- The last episode of the series ventures into the desert that the Egyptians of the Nile have never really managed to control. To this day it remains a place of danger and rebellion.
Three centuries after the first discoveries, Egypt still reveals new buried treasures, and its inexhaustible myths continue to exist.
In this modern context, what has become of the river, the source of the Egyptians' livelihood for thousands of years? What does death mean today? What strength does eternity still have in the minds of its inhabitants? And what can be found in the arid desert?
Combining geography, civilization and archaeology, this series unveils the most spectacular places in Egypt, and takes us to meet those who continue to maintain the legends. A dreamlike journey through four powerful and mysterious symbols around which the identity of Egyptian civilization was built: Death, Eternity, the Desert and the Nile.

What an amazing documentary it's so cool to see the outskirts of Egypt and the Oasis are so beautiful really nice
That was a GOOD documentary. I enjoyed. Thank you.
I was there in 1961 sleeping under the stars it hadn’t rained in 11 yrs. And then it poured had to sleep in my truck.
This made me laugh. That's just always how it goes, too.
Antarctica was not always a frozen continent as the Sahara was not always desert.
That is correct. These whale bones and such, I believe weren't swimming there as he states. They were displaced to that area. Meaning....something hit the Atlantic and literally washed all those sea craetures up and onto Mauritania along with all the sediment. That's what the aerial view speaks to me as..but I'm no geologist or anything 😅
Antarctica will eventually not be a frozen continent, as the Sahara will again become green.
@@lawerancelanham comets, meteors, meteriorites and such ...do hit our planet often. In addition - there was an inland sea which closed and dried out.
Whales in the Sahara were not "displaced".
Sahara was similar to persian countries, and Antarctica was similar to Brazil or Australia when they are during the golden age.
The Riddle of The Sphinx torments my mind eternally
LOL. Been there, done that! then... had a revelation;
1. it's a natural rock outcrop, originally carved to representing a female ruler Meritites I, as the lioness Ⲟⲩⲃⲁⲥⲧⲉ, (Oubaste) worshipped as early as the Second Dynasty (2890 BC). Her name also is rendered as B'sst, Baast, Ubaste, and Baset.
In ancient Greek religion, she was known as Ailuros (Koinē Greek: αἴλουρος, lit. 'cat') facing the sunrise, tail to the south.
Why tho. The Bible as well of every society around the world, knows it was there before the flood. Which is why it has water erosion.
@@yanina.korolko its wet underneath it.
@@nelotharen8599 wet underneath it? What is “it”? Are you referring to the great female Spinx?
@@yanina.korolko the sand under it (the sphinx) is always wet. It was built well before the pyramids.
African history slaps. Fun video.
I went to King Tut’s museum exhibit yesterday. It was interesting because not only did they believe in the after life in their unique interpretation but they were aware of other portals. Thank you for sharing. God bless ✝️
Egypt has plenty of wonders
Really good background music
OK, Excellent production. 44:00 Who else sees a Roman face in the stone on the right side of the screen?
Oh yes absolutely it's there!
42:20 The "oracle" priest had no bloody idea who had killed Alexander's father (Philip of Macedon), so instead, he kept repeating the usual for a king/pharaoh/ruler/general
"your father is not dead, he is a new star in the sky with other stars/gods (dead kings/queens, who are now also concidered as stars/gods), Alexander, you're the son of a god...." followed by heavy mechanical breathing. 🤣😂
BTW, Darth Vader never says, “Luke, I am your father.” In actuality, he says, “No, I am your father.”
Darth Vader was my hero as for Luke they should have killed him off in the first five minutes
@@MickAngelhere good point, I think I agree with you👍🖖
@@yanina.korolko 👍
African history is awesome! Captivating, condensed and full of secrets of the universe. From The Bantu Expansion to the Zagwe Empire. I share Haplogroup E-p252 with Kongolese nobility and Ramesside Kings from Aswan. Salaam.
Black Africans and Berbers identify by tribal affiliations. Egyptians have never been tribal primitives. Thus, it’s insulting to describe Egyptian civilization as “African”.
@@dr.banoub9233 You probably don't know that Egypt is in Africa. Furthermore, the "original and first" people of Africa and the entire world were melanated "so called blk" Africans. You tried, try harder next time. Cheers!🍸
@@thesoulbrother8636
Egyptians have existed long before the recent , just the other day, term of Africa was concocted. Actually, the entirety of North Africa was termed Libya before the name Africa. We are just as much ‘Libyan’ or ‘African’ as Russians and Turks are Asians.
@@dr.banoub9233 You my friend, aren't native to alkebulan (Africa). Furthermore, the oldest and first people of "all of Africa and the entire world," are melanated so called blk African. The ancient north African rock paintings, anthropology, archeology and DNA proves it. Cheers!🍸
@@dr.banoub9233 Do you have any idea how old "melanated" so called blk Africans are? Because if you think those pale skin so called north Africans have occupied those lands "before" melanated Africans, then you my friend are absolutely wrong! Furthermore, you need to learn about the invasions/migration and intermarriage of the current occupants of north Africa. This is the history of north Africa, you can take it or leave it. Cheers!🍸
dude has some interesting ways of pronouncing words
Yes, its a beauty for english🙏. English is to be so blessed when spoken in this tongue
1:09 Beautiful north african black peoples representation!
1:46 There were no camels in ancient Egypt! No camel caravans in the Sahara either - instead, there were horse drawn chariots.
5:48 Brillinat! 40 million year old whale bones!!
7:20 5,000 BC, or ~ 7,000 BP. Important: desertification wasn't sudden. Predynastic Egypt" is traditionally defined as the period from the final part of the Neolithic period beginning c. 6200 BC to the end of the Naqada III period c. 3000 BC.
Casinos in the dessert attract people!
All the great empires crumble from the inside out
I’d bet if the sands are removed from the desert it would reveal something spectacular and be clean
You'll lose all your money on that bet.
7-10k years ago much of northern Africa was savanna grassland with massive lakes and marshy areas, both Rock Art and Egyptian heiroglyphs depict the wildlife of the area including elephants, giraffe, & many other grazing & predatory animals, forests of sycamore trees.
@@westwardHo- yes, indeed, no one is arguing. but sand removal? wow ...
I think you could squeeze in some more ads!
Just let the Brits in there really good at finding treasure they found the most in ancient Egypt yes they might take loads home but atleast they'll find it 😂
The Sphinx and various giant pyramids are "hidden" treasure in the Sahara? History Hit is definitely screwed up.
Galactic treasure when sphinx avenue reopens.
egypt is the land of dreams i will visit one day
Beautiful absolutely beautiful
Thank you Timeline
If you build it, they will come.
All those Ancient Caugyptian portraits.
Just a travel guide more than anything.
I wonder what they blamed the sudden climate change on back then???
There was NO sudden change !!
It happened over thousands of years ?! It didn't happen in a couple of days!! People wouldn't actually be aware of it ...
Happened before it will happen again and again, the planet & climate is not static despite what ever you been told by uneducated idiots.
Your mom
I noticed, you use the female looking depiction of the spix on cover. Would you explain if that meant anything?
Whale legs??
Yep to match it's horns and ears ya know.
Yes whales were mammals who used legs to walk the land. They evolved to get rid of them, but still have the hip bone structure to support them.
Just wanted share the fact that Dakhla is in south Morocco 🙏✌️
I didn't like the date pickers , they can keep them in Russia 😂
Great videography. However, the accuracy of the information is highly suspect, thus, unwatchable.
If you look at the map it is a pitt viper and Israel is a Shofar original trumpet rams horn

Nah bro, just ancient Africans lol. Whose descendants make up 17 tribes: The Balanta, Yoruba, Bamileke, Hutu, Tutsi, Balanta, Nalu, Mandingo, Ovambo, Herero, Sukuma, Mbundu, Fante, Ga, Ewe, and the Akan tribes. As well as 13 Kenyan, Malagasy, Shirazi, Cape Verde and Tuareg tribes of Libya and Niger that share 60% of that paternal Haplogroup.
Annunaki
absolutely incorrect.
You become what you think about all day long.
Egypt was in America. They lied and said this happened across the world
OR, There was a world wide flood and many animals were abandoned there when the water receded
I cant say this with enough enthusiasm.... NO THERE WASNT.
You cannot do a documentary like this and not provide maps to orient the viewer to the locations. Not very well done.
Go read the back of a cereal box then for your needs 🙄
F that everything buried under the Sahara sand ISN'T Egyptian
Wow you are so smart
Very good

Peace. Next
It says not 40 million years old. It's from the great flood which every ancient people said happen.
40 million years......yah right.
The narrator is talking way two quickly throwing to much info at you far to quickly. It’s annoying and frustrating there is no pace. It’s like a race to quickly get the documentary over so the narrator can go do something interesting. I’m not going o continue to watch..?
The North American continent has had some ancient history also. You want more viewers from there maybe you could accomadate them with a look?
African history hits a little different though
200 years isn’t ancient history!
@@GIBBO4182 what? Do you think people weren't living on the North American until 1824?
😢
🙄 They have plenty of docs about that topic.
Too bad, Egypt lies about their past

Don't worry, be egyptian.
lol...don't worry, be galactic civilizations.
Religious myth or land tainted by an ancient tech bombing🤷🏻♀️
40 million years 😂😂😂😂😂
There is no context to place living whales here. Erosional events discovered its final resting place; we have no attempt made to circumstantially account for this location, just the tired repetitions of whole-cloth fables and "deep time". We are more confident a whale was buried here than lived here; expired forms of sea life are routinely transported beachward (and beyond) by swelling waters.
Dam women been causes trouble since time. These dudes built prisons for em😂😂😂😂😂
Wanna know how we know Egyptians weren’t just black? They actually built things not just destroy them 🤣
all the ones we havent found?
