Good videos Jesse. Miss the days hanging out with you and your dad up at your shop when I went to school in Frostburg. That blue ProElite gives me PTSD from getting my ass kicked on league nights at Cumberland Bow Club. Take care man
Jesse…i have one of the first ventums that hoyt came out with but NOW…wow, have got to get a VTM 34. SOOO solid. Hope to meet you at the 2023 Vegas shoot. Take care.
Good information. I also only use blades on all my compounds. I started making them myself because I thought that they may become hard to find. They are actually very easy to make from spring steel sheet stock...
Good stuff, I hope to see you keep up with the videos! Last time I checked out your page, all the content was from years ago. It is nice to see you back sharing your knowledge I hope to see more soon!
Jesse talk about how you use the target rest on your hunting bow please! 😃 I have the TRI rest on my 33 with the same setup in mind for 3D/hunting. How do you draw to insure the arrow does not move off? How do you setup for your shot or when do you not take the shot with this type of rest? Thanks for showing your setup!!!
It’s really no different for me than any other rest… if the arrow happens to fall off during draw, just flip it on with fingers… my broad heads are in front of riser far enough, there is no danger there. I have rubber or mole skin to keep everything quiet when arrow is on rest, or if it falls off. It really is just as easy for me to use this rest, as any other.
I was skeptical about the drop away rest as well but decided to try the trophy ridge one around 40 bucks and my bow is very accurate but that rest isn’t gonna touch the veins anyway
Jesse have you ever considered doing a blade rest setup/ tuning video from start to finish? I've been toying around with trying one out buy there is so little video references to setting one up for someone who has never used one.
How quiet is the rest compared to something like a qad at the shot if you've compared? I would consider hunting with a blade, I love them for target. I actually prefer your freak show rest. And you're also right about the click, I cannot say for certain a deer has ever reacted to the click in my hinge.
You made one good choice on the Broadhead that other one might as well throw it in the trash can it ain't worth a darn tooting another really good Broadhead just for everybody would be the tooth of the arrow man that thing knocks a whole like a 12 gauge slug
If it’s in the budget, yes. The flagship models like this bow, or the RX7 are on another level! If you want a great overall experience for years and years, then yes, you can’t go wrong.
I like the QAD for hunting because the tight containment……never even dawned on me to consider a blade and old school finger wrap, might have to give it a try.
Jesse Broadwater hunts I did not know that Broadwater I'm so proud of you buddy I've always been one of your biggest fans I know you're the world's best at this game I really believe that I know there's a lot of good ones but just it's your heart man you got a good heart and a good head God bless you buddy thank you for the info shooting a blade rest in the woods I don't know about that one I've never really shot one so I can't say it you don't believe the hamski are a limb driven arrow rest is okay that's crazy I guess cuz it don't support the arrow the whole entire time

Appreciate the insight! Next on my list is your signature bow strings with GAS!
I have now used qad exodus for 1-2 years and they are the best. Robust, sharp, straight (even if you hit something hard).
They are impressive!

I have done some before, but I can go over it again :)
Thanks

Dead silent with the mole skin, and honestly with just the 3M tape on bottom of blade, no more noisy drawing back than any other rest.

Magnus stinger buzz cut broadhead works great as well. And they have a great warranty
I think its so cool that you use a blade, 100% Freakshow material
Awesome info. Do you ever feel like the ultraview XL cuts down on arrow clearance? Debating what size to get but don’t want to sacrifice clearance
It’s never been an issue for me. I can reach out to 150 yards, but I shoot a lil bigger peep than most, so that helps.
@@jessebroadwater Good info! Thank you! I ended up ordering the non XL. Stoked to try it. Thanks a ton for the response!
Lol blade rest light arrows and a target sight, gonna grind some peoples gears haha
Better hope ranch ferry doesn’t see this .. 😂

Nice video
What elk state allows artificial light?
Would you recommend this bow for a beginner?
If it’s in the budget, yes. The flagship models like this bow, or the RX7 are on another level! If you want a great overall experience for years and years, then yes, you can’t go wrong.
How on earth do you keep your arrow on a blade when moving in the elk woods?
Off to the side, with my finger around it… never had a problem. 🤷♂️🤓
I like the QAD for hunting because the tight containment……never even dawned on me to consider a blade and old school finger wrap, might have to give it a try.
You said you are shooting a 340 spine at 69.5lbs and 29.25 Dl. is that on the weaker side? or is it because your not running alot of FOC? Thanks bud
It doesn’t show any weak signs. Tuned up great, so no reason to look for any stiffer :)
@@jessebroadwater Thanks for the reply. I think i may be running too stiff of an arrow. I shoot 70lbs 28.5 and run a 27.5 inch .300 spine

Thanks buddy! Nothing against other ret choices. To each their own. I love the simplicity of the blade.
Madman👊
How smooth are you?
I’m Jesse Broadwater spot and stalking with a blade rest smooth…
🤣
Are you using the hit insert in that axis? If so 75gr or broke off to 50gr?
He says total arrow weight is 425 so it’s the standard insert ..
@@windellpenton I had failed to catch the total weight and do the math. Thank you for the reply!
Standard aluminum HIT insert :)
@@jessebroadwater thanks!
Why not using the new speed bow?
I may order one :)
Low brace and more harsh draw cycle .. 😎
Elk picture
Unfortunately I was not successful on my elk hunt. But it was an experience like no other!
😊 Promo*SM!
Who in there delusional mind is trying to tell Jesse effing BROADWATER!! How to set up a bow for anything?!! Lol 😆 🤣
