The first part (female voice), beautifully voiced by Bangladeshi living folk legend Momtaz Begum, is a type of folk song called "Noila Gaan" from the northern region of Bangladesh, a spiritual prayer to Allah (God) for rain, originally written by another renowned Bangladeshi Bhawaiya folk singer Abbasuddin back in 1940 when Bengal was suffering from severe drought. The Second Part (male voice) is by sang Mizan Rahman, also another renowned vocalist, loved for his powerful voice, originally a Bhandari Song, which is a type of Sufi song from the Chittagong region of Bangladesh, written by Romesh Fakir Maizbhandari, in the song, writer wonders about his spiritual connection to Allah (God) / Divine Entity.
Momotaz has such a bold singing style that this song really surprised me with how much she mellowed it down!!

At 3:44 the instrument used is called Khomok. It almost sounds similar to a talking drum used in the famous score of Black Panther. This instrument is an integral part of Bangla Baul song.

The song "Allah Megh De Pani De Chhaya Dere Tui" sung by Coke Studio Bangla Season 01 was sung by most popular folk singer Mamtaz Apa and Mizan Bhai former vocal of a very popular band WARFAZE, two arrogant and legendary musicians of Bangladesh. There was another person involved who I may not know but I became a fan of him. The musicians have played their instruments in a wonderful way. In a word, Shayan Chowdhury Arnob the music director of Coke Studio Bangla has performed a song that makes Bangladesh proud.

this song was written, composed and sing by Bangladeshi music Emperor Abbas Uddin Ahmed in the 1940s. Later in Hindi Cinema, sachin dev barman recorded the song in the same tune with the same title. Later this song singing Again by Alauddin ali with Runa Laila both of (Bangladesh) lay and became Very popular.Later bappi Lahiri made a Hindi version of de Raya laya with runa Laila in the super runa album. Later kishore Kumar and asha bhosle sang different songs in the movie
