My OF is 2 oz bourbon, .5 oz maple syrup, 2 dashes of bitters, splash of Grand Marnier for the citrus flavor. Stir well, strain into glass over a big rock. Add cherries and a dehydrated orange slice as garnish. Bomb!
Try Grand Marnier instead of sugar or syrup, and you don't have to muddle an orange slice. It's a sweet orange liqueur in one step, plus it's 80 proof. I always like dark cherry's in mine. Gonna definitely try that chocolate bitters.
Great video! Enjoying the longer form stuff from you guys. One thing though, the audio is panned weirdly? When the person on the right is speaking and hearing it in my left ear, and visa versa, it's a bit awkward trying to watch. Still thoroughly enjoyed the video though! It'd be really cool to see something similar with Gin & Tonics! Keep it up! Fig Old Fashioned looks best to me by the way.
I'm sorry guys but this is not the original or correct way to make an old fashioned. You do not muddle fruit in an old fashioned. It gos 1/4 simple syrup or a sugar cube. 2 to 3 dashes of bitters. And then 2 ounces of bourbon or rye. Then take the peel of an orange and express the oils on the drink then drop it in the glass. A good example would be on how to drink or steve the bartender.
Fortunately he has always stressed he isn't a mixologist and they are always his interpretation of the drinks but its refreshing to see someone correct him without slating him 👍
@@st-xi3ys And? Would you like to read off the name of the drink 1 more time? Do you really think that making an old fashioned, can only be done one way? It’s stupid to think that you can’t improve on anything using the same base ingredients, be better
Now technically it should be called something else but I smoke the glass, add a splash of bitters and maple syrup. Next 2oz lagavulin 1/2oz grand marnier, stir, an orange twist over, then in the glass😘
That definitely is a smokey drink with the lagavulin lol ill have to try it. Another good one is the fall old fashioned. Half ounce of maple syrup 3 dashes of dark walnut bitters and 2 ounces of old grand dad 114. Smoke the glass and express an orange peal. Tast like maple syrup pancakes at a bonfire.
Please stop using fridge ice, is the worst ice you can use, even the ice bags in the super market are better. 😢 and never honey like that, Honey Syrup always. Constructive criticism. Cheers 🍻

My man!
In Wisconsin an Old Fashioned that doesn’t contain brandy is unheard of.
Great variety!

Any chance you guys could make a video on how to buy business and business casual clothes on a budget? For those of us without a mentor in mens wear.

It’s very common to muddle fruit especially in a Wisconsin old fashioned where you often muddle orange and cherry, damn alcohol purists
@justcausejc2811 Those have brandy though not whiskey.

@@justcausejc2811 I was just stating how a Wisconsin old fashioned is made.

Classic Old Fashioned does not have fruit.
I've only had the original
Try these out!
👍🍹🍹👍
Blasphemy!!!!😂
None of these looked good. I want a drink and not a fruit salad.
Same. This is is like 1960s mad Men tv show old fashioned.
