Thank you so much for this. I embraced Sanata Dharma about 5 years ago. Since then I have gone from one or two small Murties to quite an accumulation. I am trying to figure how to make it more organized and better reflect the essence of what it means. I love your statement at 1:32 if it isn't expensive it is too small and if it fits your needs it isn't good quality. That is exactly what I have found. I was wondering if it would be ok to construct something using shelving such as you have done and when I came across this I was very happy. I looked at shrines in stores and on line but that is not something one can purchase (IMHO) without knowing what you will eventually accumulate. For example the first one I looked at would have suited me then but would be way too small now. At any rate your presentation is extremely helpful. Thanks again
Im glad to come across your video its awesome divine home temple i would say even better than traditional mandirs available in market..very beautiful nd since its made by yourself im sure it gives you more satisfaction when you worship..im going to follow your concept thanks a lot you just solved my 2 months long search..i was looking for something like this but exact furniture piece I couldn’t able to find which i can transform into mandir.. thanks a lot
Excellent video. We will be very soon moving into our new home in Toronto. Always desired to have a simple yet elegant and divine pooja room. Will use some of your hacks. Thanks for sharing.
Hi mam. This is Vidhya. Sairam iam so so happy to see ur Pooja room setup especially when I saw Baba's photo I felt so happy. Really nice setup very neat and elegant. May swamy bless u all mam. Lots of love.
Hi Sonali. Extremely creative and innovative idea of using the Ikea Garden furniture for Pooja Mandir. Even I have the same battery operated lights but they run out very fast. So please recharged batteries ready always.
A very cool idea - just what I was looking for! You are correct, ready made mandirs are very expensive in USA. This has given me lot of ideas :-) Thanks for posting.
What a wonderful compliment to you, your mother-in-law must think a lot of you to entrust you with the safe keeping of 5 generations of idols 😊 They must be missing you very much back in India. I've been wondering how they're all getting by without your organizing and systems! Although I don't understand, all your traditions just yet, I find I am interested in the meaning behind each celebration and homage. I am also very interested to see what changes you've made since being in the USA. Take care, 🙌🏻❤️ love your inspiration, Linda from Western Australia 🇦🇺
Hey Linda! It took me 2 days to think of a good reply to your wonderful comment. ...and i couldn't think of the best words to thank you! :) Lots of love to you too!
Beautiful hack for setting up a pooja mandir. In 1998, a year after I converted to Hinduism, I set up pictures of Lord Ganesha, Lord Krishna, Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati, Lord Kartik with Mother Valli and Mother Devyani all which I cut out from different books and magazines on a TV table and used that as a puja mandir. Then in 1999, someone gave me a small shoe rack with white laminate finishing which I used as an altar for 21 years until last year. Now, I have my puja mandir set up on a two tier bookshelf with white laminate finishing. But these are not well set up for keeping pooja items. I will try this idea you suggested as since long, I wanted something on which I can have my religious photos on top and have my pooja books, cassettes and CDs, bell and kartals in a cupboard on the bottom.
@@bowerspace2670 I am happy to have told you about my pooja mandir and how it evolved over the years!! 🙂🙂 Soon, I will get a spare shelf which I will add to my current pooja mandir. I will keep my main deities' photos on the upper levels, my bhajan and stotra CDs will go on the additional shelf once it is added and my bhajan books and chanting books along with my bell and kara taalam will be on the bottom.
Awesome idea. The madir that you showed on amazon, they are so small, that you cant fit majority of your collections. So fantastic idea!!! I am wondering what made 15 ppl dislike this video?
Hi Priyanka. I have used the regular shelf liner. You could use anything that is easy to clean. I will update links based on many requests, in a day. Please do check it up. 😊🙏
Happy Ugadi Sonali to u &. Ur family. This is a perfect mandir i would dream for. U have displayed the dietes and hung the frames in a neat and organised way. Once again well thought of and superbly maintained ma dir
lovely dear..i just love the way u have used this as pooja mandir...i never saw this in ikea..wil check fr it..thx dear... hey r u a devote of sai baba..i am since childhood. .. in USA there a lovely place where pooja n bhajan takes place. ..plz do visit
great sister. I also could not find good mandir/altar for gods and to perform pooja. we would probably copy the same as you, if not completely, most of it. Thank you for the idea.
Hello dear. Your puja mandir is so organised. Really u have a great idea . So beautiful. Glad to see Lord Jagannath , Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra in ur mandir. Also Sai baba 👌👌👌

Hello mam, loved your idea of mandir.... I wanted to know how do you maintain all those brass items shiny?? I do have lots of brass idols but very difficult to clean them as they have little grooves and all, kindly anwer..
Hi! I use Pitambari. Otherwise soak brass items in Tamarind pulp for half an hour and rub it thoroughly. It will shine and won’t be sticky. Let me know how it works😊
Dear you have done it very intelligently.. I..am also going to shift home where ther no arrangement for Pooja room.. So m also in need of like this.. I liked a lot ur idea.. Pls can u share same in India how can I buy and for how much?
Thank you, Dipti! I am not sure where in India will you find this exact thing. But, if you show this to a carpenter, I am sure he can help you! You could on the other hand use a nice bench and create the look by keeping a plank in the background with hooks on them.
Bowerspace.. Yes it's a good idea.. You are exceptionally intelligent in organizing.. It's not like one can not think.. But u r able to do coz u give ur hundred percent in that.. Beautiful.. Lots of love
ha ha ha...thanks a ton! Btw... i was updating the description box to the video, i got another idea - you could use wall shelves too. I a, still working on it. Check in another 10 minutes. I have found out very similar stuff on Amazon India which is sure to get the look! Tell me how you like it, okay :)
