmelden. Also es gibt ein Riesenslalom und die Abfahrt aus deinem Video? Muss man an beiden Rennen teilnehmen, oder kann man auch nur ein Rennen machen? Auf der Website steht leider nicht so viel dazu. Hast du dieses Jahr auch am Riesenslalom teilgenommen?

Du kannst nur die Abfahrt fahren. Wenn du aber "Neuling" bist, musst du Glück haben, dass du einen Startplatz erhältst. Alle neuen kommen in einen Topf und die freien Plätze werden dann zugelost (so in etwa).

Ich mache nur Abfahrt aber Mein Freund macht immer alle drei. Man kan nur Abfahrt machen oder die alle drei (Langlauf, Riesen Slalom und Abfahrt).

@Ville Man kann ein Inferno nicht rennen. Du meinst wohl: Infernorennen oder Inferno-Rennen. Kein Leerschlag! 👍

That's not downhill, that's marathon... They could easily set the start a lot lower (after the 2 minutes uf just plain straight gliding i.E.). Your legs are dead after 2.5 mins and then you should be able to do turns and stuff.

If you start the following run from 5.50, then you can see the real marathon😉 (until that the race run is the same as you saw already, but from there is still about 8 kilometers till the finish line. Who cleaned slopes you from the skiers? You are the VIP?😂😂😂. I didn't see never empty slopes, how I live. When there are skiers, I must be careful for them, because they are incalculable.

I cleaned the slopes race by race and year by year...😁 in last 2 races I haven't passed anybody and anyone hasn't passed me😉 but getting older so let's see in the future.
