You are playing really well! On the last game, although a win would have been amazing. Since you were running low on time, a draw wasn't the worst result.
Congratulations on your new record elo rating, awesome. Exciting games. In that final game, maybe if you had brought your 2nd rook into the action to support the queen/rook attack on his king, it might have worked.
IMO at the 32:29 time you had your mating net set up and should have pursued that instead of Bxb8. Bxh6 or Be5 could really put on the pressure. Congrats tho on the ELO
The recording does sound good. Maybe use the noise suppression on OBS as it seems like it helps a lot for covering the background noise. Also good stuff today with the games!
if the last guys ELO was displayed as 1600 you would have checkmated him in a fancy way in the middlegame, its the psychology :/ very cool games Owen keep it up!
@@harryosborne2283 thanks so much Harry! Idk about a big RUclipsr, but who knows? It could happen 😂😂, I'll try to keep improving the content and I hope you keep enjoying it!
Thanks for some great stuff! I just started my own ELO climb, I was meaning to ask you if you have any feedback on showing the game review on the side continuously? How did you decide to go with it? Also, how do you actually edit it - is there a quicker way of doing it? Thanks a lot for all the great videos and for the inspiration
@@Chess-with-Pascal epic man!!! I hope it grows for you and you enjoy it!! It's been a lot of fun for me! People said they really liked the analysis board on the side, I just thought of it and thought it was quite unique, so I went with it! It takes a long time to edit it in, essentially you have to watch the game back at the same time as you played it and make all the moves and then match it up in the editing program. It takes some time, but I think it's worth doing it
@@Blunder_Man Thanks sooo much, Legend! Appreciate it! I figured that's how you edited, its time consuming but I think the end results is well worth it. Will give it a try later today! If you ever want to do a match, e.g. "1400 vs 1900 - what is the difference" or similar, just hit me up! I've seen that that content like that is appreciated by viewers (even though I would get my a** beaten, it would still be fun)😆
@@Chess-with-Pascal I'll have to get to 1900 first hahaha, and don't say you will lose, you can always play a solid game and spot the blunders/inaccuracies from your opponent, I make a lot haha!
@@Blunder_Man I finally finished with the first video, wow it takes longer time but man its a great result! Take care man and all the best moving forward. Looking forward seeing you grow even more!
You know your stuff, especially the Jovava, way better than your opponents. It doesn't matter at all what their rating is. If they don't know how to play against Jobava, they'll be cooked. 😁

@@wpt729fx thanks man, yeah, frustrating, but overall pretty happy!
Congrats!..your game had improved a lot!!
@@Kitty_Hawk1 thanks so much man!! I'm trying!!!
A wonderfully smooth recording. Just the sweet vibrations of the vocal cords rumbling my eardrum!
@@DaVaidrRaidr lol, I thought the audio was really bad today... I've invested in a new mic though, so hopefully can get it better soon

Yeah I think you're probably correct! Hindsight is 20/20
Nice video, congrats on the peak. A bit unfortunate though that you drew game 3, but I would have also thrown it away under time pressure
The pressure gets to me, haha, but thanks!

I'll try to not get psyched out as much, I did just see a video from Magnus talking about how he was dominant because of his psychology
I've been watching for a few weeks now and just assumed you were a very big RUclipsr, very good quality vids, finally remembered to subscribe 🫡

Ah thanks man! I do think I've got a pretty solid understanding of the opening, but I'm still a ways off where I can be
