      don't worry, military strength is not shown through military parade. i watch some extravagant military parade of some country like north korea but their weapons are outdated. while whatching USA parade it looks ordinary not that special but who doubts its power in front line

      Rifqi Aji The fact that you would compare an army which is brainwashed to think they have absolutely nothing to lose with an army which has billions to blow means you know nothing about warfare. Last time I checked these low tech Communists didn't exactly lose the war in either Korea or Vietnam. I think you'd be better off sticking to your parade videos.

    As some one who will be joining a scottish regiment as a piper in the british army it makes me proud to hear the pipers play and see the kilts swaggering. Just one more thing great parade but some of the marching was very sloppy and why and are some people talking on parade and i think i saw a piper go on his phone

    Good question! According to Wikipedia, there are currently 16 Scottish infantry regiments and 1 artillery.

      +TheNavalNation originally it was curb chains sewn onto the shoulders by Indian Army (Raj) cavalry as protection against downward slashes; then taken up and formalised throughout British cavalry regts

    I'm confused here, are these British regiments from Canada during the war of 1812 or a large part of Wellington's troops from the wars against Napoleon sent out after Napoleon was sent to Elba by the Grand Coalition Alliance ??

      They are current Canadian regiments. Last I checked we were a Brittanic people and our military regiments reflect that fact.

      zelaznog (RCMP/GRC) royal Canadian Mountie police our national police service spefically their military units as they are also a military force (the black top half give that away , if it was the police force they would be the red shirt /black pants with yellow stripe/baige hat/brown boots for a uniform specific for special events) the top half is how you tell apart the military units from the policing units.

    How many Canadian Scottish Regiments are there?

      Scotspikeman there is only one "Canadian Scottish" regiment, that is the princess marys. However, there are other regiments such as the black watch, calgary highlanders, 48th highlanders, etc. Our military is intensely scottish. The last kilted unit switched to pants in 2009.
