Look at how many make up era songs they play here. I find it difficult to believe they didn't already have plans to put make up on 12 months before they did
Pre-reunion KISS of the early 90s was the time when they started to get respected for real. Then it went downhill with the reunion (and Carnival of Souls)
So on point. KISS' last great era right here. They're firing on all cylinders this night. I've seen KISS live a dozen times and they never kicked as much ass s they did here. This set list is unreal!!!!
Brennan Wright Eric Carr was an exceptional drummer, but there was a divine will that drove him, respecting all religious beliefs here. But Eric Singer had replaced him by then, had gone through great bands, etcetera. but there was a change of sound from the 80's to the 90's, and Eric Singer was well updated, it was the beginning of the grunge era. I agree that with Eric Carr this concert would have been great, but Eric Singer didn't owe anything ...
What about Rob? I disagree, there’s no scientific fact to prove that anyone is the better drummer lol , It’s not because he’s gone but I think Carr just had a style about him that attracts me to listening to drums , as for Dave Grohl as well
@@brennanwright1887 There you go... Dave Grohl and Eric Carr are inferior drummers. Listen to Detroit rock city Animalize tour. The drum tempo is going up and down. Sign of a mediocre drummer.
The end of the second greatest era of Kiss. The last era Firehouse was played live. Pauls voice right at the end of it's maturity, from here on it's headed south.
74 torino, when Ace has already said he wanted to quit? And Peter could barely play? You’re confusing the band’s “greatness” with the height of their popularity. Musically, this version of Kiss (in the video) is when they were at their best. Yes, Kiss with Eric Carr, Vinnie Vincent, and Bruce Kulick was also very good, but during that time period is when they also were playing everything at a much faster tempo. The Hot in the Shade and Revenge era were their best. In my opinion, the Revenge era is the best because Gene’s songwriting finally returned to past glory and they also went back to black and silver and appeared most cohesive.
@@Dr.Jekyll Totally agree! They sounded so powerfull! Maximum shape for all. Paul's Voice is on top, Eric, Gene and Bruce are a Wall of sound. My favorite records of Kiss are Alive 3, Carnival of souls and Alive 4!

In hindsight, The Reunion was cool but it really ruined KISS as a viable band. The difference between this and the original lineup (No diss to Ace and Peter, but their best days were behind them, though they had a few solid performances) is massive.
@@martywhite1084 listen to “Revenge” and “Carnival of Souls” Bruce’s playing is VERY memorable and kicks total ass! Ace couldn’t play any of Bruce’s leads from those albums! lol
I forgot "Carnival of Souls", maybe it's because it never sriked me as being a well produced or cocieved album. Shockingly I prefered "Music from the Elder" a better album, but that is only my opinion
Ian Littlewood did you just compare carnival of souls to the elder? Like the most drastically different sounding albums in their entire discography haha. But honestly carnival of souls was produced by the same producer as Alice In Chains and sounds amaaazing

The swan song tour of agreat band. They sound so tight. All the classocs sound wicked as well. Can't even start to compare it to what kiss has become since then. What a joke of themselves. The reunion tour has ruined it all for them musically. Who cares about the fans, Money rules.... I guess.
It's more likely it was used due to the size of the venue. That stage was more compact than the one for Revenge. Easy to set up quick, tear down and move.
How does Paul stop playing & start dancing for a few long moments, often, yet you never hear any change in the guitars .......Maybe Bruce is carrying the rythym mostly?
Ouch....Eric Dropping the tempo on "King" when he comes into the verse. That just kills the vibe. After watching a bunch of Eric Carr shows it's hard to adjust to Singer. Carr was just such an animal and never dropped the tempo. I miss that dude.
But you're ok with that obvious tempo drop? At least bring some evidence. How singer got the job after having Carr in there is somewhat ironic. He can barely tune his own drums. @@gsoltis29 Oh boy, and you have to be in your 60s by now. Relax man... Obviously I am comparing it to Eric C's drum sound. 21 months later, reunion tour
I love Kiss both masked and unmasked but I miss Kulick era full of energy and professionalism
i'm a big Ace fan since 10 years old but Kulick was the best overall lead guitar player they had
They use the 84' Animalize stage for this tour - interesting.

King of the night time world al principio.

Seems like they were somewhat "hungry" again as a band at this period.. Grunge and post grunge was the main thing at the time.
Kiss without the makeup was cool with Bruce Kulick. Musically it was better.
Love how with Bruce still in the band, they only play 4 songs from his period. Writing is on the wall, Kulick.

Where & what haven't they done.
The sound quality is not great, but tbe drums are flawless.
Who sings Eric Carrs parts on God Gave Rock & Roll To You here? Is it Singer?

Nope, there are films from Australia in february too, and of course the whole Konvention tour.
