Wow! Quite a lot of books to look out for in 2025. I was hoping you’d mention the second book by Gourav Mohanty coming out in February. His first book Sons of Darkness is one of my favorite books of 2024 and the sequel is called Dance of Shadows. Check it out. You won’t be disappointed!

Haha, you'll get Divinity's Twilight book 3 in 2025 . . . or you can pull a George R.R. Martin and put me in prison till I finish. 😜 Should have that cover for you to show off in 3-4 months.

Anyone that cuts a video on top Space Opera that fails to put E.E. Smith's Lensmen series at the top is a poseur. Smith _invented_ Space Opera, and NO ONE has done it better than him (try as some might, with Yoshiki Tanaka being the best one going with _Legend of the Galactic Heroes)_ even with the advantages of being feature films, long-running prestige television, comic adaptations by master comic authors and artists, audio dramas, etc. Because Smith, in the Lensman series, _invented the modern day Combat Information Center_ used by modern navies worldwide. No successor has any anything like that level of influence.

Can confirm that Baptiste Pinson Wu and Dave Lawson have written some incredibly fun and engaging stories, I think you will have a blast with those! And ooooh I am so intrigued by The City of Mist and Tears by Alex Robins, the buzzwords are buzzing! 👀 Loved your review of Athyzia, and completely agree with everything you said. The emotional disconnect at the start was also the biggest hurdle for me, but I really enjoyed how it all came together in the end and I loved how it set up the sequel in such an unexpected but intriguing way! Hope you continue to enjoy Heliotrope, that is such a masterfully crafted slow-burn story 🤩 Can't wait for your 2025 SFF indie releases bonanza hahah. My good friend Laura A. Blake (also here on booktube) is publishing her debut The Forgotten Dawn on June 5th, which you should 100% add to the list! I have witnessed the story develop from the very first page, and it's been incredible. One of my new favourite fantasy romances that perfectly balances the two genres. Cover reveal is December 3rd btw, keep your eyes peeled!! Wonderful video, and I was so honored to be included! The ones I'm most interested to try out are The Binding Tenets, Tanna the Tendersword, and The Council of Athyzia. Had my eye on that last one for a good minute.

Okay you have totally sold me on Shards of Earth! I have been meaning to read more Tchaikovsky, so this is gonna jump to the top of the priority list :))) Also can't wait to read Tanna for judge duties soon, I need to know what type of magic is in that book that makes everyone just fall in love with it hahah. You pronounced Aagard perfectly! Great video, quite an amazing list of books, my TBR has grown yet again! To give a bit of backstory on the googly eye edition. It was originally never supposed to see the light of day. I had severe imposter syndrome while drawing the book cover which resulted in a bit of a mental break. I added the googly eyes to cheer myself up and stop myself from taking the cover art so seriously. I shared woro in progress images and included the googly eye version as a joke and everyone loved it and wanted it as a cover. I thought it was hilarious and agreed to make a limited edition run for those who wanted it. I'm of the opinion more googly eye editions should exist in the world.
