I went through the same thing except I’m the other (Golden) sibling. I see how it really got to my sister. Despite how hard I’ve worked to let her know that I saw our childhood the same way she did, Today, she doesn’t trust anyone, harbors toxic levels of resentment, acts like a child emotionally, and every time she’s in a disagreement she calls it “taking the opposite side of her” as opposed to genuinely having a different take on something. So while I cannot and will not understand your experience, my advice to you is to grieve what you didn’t get but absolutely deserved; move forward understanding you may never be loved the way you deserve by your family, and love yourself the way you were always meant to be loved. I may be the golden child but our family was all types of fcked up. So I removed myself from the family when I turned 18, became my own person and learned more about myself, nurtured some of my childhood wounds and when I returned, I was able to see things clearly. My mom tried her best with what she had. Your parents are human too. They messed up, but it doesn’t mean they wanted it to be that way. They just don’t understand what you need the way you do, and you may not know how to articulate it yet. Do you. My sister didn’t do that and ended up the way she is now and tbh she has huge woe is me energy, is super selfish, can’t maintain relationships with others, has emotional outbursts etc. You may have been dealt a shitty hand as a child but when an adult, you are free. You a get to choose your actions. if you want to be better, it’s your responsibility and no one else’s. And what you gain was a result of your choices. If you stay the same or become worse, that was your choice too. They made a mess in your house. Does matter more that your house is clean? (The right choice) Or that they be the ones to clean it up? (The egotistical choice) The house is you. If you want something better you have to accept may have to move forward without them.
At least she cared enough to lie...? The irony for me is that my older sister was a handful, she was the first one, the beloved one. My mother took her side regardless of if she was right or wrong. I was crying while watching this... I am a single child... But my parent's always compare me with my friend's and classmates and they say that i am intelligent but not pretty like Elizabeth... They only love me for who they want me to be...
As I was growing up, my mom kept on comparing me to Eva, my BFF who was also the top kid of our class. Then one day when I was at Eva's place, I overheard Eva's mom comparing her daughter to me! So you'd better check out what Elizabeth's parents tell her. It might be "Why can't you be like (your real name)?"

I asked my parents the same question and they were like : " Neither of you , keeping a dog is better than keeping you sneks " 😶
As an asian, This is so true😂😂😢😢🫡🫡
Asian parents actually love their kids a lot, they just dont know how to express it. After all, they want us to get straight A and encourage us to become doctor and lawyer, but thats because they want the best for us. Every parents love their kids, and we Asians have the tradition of loving and caring for each other
okay but lets be real, the asian parent will always love the brother a bit more 🥲
I died at the end 😂🤣
LOLL the plot twist at the end🤣😭
Ah, the duality of parenthood…
new title: british parents vs asian parents picking their favorite child
I was crying while watching this... I am a single child... But my parent's always compare me with my friend's and classmates and they say that i am intelligent but not pretty like Elizabeth... They only love me for who they want me to be...
Oh my what is wrong with some people. Love yourself sweetheart and reject those who put you down.
That ending was certainly a twist.
This is so true 😂
My mom: why can’t you be more like your brother
Also my mom: why can’t you be more like your sister 😅
My mom speaks to me so badly and I'm 15 I had 2 grow up emotional and physical abuse , when I was 5 and I couldn't spell my name she chocked me and called me an idiotic fool . People don't think it hurts but growing up w this is trauma
As an Asian,I am always my parents’ fav child BC IM AN ONLY CHILD LOL 😂😂😂😂😂
But also their least favorite child lol
@@nicoletrudell2065 I’m the least fav, middle, most fav child at the same time then
Dude, that ending threw me lol. To this day we still wonder who my dad's favorite child was (my sister is sure it's her) but we legit know that it's my brother for my mom, lol!
the 'toodaloo!' got me 🤣🤣🤣
Well played, Asian mom. Well played. Kaiser Soše.
1:23 I'm dead 😭😭
I was getting some serious flashbacks.
I can relate to the Asian Parents part.
Love the plot twist at the end 😂
I cant tell if I’m my parents favorite or least favorite. I have the best grades and I always get all my work done all of the time. But I’m easily ignored and my siblings have more social special interests or need more attention that I apparently don’t need.
I LOVE HIS ICONIC "HOIYAHH"
i love how he plays each character 😅 so entertaining
asian mom: no i like your sister
2 seconds later...
hailey: hey mom :)
asian mom: why cant you be like your brother?! HOYAAA
Real convo I had with my mom last week:
If my brother and I were drowning who would you save? “both of you”
If dad and I were drowning who would you save? “Duh, *you”*
My dad: 🥺
