Watching him shut down a Labyrinth deck with crooked cook was so satisfying
As a player with a Labrynth deck IRL and on MD, I was like..."My guy...Pop your own monsters for Hand Snipes and make Goddess of the Underworld when you fill the field up..."
All he plays is stall and floodgate shit.

@@NeostormXLMAX Still doesn't mean they couldn't pop their own monster with Welcome Labrynth, use Lovely Labrynth to rip Exodia out the hand. The issue is the Final Countdown which would need a Kaiju effect to remove Cook
played my own version of this list today and went up against a labyrinth deck. they zeus'd themselves then conceded
I like how we mainly see him play meme decks but he does well cause he knows the meta decks somewhat

That's a lot to ask in Master Duel
Dunno if it's nice to expose some not-so-secret counter tech, but Crooked Cook gets roasted by an extra deck monster called Underworld Goddess.
She's basically an extra deck kaiju (needs at least 4 monsters to summon, but uses one of your opponent's monsters as material to summon herself) and just an all around amazing addition to any deck that can spam out 3/4 monsters in a turn.
If you're getting into master duel and not running a deck that locks itself out of link summons (ala Branded), I'd highly recommend crafting her because she can be run in almost every deck you make (and WILL save your bum from far more than just cook!).
And it was getting cooked that made me google and ultimately find her ;)

crooked cook pretty much wins games if you dont run a tribute monster like the kaijuu cards or underworld goddess
Basically card effects and spells to get more monsters on the feild that stop your opponent from putting out powerful monsters themselves. Aka stun deck

Ya I never learned how to play any of the trading card games as a kid like yu-gi-oh!, pokemon or magic, I just thought the artwork looked cool lol

Yeah, varying quality aside, the Yugioh Video Games always have absolute banger soundtracks, I'd reccomend the Duel Links DSoD tracks if you're looking for something similar to MD

Another out to cook is making the opponent remove it themselves. For example, through the effect of cyber angel dakini
I look at his cook deck and go "my toon deck allows me to attack life points directly no matter how many monsters are on the field"

I used a very similar deck to this one and in my third game with it i held a poor guy hostage for an hour in a ranked duel we got to turn 58 before i drew exodia, bro was overcooked.
Lmao the win cons for cook is deckout by using outstanding dog marron, final countdown by 20 turns or exodia
So Crooked Cook is basically stall. Neat.
The only entertaining way to witness the Exodia Cook deck or the all luck deck is by watching Charlie.

When it comes to Yugioh any time someone takes a break from the game for more than two years at the very least, when they come back they have to learn so many new meta-changing cards/mechanics that have come out since then. I wouldn't say they're a "newcomer" by any means but they got some work to do is all.
Why I runn1 copy of yariza in my six samurai deck. You never know when cook or something will ruin your day. Also, 1k direct for game happens more often than you might think.

As someone who runs dark magician its quite entertaining to just make entertaining but goofy plays. Some wins are pretty damn goofy but some are to the wire. You get the same effect for running the god cards as well. For the amount of ways you can reliably get them on the field and utilizing graveyard shenanigans it just works.
