I’d say Gus Fring, even though he was in the same room as Hector when the bomb detonated. He walked into the hallway just before collapsing; that’s my first point. Second, a “Most Unexpected Brutal TV Show Injuries” list would have to include Miguel Diaz from _Cobra Kai._ Some time after Sam and Tory start the Season 2 finale school fight, Miguel shows Robbie mercy, an act he pays for by being kicked over a railing. You can hear the fear in Tory’s voice as she screams Miguel’s name. Miguel would survive the fall, but many of us feared for him before he returned for Season 3.

Same. I watched SOA for the first time earlier this year and that scene shook me so hard. Jax was already a bad guy but he went on an even worse downward spiral after that
For Aemma's death, I thought Viserys was given the choice of losing both his wife and child if they let nature take its course, or just his wife if they cut the baby out of her. I watched it twice now and I could've sworn that's what was said. Viserys tried to at least save his son since Aemma was going to die either way.
I don’t recall what is said in the book, but that’s the way I understood it in the show as well. The choice was to lose both or at least have a shot at saving the baby.
The shot of George in his dress blues ascending to the afterlife and seeing izzy in purgatory and basically letting her know it wasn't her time is probably the best moment in the entire series

I know this character was only introduced in the same episode she died, but Lexi in the episode "Splat!" of Sex and the City. Amidst her rant during a party she is clearly out of place in, she trips on a long curtain and tumbles out the window of the high rise building. They way they portrayed it was so realistic because it happens SO fast, with no dramatic overkill.
Oberyn’s death hit so hard because in a great scene he shows himself to be the superior fighter against someone who seemed unbeatable just to die because of his own grandstanding.
For me, Edgar in 24 was the most shocking death in a series that was full of them. Just when you thought everyone was safe, they dropped that on you, followed by the silent clock.
Otis from Chicago Fire. His death is on par with Andy Darden’s death. I get Lizzie’s death from The walking dead but what about Carol’s daughter? She goes missing for multiple episodes just to be found in a barn😔
