This video is wrong. You need to keep a single basket in the portafilter and insert the cleaning disk with tablet on top of it. The flush is meant to clean the machine not the portafilter. It back flushes into the tray. Also as said previously, remove the water filter from the reservoir. I don’t think you would want to drink descaling fluid. I suggest the video is replaced. I could be mistaken but don’t think so.

Most of household espresso machines clean as backflush system and on the video it shows a leak through portafilter and Descale cycle instructions says: “2.Empty water tank and remove water filter”. This video is misleading, unfortunately.
You are correct. I’ve just watched this to see how to do it for the first time as I couldn’t find the sage tutorial but then I did and watched it there. Add single cup filter. Place rubber part in that and tablet in compartment. Remove filter from tank. Run cycle remove cleaning equipment. Clean and Refill water tank Run rinse cycle Clean and refill tank again This video is completely wrong and in my opinion dangerous going to report it to try and get it removed
There is a small tool that comes with the coffee machine similar to a needle that you can clean the steam wand with so it doesn’t get blocked I hope this helped and you understood what I meant.
Bruh, a Coffee Channel thats showing wrong cleaning... The Tablets are for backflushing the grouphead. There should not be water dripping out. Leave the Portafilter in, then put the disc and the tablet. Also descaling with the water filter is crap. You destroy the filter and it will taste of descaler. Take it out, then descale. Please, please remove this.

The small pin only helps for a short time. I use a wooden tooth picker to unblock, works much better.

The machine should've said that to remove water filter and to use single shot bascet, I had to figure that out myself.
