Kos-Mos was so freakin OP and she remains one of my all-time favorite characters because of it. She hit like a truck and actually felt like a battle android should. Something to fear. Something to be in awe of
I actually love the battle system for this and how you can customize each move set for each characters. it was fun - slow and grinding but still enjoyable. Anyways, great ending - I always have a nail biting experience when I would watch the collapse of Proto Merkabah. Pain by Joanne Hogg is a nice song placement here.
@@ps2emulator its weird how I can complain about the grinding I did when playing FF6, 7 8, 9 and 10 but for some reason I didnt complain with this particular one. I think its something to do with inputting commands into buttons that lets me change up the strategy every now. Or the fact that I enjoyed some character lines. Case in point: Mystic powers, grant me a miracle! Haha.
Hey guys, i whant to thank you for the great work you have done and you are doing! I still have my save file from this game from so long ago, If there is any way to get my save file from my PS2 memory card to my PC it would be perfect. I want to relive this classic. The Memories & Nostalgia still gets me....Thanks guys and please continue with your amazing work PCSX2
You could install FMCB on your ps2 then use Ulaunchelf to get the file from your memory card onto a flash drive. Just make sure you use a PSU paste instead of a normal paste.
Is it possible to smooth out the aliasing in pre-rendered cutscenes? Maybe MSAA? (Can't try it because my CPU/GPU is beyond weak ;p) And would it still apply when that cutscene is stretched to support a higher resolution?

PCSX2 Thank you for answere. I tested this ver and it has bug, where plugin sse4 makes game freezes for sec or 2 and controllet stops to work for sec or 2 or some button freezes too on this controller. Could you make a guide about every plugin, because graphic with sse4 looks much better than avx-r and Gran Turismo works flawless, no fps drops etc on ver 1.2.1. There are hundret of options which I dont know what are those for. Your job is great and just keep it, I wish to see PS3 emu in near future because of more awsome games that we can't get for pc
***** SSE2/3/4/AVX have no change in image quality, if you use the same settings, they only affect speed. Read the configuration guide about what each option does. pcsx2.net/config-guide/official-english-pcsx2-configuration-guide.html
Are you going to add an option for PCSX2 to take advantage of high-cache CPUs? I am using a Vishera 8 core with 8mb of L2 and 8mb of L3 cache... so that would be really helpful on my system.
hmmm... I am pretty sure that assembly gives you direct control of CPU cache.... it does give you direct access to registers, so why wouldn't it give you access to the cache memory? Of course, assembly programming is a *little* beyond me at the present(my knowledge of C is solid), and I cant focus on my programming knowledge cause I am writing a political/economic/social theory(which incorporates elements of computer science for automated governing)... and then moving on to biochemistry when I complete that. I will have to get back to you on that.
PCSX2 i useing ver 1.2.1 and i have some serious drops on some maps in few pleaces (most of time game run smoothly, but not all the time, avvrage 40fps - pal ver and latest bios from 2008) in Gran Turismo 3, my spec 8gb dr3 1600mhz, i54670k, hd7950
I have actually Played RE4 and it worked incredibly well 60FPS for almost all gameplay, there was a little bit of sound-lag when loading cut scenes... the biggest issue I had was that when I got the IR scope in the 5th chapter of the game, I had to switch to software emulation to use the IR scope.
The PCSX2 functions better than the dolphin emulator(gamecube)... but that is expected since the gamecube featured more advanced hardware than the PS2.
Hey PCSX2, I just wanted to say that I love your product. Runs incredibly well on my gtx 650 + i5. I think if you want your software to take the next level, I suggest making a new, clean, modern User interface, Like adding icons for games or something. Not neccessary though, Love your software.
This question is for anyone: I have a Xeon E5-2690 10-core processor, 16gb ddr3, gtx980 2-way sli PC. I want my PCSX2 games to have a drastic graphical increase (custom shaders/textures, whatever). Can anyone help me with the best options/settings possible?

I want an honest opinion about this, it's about my hardware, to be more specific, about my CPU. I have an intel core i5 2310 @ 2.9GHz, and I see that in all of your videos, you run these games on an intel Core i5 2500k @ 4,3 GHz and I'm not getting the same results like in these videos, I mean, they're not bad but, I have some low FPS drops sometimes (39 - 25 fps).. like in MGS Snake Eater for instance and some other. So, is it because of my CPU?. I'll put the rest just in case: > GPU: AMD Radeon R9 270x 2GB GDDR5 > 8 GB RAM > Win 7 Pro SP1 - 64 bits And, of course, I've tried lots of configurations to run like these videos and I've been able to get 60 FPS but the graphics gets worst.
PCSX2 Just one last thing, I'm thinking getting the intel core i7 3770K @ 3.5 GHz, since is the max CPU model that my mainboard can hold. Do you think it would be a good choice? Thank you for your reply.
PCSX2 This is far from being OP. Anyway, nice video. I hope i can make my emulator work like this because my PS2 is scratching my discs and 1080p makes this game even more enjoyable.
cyraxmaster23 No, but will reduce the amount of animations you'll have to watch. Normal battles in this game take 30 to 60 seconds. Animations that have CG on it like Momo's transformations, Kos-Mos and Shion's ethers can be cancelled.
Kos-Mos was so freakin OP and she remains one of my all-time favorite characters because of it. She hit like a truck and actually felt like a battle android should. Something to fear. Something to be in awe of

With a strong enough graphics card and processor, the emulator can run most games at 60fps no problems?
Just like XC2.

From what I see you cannot move the camera angle, so the right stick is useless?
