Pertwee is EASILY a top 5 Doctor for me and I love watching his classic Who episodes. I love Big Finish and to have 3rd Doctor adventures with a very very good facsimile of his voice to enable him to live on is just great. I am dying to have a 3rd/10th crossover...or 3rd/9th....or, as I keep fingers and toes crossed that Big Finish gets him to do some audios...3rd Doctor/12th Doctor....that would be amazeballs.
I first got to know Davison when I moved to Austin in 1985, but a year or so later I got almost the entirety of Pertwee's era on VHS. KLRU even showed the series in episode format, and broadcast Inferno in colour!
This just reminds me of how much I adore Katy Manning and the impact Jo Grant and the 3rd Doctor had on me. I absolutely loved the pair from start to finish in the Classics and love Katy and Tim's work in the audios. Much love to you both! ❤️❤️
Katy Manning is so nice!! When I watched the Third Doctor era Jo quickly became a favorite of mine. I mean, I love all the UNIT family, really, but I really like Jo. Haven't heard much of Manning's audios yet though (I listened to a couple Iris Wildthyme ones but I didn't like them that much). Also forgot Jo was the first to meet Delgado!Master. They debut in the same serial even! (He hypnotizes her into carrying a bomb into UNIT HQ...thankfully The Doctor snaps her out of it in time). I do kinda want to see Jo and Missy together now though 😄 Also OMG Treloar's imitation of Pertwee is on point! Well done!
_Hehe!_ - On the subject of ‘inappropriate touching’, Katy couldn’t keep her fingers out of my spiked blonde hair when I was eighteen and attending Auckland’s ‘Armageddon’ convention in Aotea Centre in the January of 2000 to get Colin Baker to sign my _Attack of the Cybermen_ poster that accompanied that serial’s VHS. I think she signed for me a print of Andrew Skilleter’s _The Curse of Peladon_ VHS home release box art as printed in the book _Blacklight: The Doctor Who Art of Andrew Skilleter._ I said, trying to be diplomatic, ‘I think you were in this one’, and she peers down at it and replies, ‘Yes, I think you’re right - I _was_ in this one!’ and singed the page with a flourish. The next day I’m back, just to grab some _Batman / Detective Comics_ issues I’d seen the day before and decided I needed, and I went over to photograph these three fan-constructed Daleks in the area allocated for the _Doctor Who_ actors and paraphernalia and she noticed me and excitedly ran over and plunged her fingers into my hair again, cooing, ‘Oh, you came back to see me! I simply _love_ this hair!!’ _Damn,_ I might have been tempted to just come out with it and ask her for a coffee / Aucks tiki-tour if I’d known that i), she were single in that year, and ii), I hadn’t been a socially awkward eighteen-year old geek with a mind more akin to that of a fifteen-year old in terms of social sophistication! Maybe if I’d been closer to thirty-five it would have been both appropriate and doable, _IF I knew she were indeed single and I had been prepared for a very likely but very kind and diplomatic declination!!_ But honestly, Katy was like literal sunshine that weekend! - she exuded warmth, enthusiasm, kindness and positivity! Katy - you gave an awkward and goofy kid a memory to cherish for the rest of his life! _Thank you,_ from the bottom of my heart!!! (sure wish I’d been decked out in actual adult man’s trousers at the time rather than those tight kid’s cotton shorts!)
Paul Magrs is a great writer with a fertile and delicious imagination. It would be a very good thing for BF to show the word QUORN on the screen when Katy mentions the meat-substitute. Even though I know of Quorn, my brain couldn't decipher her mention as anything other than PORN. Even the YT auto-generated subtitles note the word as PORN the first time.
As Tim and Katy would LOVE to meet the Master, I would happily act with them as I've been playing the Roger Delgado Master for over a year now. DM me please !

I love Jo. I wish they would have used her more in the Sarah Jane Adventures or a spin off. If they don't bring back every living Doctor and companion for the 60's I will lose all hope. I already stopped watching when Capaldi took over.
All these folk who think Tim Trelore sounds like Jon Pertwee must be deaf! Yeah, he has the mannerisms, but he's not that good. I'd give him 5/10 for effort. When I've seen reviews saying how good he was, I thought he'd be as good as Jon Culshaw is at Tom Baker. Katy Manning is as fabulous as ever though.
I think people love Treloar’s impression more because the stories around him help support it. The soundscapes and writing perfectly capture the style and spirit of 70’s Doctor who that you just kinda go along with it, similar to the first doctor adventures range with the AISAT cast

He has Jon Pertwee's lisp but he just sounds like Pertwee with a sore throat. Needs more practice. Good effort though, he's still quite good.
