First of all, congrats again on reaching this milestone, you deserve it (and so much more!!) 🥰 Now, excuse me, I would NEVER have guessed that you are in your forties, please let me age as gracefully as you 🤣🤩 Really loved getting to know you so much better through all these questions, and I deeply appreciate your open, honest and raw answers. I am so happy to hear that you are in such a better headspace now than you were as a child, I just want to give you a super big hug ❤ Also, I knew we were friends for a reason, Dune movies supremacy 🤣 And oooh I am so ready to follow you along on both your further booktube journey and your author journey. If I could read in Italian I would have devoured all your books a long time ago. Can't wait for the translations, good luck with the publishing process of those! Wishing you allll the best, I am so grateful to have met you through our shared love of stories 🥰
Thank you my friend. Your support makes the whole experience so much better honestly! Yep, mama Montero says she's the reason I look younger, so she's claiming full ownership of your compliments 😂 I wasn't sure if I was going to answer all the questions, some of them were pretty personal. I could have been superficial about those, of course, but it didn't feel right (I totally understand if others decided to skip those tho). In the end, acknowledging the past, both good and bad, is a way to deal with it and heal, when possible. So yeah, I'm happy those answers came through as genuine as they actually are. I can't wait to share more about my books. It's been years since the last time I've felt so excited about one of my projects. I guess stepping into a completely new market is rejuvenating. I needed it, honestly. I'm super grateful for all the amazing people I've met in this community, and proud to call you a friend. Ps. I survived the controversial statement about Dune (sometimes it hurts to be right 💀💀💀😂😂😂🙃😉) and now I feel like I can ride a Sandworm 🤣🤣🤣
@@bookswithabel Hahaha bless mama Montero 🤣❤ And beautifully said. I know it's not easy to confront the past sometimes, but hiding from it or being ashamed of it ultimately does no one any good. I feel like that excitement for your storytelling is already coming through, and I can't wait to see how that translates onto actual pages. So proud of you!! Now, let's ride some sandworms together 🤣🤣
Wow you are at 544 by the time I watched this. May that number continue to grow. Also, I love that you keep talking about your books, definitely not tired of it. I'm just excited for when I can read them. I may not agree with you about your hill, but I will stay as a subscriber lol. 😸
Thank you Laura! To be fair, I respect the book immensely even if I don't particularly enjoy the experience of reading it, so thank you for your patience 🤣 I wasn't sure to keep that sentence about Dune in the video, but in the end we all survived! Thank you for watching and for supporting the channel!
Congratulations Abel! I’m at your dream vacation question and if you want to see beautiful autumn colors and small town America then you are more than welcome to visit me in Michigan! We have a spare bed for visitors.
Funnily enough, I lost track of that book for 20+ years (I borrowed it from my brother, who failed to explain to me the concept of trilogies 🤣🤣🤣, and when he got married and moved far away my access to his library ended abruptly. Tragic!) so I actually came around The Riftwar cycle just fairly recently. I finally found a set of hardcovers in pretty great shape just a couple of weeks ago, and I'm pretty excited to read the second book. Magician has aged poorly on many aspects, it was pretty clear when I listened to the audiobook last year, but it was a nice way to reconnect with my 15 or 16yo self. So yes, I'll read book two soon and let you know what I feel about it!
But you live close to Italy I live 10,000 miles from there you have never been to Rome. I just ordered the faithful and Fallen by have you read it. I like Sci-Fi movies but I prefer to read fantasy books
I've visited Rome, but I'd love to spend some quality time there 😁 Ah, I still have to read The Faithful and the Fallen, it's on my never ending reading list! Let me know if you like it. And yeah, Sci-fi is pretty popular in tv and movies, because visual mediums make it more approachable I guess. I'm trying to strike the right balance between sci-fi and fantasy books I'm reading, let's see how it goes
Congratulations

One sister who has six brothers! I feel bad for her boyfriends! LOL!
She's the boss! 🤣
I read Magician Apprentice a few weeks ago. Do you recommend the second book?

I am shifting more to Brooks finding movies these days to be horrible I have stop going to the movies
I totally understand. I love the movie going experience, but I've found very few movies deserve that lately.
Thanks for watching!
