Esrael Rosales I'm actually using just the shampoo and conditioner but I think the serum and pills would affect it a little more but what I have is growing great
Super curly haired guy here. No ironing, no creams/waxes, no bobby pins. I just make my bun and then spray and hold back for 5 seconds the flyaways using a hold spray. BOOM! Problem solved in 15 seconds..
I just take some(very little) Brylcreem in hand and add a couple of drops of water, rub it over my palms and then apply it over the top portion of my head where we usually have flyaways. It works like a charm. I do this after doing the bun not before. I even apply whats left on my palms on the bun itself and then on the back side of my head. Gives a nice slick look. Takes care of even those little flyaways.
i got 2c hair and i find that a cheap walmart pomade with shine is perfect. i just use a bit and push my hair back with the product before i tie a half ponytail. maybe a setting spray if you need it to last all day (optional)
Just got my ManBun today after a year of growing. I have a medium bun style and I love it. I got a tip from my Barber who said because I have straight hair I should use pure olive oil and not products on my hair. He said it gives it enough hold to last all day and keeps you're hair and scalp in grate shape.
Are fly always just damaged hair? I used to have them, but now that my hair is almost 2 feet long I don't see any when I put my hair in a bun or pony tail.
I don’t use any thing in my hair and I don’t have fly aways. I just wash it 2 times a week and then I have some oils I diluted and mixed. Maybe it’s just the texture of my hair idk, but I feel like your hair is just to dry so it doesn’t hold together. Oils from your scalp are natural and good for your hair, most people I know with any type of issue with long hair is due to them over washing it and making it dry and brittle
Thank you! I heard hair spray and an old tooth brush can be really effective. I think it's a little more time consuming though. Thanks for the suggestion! :)
When I do men buns I like to do when I have small amount of small hair I like to put them in front of my forehead so it make it easyer when u are in a rush and it looks cool to
My hair seems to be as long as yours and I dont experience that many fly aways. The ones I really have are around my ears. But with my fly aways I usually just tuck them into my hair. Maybe thickness of hair has something to do with it.
I usually use "Shine & Jam Gel & conditioner" it doesn't stick them up. It actually gives them a natural look and holds it well without making my hair hard. My hair feels smooth.
I know this video is old. But i hope people still see it. I drive allot and windows down most of the time. I have not tried any sort of gel or strong hold. If try that will my hair just get messed up anyway and all the fly aways will come back out to play. Or will the strong hold do a good job at taming that.
I am curly but not so curly as an afro. When I started letting my hair grow, I looked like a 70s African singer for 10 months, until I could tie it up. It took another 3 months until it couldn't get afro anymore and just fell down. Now I enjoy my long hair so, That's the process I went through, and I got to tolerate being afro for a whole school year...
Do man buns cause hair loss? I'm 17 so I m super young so I'd like to start early but my mom's family has problems with hair loss so I'd rather not go bald at a younger age.
You probably already heard of them... but you should get some good blue blocker glasses (also known as computer glasses or gamer glasses)... takes a ton of strain off of the eyes from prolonged computer use.
That only happens on the left side of my head and my left side is really weak and breaks off way more than my right side ? Dear Thomas in action can you help us? fight that you're very creative and I really want to know how you go about the situation!!
Darker this lasted me all night. It also depends on how much you touch it and make sure when you take them you are already wearing the shirt you are going out in.
What is the best way to transition from undercut man bun to full man bun. Last year i tried to grow a full man bun but the sides gets keep getting awkward. I have thick hair strands and wavy hair. Pls help me hehehe
Hey Thomas, I’ve got a question. I’ve been growing out my hair from a blended undercut. The sides are longest closer to the top of my head are 4 inches and the top is about 9 inches in the front and around 6 inches at the back. I think it looks absolutely terrible, especially from the back it looks like a mushroom cut lol. I’m just not quite sure what to do about it. I know you grew your hair from a disconnected under cut and the top was initially quite long so I was wondering how you went about doing it. Like if you just kept the top the same length while the sides were growing or just let it all grow then blended it all once the sides were longer. I was also wondering what you think I should do with my hair, should I cut the top down to around the same length as the sides then just keep it all growing or once the sides are getting long should I just even it all out? Right now I’m thinking that the latter is the best idea because I don’t really wanna lose any length. Or if you have another idea or something. Sorry this comment is long. I’ve been really enjoying your hair growth videos they’ve been really helping me out with my hair growth journey. Thanks!
Kaleb Walkmen tbh I had the same thing but what I used was a hairstyle in which I comb my hair to the back or do a side comb over my face and my hair is long now and I still use it sometimes
I have Medium length wavy hair ....Can I use hair wax daily for look with out fly away?? Do I need a shower daily before bed & for reapplying wax again?? Any Hair loss?? Please suggest
@Thomas in Action: How long did it take you to grow our the sides and back of your hair so it could match the top? Did you cut the top to help it blend or what? Plz respond, lol. Thanks
Question, I've been growing my hair for maybe 5 months a it's really long. When I try and put it in a bun or pull it back, the hairs in the front don't reach the back. How would I fix this?
Hey brother... I saw your vedio... Your hair volume is good ... But my hair is going to fall daily... Last week I was shave my head due to this reason....
now that's summathin new, a guy with bobby pins to fix his man bun that he has - kinda - steeled with a stylin' iron. I'm impressed, and a bit amused. now that I am thus enlightened (no kiddin), my only remaining question is: will you do us a pin-curl video? please?
I’m at that awkward phase of growing my hair out. And I’m so tempted to cut it!!!! Like the lower back of my hair looks so odd even compared to other ppl going thru this phase. And I hate the fact that the back of my head/skull is flat so I don’t have that nice round shape which worries me cause the reason why I’m growing my hair is for the man bun. And imma have a flat head man bun!!! :(
Hi, I kinda wanna get an undercut man bun hairstyle, do you think is still a 'viable' choice? Like I have a full man bun rn but I'm struggling a lot with the hair on the sides as it always stays like crap .. An honest opinion would help SO much !! keep up the good work
after covid my hair started falling out like crazy from post viral shock, and now I have a ton of hair thats not the right length (its growing back now) and it looks silly when I put a bun up.. Probably time for a haircut to even it all out again. Sad cuz my hair's down my back now
I have less flyaways so it's easier but I usually put my hair in a bun, use hair spray and my hands to get the flyaways down, take my hair out and brush it, put my hair in a bun, use a little more hair spray and my hands again. Sorry if you don't understand but english it's not my first language...
Can u help me my baby hair is growing in the front do I need to remove them or grow them out BTW i do have a man bun i can tie it and all what am i suppose to do should i cut them or grow them out
Hey @Thomas I have a question, since the length of my hair is long enough to tie it like a man bun, though, the growth of my hair is not even. is it normal? do i have to do something about it? lastly, how can i also grow the side part of my hair? any suggestion, please? I love your videos..it really helps.
I just use texturing clay while the hair is wet then dry 20% of it and catch it in a ponytail ( working only in hot climate countries, except if you really want to catch a cold)
Hey, I have a problem I have sort of really short bangs in front and once I make a bun, they fall out up front and its just ugly and annoying.. Any help?
My hair is long enough for a top knot but the front of my hair is like wavy idk how to explain it but it doesn't look good i want it straight back is there anyway to fix that? Btw my hair is also thick and i have a lot of hair
That watermans crap is insane on my hair I got like 2 inches in a month I swear
Why is it crap then? lol
Thomas In Action it's good crap lol,I just remembered can you do a video on avoiding a mullet in the hair growth process?
Esrael Rosales buy it and start measuring your growth from the 1st to the 31st of the month
Esrael Rosales to see if it works
Esrael Rosales I'm actually using just the shampoo and conditioner but I think the serum and pills would affect it a little more but what I have is growing great
2:00 thank me later.
LOL
Thanks. 2 minutes of the entire video talking bullshit?...
Thank You
Thank you
Thanks
I think Gorilla Glue might also do the trick. It will also last longer and you dont have any shirt problems. Just saying.
Lol you mean Gorilla Snot?
@@stephenbrady4352 no. I mean Gorilla Glue: ruclips.net/video/KBm9OQziFFs/видео.html

*oh no*

The Bun

I’ve had a man bun for 1 1/2 years and I’m just now discovering this video it’s life changing.

I'm actually really happy with using a cream instead of clay or paste. Looks more natural and you can also change to open hair without a problem.
Sweet! I'm glad you found something that works for you :) and thanks for sharing it here man.
Thomas In Action And thanks for the explanation with growth cycles, I thought every flyaway is a sign of breakage/bad hair care...
Super curly haired guy here. No ironing, no creams/waxes, no bobby pins. I just make my bun and then spray and hold back for 5 seconds the flyaways using a hold spray. BOOM! Problem solved in 15 seconds..
I’m a woman with an undercut which looks like a lot of the man buns and I appreciate this video

This is much better advice than just trying hair products to stick the baby hairs down. Thank you!
RUclips is the best invention ever!!
Thanks for an awesome tutorial.
great video, I'd love to see you talk about dealing with baby hairs on the back of the neck area, keeping it neat etc
i got 2c hair and i find that a cheap walmart pomade with shine is perfect. i just use a bit and push my hair back with the product before i tie a half ponytail. maybe a setting spray if you need it to last all day (optional)

Please tell me which olive oil
@@joemama6710 I just use organic virgin olive oil. I still use it to this day. Keeps your hair in amazing shape and a slick shine.
I've a major question! HOW are bobby pins used? How do you apply them? I can't seem to figure out how it works....
Will this also work for my ponytail?
I'm finally able to put all my hair up in a manbun. Thanks so much for the motivation love your character and your content!! Much love London ✌✌
YAY! I'm glad I could help. Thank you so much for supporting my channel!

Lol that does not work with curly people like me... :( so sad
Jhonatan Lujan same
I think that guy is also hella curly

You have to blow dry and then straighten your hair with strengthening irons
@@Agnes135 I didn't have those back then and don't need them now...

I saw you can use an eyeliner brush to brush those flyaways
So you have to do this everyday? Wont that much product everyday ruin your hair? Also, do we have to shampoo every night to get the product off??
Oh god thank you for being so honest about the details, I had a job interview and this video helped me a lot
How many times a week do you wash your hair?
Cool video mate but how many times did he say “like”?
What brand of hair straightener do you use?

I used bobby pins when my hair was shorter. Hair wax are also good though but not that useful for curly or wavier hair I guess.

How much time does it take if i wanna grow hair like you ?
What's a strong hold??
Is it like a pomade?? And can I use only that? And not the iron?
Thick, coarse wavy hair here. Argan oil is enough for me. Cheers
What if I have curly hair, will it be the same process?
I know you said you hate gel but what about pomade?
i used gel on my flyaways and it looked awesome..
Do those eye patches get rid of dark circles
my hair runs down, if i grow it to like 9 inches would it work in a man bun?
What brand is your hair straightener?
I use a cap to do that

how to get rid of flyaways without using a hairstraightner...any instant solution?

The back of my hair spreads like a wing, and it's hard to keep clean. Any tips? I have very wavy hair
question - why not just bun your hair up right after the shower when your hair is still wet? totally removes flyaways for me
Pmsl did u plug them eye patches enough
I need help. I just stared.. and my bun has alot that sticks up any tips?
Hy, where I can find the cream that you use?
I thought those flyaways were my hair being damaged or hair loss. I have to wear a hat alot for work and its my first time growing my hair out.😊
I'd like to see a neat way of doing a top knot/manbun with shaved back and sides. My knot is always floppy and falls apart.
