I absolutely love my Dowler Boots in Bordeaux!:) I have the Gallagher’s in Tan and Nolan’s in Brown coming soon. Excited to enjoy those selections as well.
My thing is they A: look rounder and less sleek than something like thursday boots, and B: use a blake stitch rather than a Goodyear welt. Either are resoleable, but goodyear welts are easier. So it's easier to find a cobbler that can do it. That said, they're still pretty nice looking. Especially if you like the profile.
You're absolutely correct. Funny though, usually a goodyear welt often gives the boot a bulkier look to them but Thursday does a good job keeping their boots sleek, like you mentioned. I think there are pro's and con's to each style. If we are being honest, both brands products are more than likely not making it past 5-10 years of wear. Nice review. I've had my eye on these for quite sometime and I finally pulled the trigger yesterday. They're on sale so it was a no brainer for me. I ordered the Walnut and a .5 size down.

I received a pair of Dowler boots from Beckett Simonon just a week ago and the quality is top-notch but I'd never bought a shoe from online before so it's a little nerve racking waiting 2-3 months for your shoe and you're not even sure if it's going to fit! But luckily they fit very well (I ordered the size I have for another boot) and the quality is outstanding. The break-in period you mentioned is definitely true too because of the high quality, durable leather they're quite stiff to start with.
Since I’ve been traveling a lot more, I tried using CapCut from my phone. Carrying two laptops (business & personal) isn’t ideal. I may try and insert this video to FCP and edit the lighting and re-upload.
These are brown. I believe the ones you ordered may have a light red tint to it, almost like a cherry wood. I’d be curious to see what they look like. I hope you love them as much as I do mine!
@@stevewhite5120 the only downfall lol. I ordered a pair of loafers and they came back too big. I had to wait additional time unfortunately. Well worth it though!
In my opinion, I think Nike runs smaller/narrow. I’d say you have two options; 1. You go with the 10 because the leather will stretch and conform to your foot 2. You go a half size up and if it’s slightly too big, they give you inserts or you can wear thicker socks.

I ended up ordering Preston Chelsea boot. I went with my regular size and the shoe fits perfectly.

What is the color you purchased not sure if you got black? I ordered the color Bordeaux which is a darker brown
